An attention keeping book with lots of ups and downs. I enjoyed this book, and the HEA at the end. *I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

What a charming read! Delightful beach reading. I really enjoyed this 3rd book in the series enough to purchase the first two.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Liked the whole series of these books with the intertwined stories. Definitely should be read in the order they are written....

This is the 3rd book in the series & it’s an amazing read. I love the characters & storyline these books leave you wanting more. I can’t wait to read the next one which I hope is about Clare.

I loved this book which is part of a series of books. The author is a very insightful lady, and gives hope to her characters in a small community.
Thanks to Netgalley for an Arc.

When I met Elise in the first book of the series I thought she had the perfect marriage. Apparently not! For more than 16 years, her husband and best friend Gary has been keeping a very big secret from her.

The plot might be a bit unusual, but I do think it could be a possible scenario. Only the two mothers - Elise's as well as Gary's - seemed more like caricatures instead of realistic characters.
In the second half of the book, Elise unfortunately got on my nerves a bit. With her being afraid hurting the feelings of her best friend or sister or anybody else. But mostly with her indecisiveness and interpreting everything the wrong way.

It was still a nice read and I liked that the title was in this case very fitting to the plot.

Fantastic book by a fantastic author.

I loved this, it was such a lovely read, lovely and heartwarming, the kind of book to cuddle into and know you will leave happier than when you went in. It’s emotional, full of twists and turns, but it is gripping and addictive. A great read.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

Loved this book. It was so good to read. It was very well written. Easy to read. Nice feel good. Sounded like an idyllic location. I’d really like to read the rest of the books now in the series. Once you start this book you can’t put it down it’s simply that good

Another fab book. Elise’s story, after a realisation about her marriage to Gary, she finds herself questioning their whole life together. She starts feeling unwell but think it’s the gastric flue. Alone, and having to start her life over again, she moves in with Kay. Knowing her sisters pregnant and the two weddings of Jess and best friend Sarah she throws herself into being happy for them and trying hard to hide her feelings. After some ups and downs and a brief relationship with Daniel she finds herself, in the situation that she’s wanted her whole married life. Pregnant. It’s a shock and she decides to keep this as a secret to herself. But secrets have a way of coming out and soon a few of her friends realise the truth. What follows is Elise having to tell the ones that don’t know, including her best friend Sarah. A few more twists follow. Recommend it.

As I already said in the review of the previous instalment this is a well written and entertaining story, the type of heartwarming and fun to read story I need now.
I read it as fast as I could and loved what I read.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Im new to books by Jessica Redland so i did.nt read this series first time round. Can be standalone but i think you need to read them all to get the character backgrounds.

This is the third book I have read in this series and I am loving it more as I go through them. These have been beautifully written and are doing Jessica Redland proud of her work. I hope she will be able to keep going with these for a long time yet. We meet the same group of friends in this novel as the last one but in different situations but this could be a stand a lone or enjoyed as on series. Another 5 star book Jessica, well done and keep up the great work that you produce for us to enjoy..

Another Jessica Redland, and another story filled with emotions. This had quite a few challenges for the main character Elise who really had to jump through the hoops for her HEA.

Elise had it all, family and friends. Then came reality. She discovered the truth about her husband, then had to deal with her broken dreams, a short lived affair, and a crush, and long stand-standing friendships. A secret was also on the way.

Ooh this book gripped me as much as a thriller would. I was in awe of Jessica's writing as she not only filled the book with emotions, she made her character grow a spine down the pages. Every chapter had Elise dealing with a new event in her life.

New friendships with Clare and Stevie developed, and I loved how the other characters too returned to be a support to Elise. For me the book worked as a standalone as the author provided enough backstory to anchor the characters.

Every book of this author is a treat to read. They not only soothe my soul, but they are fun and entertaining. This story too pulled at my heartstrings, and I was completely immersed in Elise's life. Strength and friendship was the backdrop of the book, and that made this a wonderful read.

I liked this book marginally better than the previous one. Although it's a series it could be read as a standalone as there's enough background information given.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. Not sure what to right about this book as read some and skipped some but will come back to it when I have read the first 2 books in the series.

This is book 3 of the series set in Whitsborough Bay and tells Elise’s story as well as keeping the reader up to date with Sarah’s story.
These books are very well written, with strong characters and fantastic locations. They are full of twists and turns to keep the reader engaged.
I would thoroughly recommend this book, fantastic as a stand-alone book but even better if you have read the previous books
Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Jessica for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

I have to say, just like the first case, I actually found the title Getting over Gary preferable to this one while liking this cover better. This is a reprint of a previously published book in a new format.

In the first instalment of the series, we focused on Sarah as the nucleus around whom the bickering best friends from past and present gravitated around. Now, we move on to the next in line, Elise. She is a girl who married at an astonishingly young age, and when I first met her in the previous book, I was hoping for one of those stories where such a long-enduring relationship continues to... endure. It was not to be, and Elise is thrown into the deep end with the newness of it all. She has never spent any time as a single adult, and she is learning quickly. Elise then finds a new path to bond with the third woman of the trio and this, unfortunately, makes things awkward with Sarah. There are weddings to plan while Elise's life comes crashing around her, and she tries to hold her own.

The character is endearing and has unique interests that she comes to terms with. Although the formula is not new, and nothing much here will surprise the reader, it is still a delightful book with likeable characters and a growth arc that we cannot but cheer.
I received an ARC of the book thanks to the publishers and NetGalley but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience and nothing else.
