Fern Michaels is one of those authors where you know you are getting a great read each time you pick up their book. She has a gift for capturing the emotional journey of her characters, along with providing suspense. Anna Campbell's attempt to start over after being widowed was captivating. There are so many books written with plots featuring women that are starting over, but somehow Fern Michaels makes it seem like a new one.

I've read lots of books by Fern Michaels and this one doesn't seem like her writing style. It was a good page turner, as far as thrillers go. The story seemed very disjointed. A stalker was mentioned in the beginning and brought back at the end- not sure what the reason for that was. The main character seems like she wouldn't make it on her own without her best friend, and her housekeeper (and the housekeepers husband). She was pretty spineless and had to ask everyone for advice before doing anything it seems. The ending also seemed a bit rushed to me. (All the loose ends tied up and Bam, the book ends).

I wish to thank Net Galley and the Kensington Publishing Corp. allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book. I have voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am a long-time fan of Fern Michaels and was delighted when I got the opportunity to review this book. She does not disappoint as she leads us through this great romance of a widowed, very successful woman who gets talked into taking a singles cruise. She is very reluctant but meets the man of her dreams. Or does she? This book has lots of twists and turns and keeps you guessing in a delightful way. I just could not put it down regardless of all the other things I should be doing. Don’t you just love a book like that? If you do then this one will be a winner for you as well.

If you are social distancing right now and looking for a great read choose this one. All the characters are well developed including the family cat, Mr. Whiskers.

A great book Fearless by Fern Michaels by an author that has always been a favorite of mine. You can't go wrong with reading any of her books. This book has family connection, and some mystery in it.

I'm going to start this review by making it clear that I am a fan of Fern Michaels. I have enjoyed her books for years and have favorites I read over again. So I was very excited to read Fearless. But it didn't take long to wonder if I was reading the same Fern Michaels. Fearless has the premise of a good story with characters that are likable, typical Michaels. But the story quickly became disjointed. I wondered if maybe I was reading a sequel. The story kept hinting at a stalker but there wasn't enough backstory to understand what part this person played in the story. Anna Campbell, our main character, is also very frustrating. She is a little too trusting and soft-hearted. What would be obvious to anyone else just goes right over her head. The story follows Anna, her daughter Christina and the friends that have become family. Anna, a YouTube star, becomes involved with Ryan, a man she met on a singles cruise. But Ryan isn't really what he seems and neither is his family. Ryan turns Anna's world upside down and somehow she must protect her daughter as well as her career. I am giving the story 3 stars because while Fearless is a good story, it really is disjointed.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and this book had a whole lot more substance than what I was expecting. Warning bells were going off in my head.
Anna was a You Tuber celebrity and had lost her husband. After a while, her friend told her she needed to get back into dating and she should go on this singles cruise. At first, she said no but eventually said yes. She went and on the cruise, she met Ryan. It wasn't like her but she had dinner with him and invited him back to her cabin. That was my first red flag. She then leaves the cruise ship and heads home. Once home she decides to look Ryan up on Facebook and send him a friend request.
I don't do cruises because I am naive and don't know a lot about them and what to do and after reading this book, I now understand why. The things that happened to her could happen to me if I was to go.
This book was an eye-opener for many reasons. Anna never talked to Ryan about his life, she just liked him and that was good enough. She did have feelings that something wasn't right but she still brought him into her daughter's life. What could go wrong? Well, you're about to find out when you read this book.
I highly recommend this book because I learned a lot from it. I didn't know you could put a date rape drug in a piece of candy. There were a lot of things I didn't know so I am very happy I read this book and will be recommending it to some of my friends because it will show them before they find out the hard way some of the dangers out there and what to be aware of.

For such a simple life that Anna conveys to her You Tube followers, her life is anything but! I was shocked at her naivete letting Ryan into her life given the clues beginning at the inception of the cruise. I enjoyed how well the author portrays all the characters in the book and how they add to the story. Certainly well done.

I know you have heard this before, but if something seems to good to be true, be aware it probably is. Anna's assistant and best friend Mandy, is trying to help her get started in dating again. What better way to meet some nice guys than on a single cruise. With reluctance Anna finally agrees to go. She is such a strong business women who has made a huge success in the business world. I had a little trouble with her naivete' in men in general and her surroundings. Anna felt wrong upon her arrival. Even though she was sick the next day and could not remember how she got back to her room, she never suspected anything. When she meets the professor they are from the same town. This is one of her first alarms and there are many more. But she is drawn to his good looks and wants to believe the best. God gave us instincts for a reason. I was very frustrated with Anna's character. I did not think it was consistent. I received a copy of this book from Kensington Books through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Well, it's been quite a while since I've read a Fern Much Michaels book, but I'm glad I read this. A good story full of intrigue and suspense, perfectly told by a master storyteller. I read this book in one sitting absolutely enthralled with the twists and turns.

Trust me you need to read this book if you love thrillers w/some evil characters but also some lovable ones mixed in!!!!!!!! Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington Books for my honest review

Been awhile since I read anything by Fern Michaels, was glad she wrote on a topic of how women can be con. The story is about Anna’s making something of herself after life threw her some tough curves. Now at a good stage of her life she is talked into taking some well deserved time off and thru her best friend goes on a single cruise. Not all is as it seems, there are many twists and turns after she boards the ship. Some of the story seems a little predictable, some came from left field. All in all a good read, a fast read.

Fearless is an intriguing story that grabs you from the first page. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. A simple meeting on a cruise ship leads to an intriguing relationship. That leads to questionable outcome.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced review of Fearless. I have been an avid fan of Fern Michaels for quite some time. Anna has lost her mother, father and her husband Wade. She has brought up her 13 y.o. daughter, Christina, as a single mom. She has a great career and her best friend, Mandy convinces her to go on a singles cruise. On her cruise she meets a handsome man with " striking sapphire eyes" named Ryan Robertson, who is also a single parent and invites him to her cabin for an expresso that very same night. She wakes up the following morning feeling sick, her head is throbbing and makes the decision to leave the cruise ship and fly back home. We learn that Anna has a history of panic attacks and takes medication for it but has kept it a secret from her family and friends. At home, she decides to give Ryan a call and they start dating. She is introduced to his two children, Renee who is the same age as her daughter Christina, and Patrick who is older. There is tension during dinner; Anna doesn't approve how Ryan acts towards his children but chalks it off to meeting each other for the first time. She invites Ryan and his children to her home for a barbecue Labor Day weekend. An incident occurs with Ryan that has her realizing that Ryan not only has a temper but that he is also quick to judge - giving her doubts about wanting to continue a relationship with him. Later that day, Anna's daughter is hurt - she is found at the bottom of the stairs with Renee looking down from the top. A missing necklace and the fact that the fall does not appear to be an accident leads to an investigation. I truly enjoyed reading this book although I didn't like the ending/epilogue. It seemed too abrupt.

Blending families can be painful but here- wow! Anna's back on her feet after the tragic death of her husband and now, after much persuasion, she leaves her daughter Christina and takes a singles cruise. She meets, Ryan, a divorced professor who has two kids- Rene and Patrick. Something odd happens the night they meet but she brushes it off. Back on land, the couple introduces their kids and then- more bad weird things happen. Anna is too trusting (why is Ryan so eager to get into a relationship with her) and some of the secondary characters are more engaging than the main ones. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This wasn't my favorite of Michaels' novels but it's a good read.

Anna Campbell was happy with her life with baby, Christina and husband Wade. Regardless, she would wrestle with the fears of her loved ones passing. First her father, then suddenly her mother, who would be next? She had to put the fear aside but one beautiful day, she received the call that destroyed her. Wade had been killed in an accident coming home. From that point on she saw a therapist and battled depression with medication. Via the help she received, she was able to develop a career in a company that she founded, The Simple Life. Anna vloged full time filming cooking, beauty, lifestyle and other ideas for the YouTube Channel. She loved doing it, and her viewers and readers loved her as well. She became so successful she was able to build a home complete with her own studio. Her producer and best friend, Mandy set the schedule and helped to develop ideas for the show.
Christina was now 13 heading on 14 and ready to start her freshman year of high school in the fall. Mandy was trying to talk Anna into setting sail on a singles cruise that summer while she had plans to take Christina on a Florida vacation of Disney delights. Anna wasn’t certain she was ready to take on such a holiday. The cost wasn’t the problem, despite her years alone, she still loved Wade and felt she really didn’t need a new man in her life. She had dated not long before and things just did not end well. Despite her bad vibes, Anna booked the luxury cruise thinking she could spend the time relaxing. She could just spend time alone resting before the fall rush of filming 24/7.
The book continues with tales of the two different journeys that the two women and Christina sailed off to. Anna just felt wrong upon her arrival. She was uneasy and nervous about being there. While Mandy and Christina had a great time start to finish. Each phone call Christina begged her mother to schedule the same for the following summer so the two of them could have a fun time together. The next day on the cruise Anna had dinner with another passenger who knew of her show. He suggested dining together. Ryan Robertson introduced himself. He was a professor and lived in Lubbock, Texas. To Anna it seemed odd that he should be from the same town but she tried to relax and enjoy the dinner. From that point the reader was introduced to Michael’s mystery. The feeling you get while reading is one where we feel the same alarms that Anna feels. I was impressed with Ms. Michael’s style of writing. She gave us main characters we felt close to, then developed a plot where we just had to keep reading to find out the next steps.
Fearless is Fern Michaels next book due to be released on March 31, 2020 by Kensington Publishing Corp. I was lucky enough to be chosen to read the ARC of her novel. It was a fabulous book. I appreciate their allowing me to read and review it. I encourage fans of Fern Michaels to pick this one up. It is terrific and I am sure they will be as taken by it as I. Enjoy!!

I received this title from Netgalley in exchange for a review. . I have been a fan of Fern Michaels for quite some time. I especially love her Sisterhood series. This book, Fearless, is a good, light read. It concluded well, but there are definitely some gaps. I would have liked to know more about Ryan and how he could have been linked to the roofie incidents at Tech. I also think, as predictable as it would have been, that the relationship between Anna and Daniel could have developed a bit more. Could there be a sequel in the works?

Bravery is not remaining #Fearless in challenging circumstances but confronting them. Anna is paralyzed with panic attacks when faced with stressful situations. Losing her parents at an early age and then her husband due to a tragic accident, Anna's world revolves around keeping her daughter, Christina safe.

When her assistant and best friend signs her up for a single's cruise, it forces Anna out of her comfort zone. Meeting Ryan, her 'Simple Life' becomes a complicated blend of romantic overtures and puzzling contradictions. Is Ryan the perfect guy or are her fears, founded?

Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher for the early read in exchange for an honest review. While I enjoyed the suspenseful read, I had difficult relating to Anna. I felt it was obvious to everyone but the protagonist what was happening and she let her fears overtake her. I was disappointed that this strong business woman was swept away by a handsome face instead of trusting her instincts.
