This book was more of a who was who in hollywood at the time Valley of the Dolls was made into a movie. It is a little disjointed in the flow and difficult to follow if you are not already familiar with some of the famous names. Before reading this book, one should read or re-read Valley of the Dolls and watch the movie. It would definitely help the reader understand what the author is trying to say.

A loving tribute and a painstaking, detailed account. More for die-hard fans or film study students rather than the casual voyeur.
