An extremely well written book, full of twists and turns to keep the reader enthralled. This was a book I couldn’t put down.
Set in fictional Whitsborough bay with a superb cast of characters, I didn’t want it to end. This was book 2 of a series but is a completely stand alone book
Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood books and Jessica for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review

.A twist of fate makes this wonderfully written story come to life. Yet another beautifully written novel by Jessica Redland, she gets better with each book she writes. I enjoyed this from cover to cover and can't wait to read the next one. All I will say is that it is about a group of friends that met mainly at uni and became friends for life.. This is a 10 star novel but I can only give it 5, sorry Jessica but that is all I am able to give. I highly recommend this, so go and get a copy and enjoy.

A nice easy to read book. A welcome change from the usual crime genre I read.
I found the 'Steve' bit of the story a bit grating, grown women behaving like kids.

Granted, some of the things in this chick-lit are very fairy-tale like. Ok, most of them. The godmother who - out of the blue - presents Sarah with her own business and home and no money worries, because guess what: her new business is doing great! The predictions of a clairvoyant, the handsome local guy who is ticking all the right boxes (except for his name) and is even oh so understanding and gives her the space and time she needs, and finally also her dream for so many years suddenly comes true...

But even though it is a sappy story (and the characters all are bit clichéd), it is also very cute & cosy, and I liked reading about Sarah and her search for Steven. I personally don't believe in any of that hocus-pocus, be it fortune telling, tarot card reading, asking a pendulum or playing with an ouija board. But in this case I could blend this out and just enjoy the ride.

I only enjoyed about 40% of this book - from about 20% to about 60%. I found Sarah hard to stomach. I cannot understand why she had been with Jason for over 2 years, and has somehow not mentioned that she hates the fitness he’s really into. He doesn’t notice when she’s really upset. Then she stays with him, miserable, for another year! I then enjoyed the part from when she finally breaks up with him to when Andy reappears in her life. Then throughout the rest of the book, she takes totally unclear things she’s seen or heard, and doesn’t bother to verify them, or check with the man she’s decided is The One if they are true. I was simply left with the feeling that he deserved someone who is willing to check facts before abandoning the love of her life.

However, I did enjoy the section where Sarah was setting up her shop, and searching for Steven (before she realised who she was in love with). The premise of the book is amusing, but the execution is really not to my taste.

I was given a free copy of this book. My opinions are my own.

New Beginnings at Seaside Blooms gave my heart major flutters.
After breaking up with long time boyfriend Sarah and two of her best friends are packing up her stuff so she can move back to her hometown. While going through Sarah's personal belongings the girls find an old cd recording of a psychic reading Sarah received years before.
The psychic predicted Sarah would meet The One and his name would be Steven.
Sarah goes in search desperately trying to find her Steven and ends up on a dating site, and many tragic and hilarious encounters with guys named Steven,
Unfortunately Sarah meets a wonderful man named Nick, and falls for him, but he's not a Steven! To make things worse her ex boyfriend who broke her heart comes back into the picture and she realizes his middle name is STEVEN!
Sarah now needs to make a decision on who the right man is before she loses The One.

Full of emotion, ups and downs and heart versus mind the plot takes a twist at the end that is so worth the heart flutters and tears. New beginnings can be scary but so worth it in the end.

There is no better way to escape the daily hassles of life than curling up with a great romance book. “New Beginnings at Seaside Blooms” fits this requirement and so much more. We all want to be swept off our feet by love, but sometimes it’s hard to know if a relationship that seems good enough is all that we need. I couldn’t put this book down as a cheered on Sarah in her quest to find “the one”. I can’t wait to read more books by Jessica Redland.

This book was hard to put down. I devoured it in two sittings. The story was so captivating it made you not want it to end. I love it!

I only downloaded one book of the series to test the waters but enjoyed it so much that I ended up requesting the other two immediately. This is a review of an Advance Reviewers copy but is wholly based only on my reading experience.

I am a sucker for a well-told leading lady. Sarah Peterson is leading a basically normal life, she has her ups and downs. Still, at the time we first meet her (on her 29th birthday) she thinks the positives outweigh the negatives in her life, but things derail almost immediately. She has two friends, and realistically they are of two different worlds. It is not often that I meet characters in this genre for who it makes sense to be at odds. I find it very hard to imagine too many of my school friends being able to hang out with my college friends, I say too many because one or two did hit it off. Then again, my situation is different because in both cases they were besties with Sarah from different times in her life and their circle each time was limited to just the two of them adding more weight to the possibility that they do not see eye to eye.

Sarah then uproots her life to move back and start fresh. She is given a golden opportunity and (if the reader agrees to take a leap of faith and indulge oneself) hears a reading that was done for her future. This sets her down on a path which pulls her from all sides. She is exceptionally well planned on an average and puts the same effort into decoding her life based on the predictions. It was a fun story with lovable characters, and I was cheering for all of them, all the time. I did not feel like any of their emotions was forced upon me, and this dialogue felt very real when analysing a day out:" was it all contrived? And was that a bad thing?". This gives insight into the type of love story it is to be. The answer to that question helps Sarah find her way.

P.S I have to say I like the name of the book as it was previously published, it seems to feel more unique than the current title.
P.P.S For a large part of the book I was reminded heavily of Only You the movie with Damon Bradley instead of Stephen but the author's note at the end as well as the way the male leads behaved did set it apart later.
