I could not connect with the character and felt the story to be somewhat meh. Lily was kinda sweet, but we did not get much on her. Turner was so and so, i did not care much for him.

2.5 stars.

This was the first Sara Ohlin book I have read, so I wasn't sure what to expect going in. This is the second book in a series surrounding a small town, so I was worried that I would be missing something going into it, but that was not that case.

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the semi slow burn, second chance romance that I got. While there were some flaws, like the fact that so much of the drama and hard feelings could have been avoided if they just had a conversation and some of the storylines could have been fleshed out more, I did grow to care about the characters quickly. I will for sure be diving back into this universe to see what is in store for the other residents.

I really enjoyed this book and I love the prodigal son aspect that is thrown into it. Estranged lovers finding each other again after years apart is always a great trope.

This is a great summer read! I think we can all relate to Lily’s initial resentment, and fear of being hurt. The setting is gorgeous, and the characters well written. It’s a wonderfully fun contemporary read! The Brockman brothers are intriguing-each dealing with their family issues in their own ways. I look forward to catching up with the third brother in the next book!

I haven't been able to read Seducing the Dragonfly.
The beginning is so slow, that I just couldn't become invested in it.

This was a decent read. It was light and quick to read. The characters were likable and the overall plot was good. I recommend.

This was a book that didn’t live up to it’s potential. The premise—Turner returns to his small hometown some time after the death of his despicable father to deal with his inheritance, and exorcise some demons. Only we never really get to see how despicable the father was, or much detail of the demons. Much was implied, a couple of small incidents mentioned, but nothing that really made me, as a reader feel or understand the strong fear, and dislike implied by the passing comments. There’s also Lily, a woman who had a teenage crush on Turner that never went away, even when he left and broke her heart. Again, we’re 60% through the story before the incident that caused her to fall for him is described. No real conflict was built in this plot, no suspense, only a small mystery regarding Turner’s inheritance, which was far too resolved. Lots of sex scenes, which although not graphic, didn’t really add anything but sex to the plot. I forced myself to finish it. I liked the brothers, and the friendships and love described between the characters. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. This is my freely given, honest review.

Melt-your-Kindle hot! I really enjoyed the banter between Graciella and Turner.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Seducing the Dragonfly was a good but not great read. I would like to read something else by this author before I decide for sure if her work is for me or not.

it's a Monday morning meeting. I didn't care for the cussing. Turner had developed a sense of power in his job.Hes from a small town of Graciella,Oregon. His father is dead from a heart attack.Turner is headed back home. Lily owns her own company and has a history with Turner and his family Her full name is Liliana which I think is pretty. I liked that she owned a construction company and held her own.

A good second chance romance story. When Turner returns to his hometown in Oregon, he meets up with Lily, who he had broken her heart back in high school. Found this one hard to put down, and would like to read the other book in the series now. Fun to read about brothers finding love. Would recommend.

I really tried to like it more. This was the first book I have read from this author. I will probably change my review after I read the first book which is probably why I didn't get pulled in. It was a nice story but it missed hitting any emotion.
This was an arc from netgalley.

This was a well written second chance romance. I loved the characters and the plot was good. I am interested in reading more of this author’s work.
Many thanks to Totally Bound Publishing and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This second chance romance story was well written and the characters were so well defined that I was totally enthralled as each and every page was turned until the very end!

This was my first time reading anything by this author and while the storyline was interesting I had a hard time with Lily, the female MC. My impression of her was that she showed the signs of a classic insecurity complex as a child/teenager and even though she had been able to establish herself in the competitive business world she never outgrew that insecurity and let it color and influence her interactions with others. Especially Turner. It was the MC of Turner that really saved the book for me. He was an all-around basic good guy that really deserved someone a whole lot better than Lily. I do not give up on an author after reading just one book so I will read another of her books before throwing in the towel.

My day of discoveries just kept going along with coming across this little gem by a really new to me author. Being a sucker for second chances this one screamed into my ear to open open open. The story that will be given to us centers around Turner and Lily whom then used to be but can they be now again? Unexpected to say the least is what happens but it is to our advantage. The chemistry between the two is a delight in itself to get to witness unfold and grow. Seeing some of life's treasures come to bloom is also what you get with this one too.

Seducing The Dragonfly, by Sara Ohlin, is available at bookstores on 3-10-2020. Dragonfly is book 2 in Ms Ohlin's Graciella series. This is my first experience with Ms Ohlin's work so I missed out on book 1, Handling The Rancher. Although part of a series I thought Dragonfly worked well as a stand-alone story. I got just enough backstory on the secondary characters to figure out what had gone on before. Although the writing is fine I thought the story wasn't as good as it could have been. I disliked the heroine, Lily, she's grown but acts like a little girl. Big chip on her shoulder, even after proving her worth in the business world. I can't say I cared much more for the hero, Turner. I tried to find sympathy for him, to love him as a character but there's just something missing between us. The plot is not bad, pretty standard cowboy romance stuff. It's ok and not a bad read, I just didn't love it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book. The characters had instant connection and had to learn to trust each other and get over some past hurts.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I will certainly be checking out more of her works because this is a well written second chance romance that drew me in from the first chapter.
This is a stiry set in the small Oregon town of Graciella, Turner Brockman left his hometown twelve years ago and his whole purpose of returning is to make amends before he disappears once again but what isn’t in his plans is to fall for a girl from his past..... Lily Moreno is now a beautiful woman who is successful in her own right and truth be told she never expected to come face to face with the man who broke her heart all those years ago.
Has fate given Turner and Lily a second chance at love and happiness or is the past to much of her hurdle to climb.....guess you need to read the book to find that out.
I fell in love with the town, I loved the characters in this sweet yet steamy read and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley

This was my first experience reading this author's work. I didn't have the opportunity to read the first book in this series, Handling the Rancher, but I think you could read this as a standalone nevertheless because I was able to follow along. That being said, this second book was Turner and Lily's story and although it was an interesting and easy read, I found it hard to like Lily's character. She seemed immature at times and it turned out that she actually was immature based on the whole reason she avoided Turner through the whole book. This was an okay read that would have been better had Lily's character been more likeable. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
