It was a pleasure to get to know the Sutherland sisters. They each have their own challenges but they come together to overcome these. I really felt for both Juno and of course Lexia as she navigates coming back to Midhope and reconnecting with her family.

Julie has written a lot of depth for each character making them as if this is a true story. My favourite character has to be Juno, though all of the sisters are resilient and incredible. I adored Tilda’s horse he had some great attitude! I was gripped from the first page to the last, but I also didn’t want the story to end either.

‘Sing Me A Secret’ is about family and coming together in times of crisis ❤️ I can’t wait to read more of Julie’s writing. I give ‘Sing Me A Secret’ 4*/5* 😊

Thank you to Aria Fiction for an advanced copy of this book via Netgalley.

Plenty of mini story lines but not too many to make it complicated! I loved the characters and the description of the choir practice. A good easy read.

As ever, Julie Houston has written a clever, uplifting, hilariously entertaining novel. I have long been a fan of the Westenbury/Midhope series of novels, as they unfold so cleverly and with such ingenious links. You'll laugh one moment, you'll cry the next, but all along the way you'll be loving the ride. From the very first page, 'Sing Me A Secret' grabs you with its larger than life, but also very realistic characterisation, its wonderful language and Julie's fabulous understanding of humanity - especially what makes women tick.

It was great to see some cameos from established characters from her series of novels, and the lead sisters were all well rounded and skilfully drawn, but then I wouldn't have expected anything less. I eked this book out a little because I just didn't want it to end. I cannot wait for the next novel!

PS - Scott Butler now joins my top ten of heroes I'd love to spend an evening with!!

I love this author and couldn't wait to read her latest book. I wasn't let down at all as simply brilliant was a laugh out loud book from beginning to end full of secrets and families and can they work through it and move forward to the future or not. Really warm read set in a beautiful village and great characters and you just want to keep reading.
The Sutherland sisters have had very different lives but they all hold one secret but there is going to be a production of Jesus Christ superstar and will this bring them all back together. The sister Lexie who is a pop star is returning to Westenbury I'm sure not everyone will be pleased. To be fair even Lexie isn't sure about returning as you has to many memories. The other sister who is a local dr Juno Sutherland she has everything in order but a locum dr turns up and takes her room how will she react. She's also going to be in the show will the sisters be able to uncover the past and move forward to start a future together or not. How will the performance go and will they be able to win. Will the sisters really be able to be close again or not.
Full of secrets and worth more than five stars.

This is a fabulous book from Julie Houston. My favourite so far from the three I've read this year.

The Sutherland family have a star in their midst but a whole host of secrets that they're hiding from their selves and each other.

A fabulous book with lots of intrigue and interest and keeps you interested until the end

Loved it!!! I love getting to revisit Midhope and the characters from the previous books. Although, sometimes I have to remember who each one is. Loved Juno. She definitely made me laugh. I'm not sure how she was married to Fraser for so long, because they are extreme opposites. Does Fraser even realize he has children?? He didn't show much interest in them. Harry Trotter definitely had pony attitude. I loved reading about the sisters- Juno, Lexia, Ariadne and Pandora. They were all interesting in their own way. Pandora was my least favorite, but she eventually grew on me but not until the very end of the book. I'm wasn't surprised by Lexia's behavior when she was younger. She had an absent dad who was a womanizer and eventually leaves his family for someone else and a mother who is on the crazy side and loves her philandering husband more than anything. Of all the reoccurring characters from Midhope, Izzy is my least favorite. I don't hate her but just don't enjoy her as much as Grace, Harriet and Clementine.

Definitely recommend the book. I loved the characters, writing style and story. The sisters definitely made me laugh with their sense of humor. I just LOVE the books that take place in Midhope. They make me want to move there and become friends with everyone. Can't wait to read more books by the author. Her books never disappoint.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Aria through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Another good book dealing with mental health issues. The story of Lexi who at a young age wants to be a singer. But as things aren’t happening and he’s too young, she meets a man named Damian.. unfortunately things don’t go to plan and she gets some unexpected news. Along with this her other sisters are also having their own issues. Lexi does make it big and marries a well known footballer. Twists and turns follow. This book will keep you hooked.
