I love when authors get together to publish a book! I love Rebecca Zanetti, and I will always read whatever she writes! I don't even read the blurb before I get it. I always know it will be an amazing read. I have only read a few books by Kat Martin and Alexandra Ivy, and I was excited to give them a try again. Three authors. 3 books. 3 strong women. These are novellas, and the stories flowed well together. I won't give away any details about the plots, but I will say that I couldn't put it down! There was so much action, and each story was a page turner. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. |

Pivot by Kat Martin, Alexandra Ivy and Rebecca Zanetti Subgenre: romantic suspense Release date: 31 Mar 2020 Publisher: Zebra Books Format: ebook and print Length: 303 pages RRP: $8.48 (ebook); $16.34 (print) This trio of stories are interconnected. That means there is no waiting for another character’s story! The other thread for these stories is ones of ex flames getting back together. One is in law enforcement, the male, and the female has had a significant impact on these males’ early lives. These are romantic suspense and are really good for a quick read if you need one. These stories were action packed and page turners. I loved how these stories were interconnected and some of the storyline and characters appeared in each story. What more can you ask for! Shaken by Rebecca Zanetti Michelle Peach is Meri’s friend and needs help from a friend. She has been attacked by Joey, Meri’s ex, and needs to find her laptop which he stole, thinking she has money. Evan Boldon is the man she dated and can’t forget but then he went into the marines and has returned to be a small-town sheriff in the hope Michelle will want to be with him. He is willing to go the great lengths to make sure she is safe, and to find out if she can forgive him and be with him now and forever. reviewed by Heather A review copy of this book was provided by the publisher. |

The Rebecca Zanetti story was alright. I enjoyed the suspense part of it, but I didn’t care for Evan I think his name was? I literally just finished the story not even 2 minutes ago and can’t tell you what his name is, that tells you something. I didn’t dislike his character, just not memorable. Michelle was ok, but again not memorable, I’m surprised I remember her name. I didn’t care about their romance in the least, but that is probably due to me very much disliking second chance and that is exactly what this story was. It was more tolerable due to it being a short story, and combined with with suspense storyline so there wasn’t time to drag out the HEA. |
So one thing I really loved about this was the fact that all three are loosely connected by characters essentially merging all three of their series into one book-verse. Individually I had already read Kat Martin's story before and I still loved it. Zanetti's connection to her Deep-Ops series was wonderfully done it is one of my favorites of her recently. You can't go wrong with Alexandra Ivy. All the characters all the story lines so wonderfully done. Thank you to NetGalley for this copy. |
I'm usually not a fan of anthologies, but I though Pivot looked like a good set of stories to try. Thankfully, I found myself easily immersed in these stories, the women and the romance they found along the way. The anthology consists of three interconnected novellas packed-full of intrigue and centers around three foster care sisters and the men they turn to in their hour of need. A very enjoyable read, indeed. |

I love Rebecca Zanetti, she never disappoints. Great story line,, amazing chemistry between characters!!! AWESOME!!!!! |
I read this book because of Shaken, but I was also drawn into the worlds of other authors. That's what I love about anothogly books. You buy it for an Auhtor you love and then you are introduced to future authors you will love. |
I’ve learned to be picky about collaborations over the years but I love Rebecca Zanetti books so I thought I’d take a chance. This is three separate short and sweet stories that are connected through the heroines, all who spent time in foster homes. I liked both Against the Heart by Kat Martin and Shaken by Rebecca Zanetti, but I have to admit I struggled with Echoes of the Past by Alexandra Ivy. Against the Heart by Kat Martin was a cute little damsel in distress story. Most of the focus was on the romance, with not a lot of character development. I liked Meri, the heroine, but I didn’t love her. Mainly my issues had to do with her aversion to police and her determination to go it on her own. The offhand explanation of her being in foster care as the reason of her being wary of cops just didn’t fly with me. I did think Ian was a sweetie and his dad, too. Overall, this was short, sweet, but maybe just a bit too shallow for me. 3.5 Stars My favorite of the three, Shaken by Rebecca Zanetti, was a fluffy little bubble gum flavored second chance romance that had a surprising amount of action for such a short book. It’s good this was a second chance romance because even knowing that, I blinked at how quick things progressed both in the sheets and out. Oh, and it had a couple of surprising cameos that gave me a little giggle. It was fast-paced to the point you could miss something if you blinked. The length meant there wasn’t a lot of depth, but it was a fun read nonetheless. And the town sounded interesting so now I want the story of how Evan ended up there. Rating: 4 Stars. Echoes of the Past by Alexandra Ivy was another sweet second chance romance but I didn’t like it nearly as much as the first two. My issue was that the first big clue was completely ignored by the hero which made him look like a keystone cop. I just couldn’t get past that. Rating: 2.5 Stars. Overall, I’m glad I took the chance on Pivot. Even though the last story didn’t work for me, I enjoyed the first two, especially Shaken. So I’d say if you’re in the mood for short, and sweet along with some action, this would be worth getting. Rating: 3.5 Stars Overall. |
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Just loved this book and recommend it to everyone. |
*I received an arc from Netgalley & the publisher for an honest review*. I love Kat Martin & read her books when they come out & didn’t realize this book was three short stories by her, Rebecca Zanetti & Alexandra Ivy. I really enjoyed all three stories having only read Kat’s books. I loved the intertwining stories, characters. Especially love the female characters because they were all strong & independent. Just love the Brodie family too in all of Kat’s books. It was a wonderful book that I highly recommend!! Thanks Netgalley for the arc!! |
This is a really fast read of three short stories, and how can they not be captivating, exhilarating and thrilling considering they have been written by Kat Martin, Rebecca Zanetti and Alexandra Ivy. Worth a read!!! |
This is three intertwined short stories. They can be read as standalone stories but you will become intrigued and want to complete the set. Each couple of the stories faces hardship, death and must decide if they want to face the world alone or together, A one sitting read with three glimpses at the authors next offering. |
I was excited by Pivot because while I'm a fan of Kat Martin, I'd only heard of Alexendra Ivy and Rebecca Zanetti. I'm pleased to say that I'm now a fan of them as well! The novellas are well developed and I didn't feel like I was missing out on the experience of a full novel. Character and plot driven, these stories are action and romance packed which will satisfy a suspense and romance fan from beginning to end! Great quick reads! I can't wait to check out stuff from Ivy and Zanetti! |
Great Novella's around a similar theme 's but with each author's individual series highlighted. Shaken: Loved the second chance romance with a bit of suspense. Surprised me at the outcome. Great cross over with the Deep Ops series (We see Wolfe and Kat). Also a great squeal worthy seen with some of the guys from the author's Dark Protector series. Short but fufilling read. Can be enjoyed as a stand alone. Echoes of the Past: Also a quick read but packed full of suspense. The main characters tie in nicely with Ivy's suspense series. Against the Heart This one is a new to me read by this author. I am not familiar with her suspense series. Didn't matter though. Great characters and nice suspense elements that kept me guessing. |

This book was a great and enjoyable read! Meri, Melanie, and Michelle all grew up in foster care. Now, grown-up and living their own lives, they all have different challenges. In each of these novellas, one woman is in danger and has to rely on the one she loves to help her out of the situation. Each of these novellas was great! I loved how each of them connected with characters. Each of the authors' styles went well together. The novellas felt like they were all part of one story and I enjoyed that. I felt like the reader gets to know all of the characters in a short amount of time. Sometimes, in novellas, I feel like the whole thing is rushed, but in these, I felt like I got the whole story. Each of these novellas could have stood alone, but they were great as a set. I'm looking forward to reading more from each of these authors! *eARC provided in exchange for an honest review* |
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book for an honest review. This book was three stories by three different authors that were all tied together. The three women all grew up in foster care and now as adults have found themselves in danger. These authors did a great job of bringing the suspense along with romance. Great read! I love anthologies! Not only do they give me a complete story that I can read in a short period of time....usually while waiting for one thing or another...they give me the chance to read new authors. It's sometimes hard to commit to an unknown author based on the sparse information available. I have discovered many of my favorite authors by first reading their contribution to an anthology. These three stories are all suspense with a little romance thrown in to keep everything interesting. Each story revolves around a woman who must make quick decisions and learn to trust and accept help along the way. The stories are short but good. They are fast reads, more because they capture your attention and hold it than the length. I'm recommending PIVOT to all my reading circle. |
Loved all three of these highly entertaining, sexy, fun and short yet emotionally thrilling adventures. Each one is filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Excellent reading! |

Loved reading the enthralling and engaging romantic suspense stories by the sensational authors, Kat Martin, Alexandra Ivy, and Rebecca Zanetti. The first story is about a woman, Meri, on the run with her young daughter from her ex-boyfriend. Meri ends up working on a farm for a handsome young man, Ian, and his father. The second story is about Melanie stopping the kidnapping of a young boy and getting involved with someone from her past, Detective Gray Hawkins. In the third story, Michelle, Meri's friend, is threatened by Meri's ex-boyfriend. Michelle calls her brother for help, and her brother sends Evan Brodie to help Michelle. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of action, suspense, and romance, and three love stories in one book. I reviewed a copy of the book through NetGalley. |
Pivot by Kat Martin, Alexandra Ivy and Rebecca Zanetti is another installment in the romantic suspense Deep Ops series. This book is best read between books two and three however the series changes main characters between the books so they all could be read and understood as a standalone. Pivot happens to have three somewhat separate stories involved in the book that are all novella length. The first story has Meri on the run when she’s about out of money she finds herself at Ian’s farm looking for work. Story #2 then Melanie trying to stop a kidnapping and getting involved with a handsome detective. Then in the last story we circle back to Meri’s friend, Michelle, who had been threatened trying to protect Meri’s whereabouts. Michelle then has her ex show up to help protect her from the men threatening her. If you enjoy a really fast paced romantic suspense then Pivot would be right up your alley giving three stories in one. Everything flowed rather well when put together and reading straight through too which made jumping from one story into the next rather seamless keeping the pages turning. Another great addition to this series overall! I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. |
