I absolutely adore Rebecca Zanetti as an author so everytime she has a new book coming out, I immediately mark my calendar. This was no exception. She delivers every time. Highly recommend.

Three great stories from three great authors. Each story captivates you and keeps you until the end. It is fun when authors write together like this and give you and amazing story line.

t’s always much more difficult to review an anthology of stories written multiple authors because you either end up with an overly long-winded review or not enough to actually explain the stories themselves. This anthology was very different and makes reviewing a little easier though in that the stories were actually connected and overlapped a little bit in the timelines and story conflicts, making it more fun and interesting. Of course even better was that two of the three were favorite authors for me so I loved every moment of reading the stories.

Book 1(Against the Heart) was about single mother Meri and her young daughter Lily, who are on the run from Lily’s father, a serious asshat that is determined to put their lives in danger to try to get money that he thinks Meri has. Along her journey to safety Meri seeks shelter with Ian, who is staying at the family homestead to try to get it back in shape since his father has let things go for a while now. Meri and Ian’s connection is instant and seriously sweet. Ian is a true protector at heart, a former cop and current investigator, making it easy for him to spot that Meri and Lily are in trouble and making him determined to help. Meri has had a rough life but she is determined to do right by Lily and resists the pull she feels for Ian as much as possible but soon the love is undeniable. I loved these two together and they were so perfectly matched that there was no way they couldn’t have their HEA in the end. Book 2 (Echoes of the Past) was about Meri’s friend Melanie, whom she was trying to reach when she ran across Ian, who finds herself in need of assistance from her ex, Gray, who happens to be a friend of Ian’s. Melanie works in a youth center and one of her kids is in danger she immediately intervenes in order to save him from thugs trying to abduct him, placing herself square in the middle of Gray, an undercover police officer’s investigation into dirty cops. Together they have to go into hiding and try to solve the save, but being cooped up with the man that broke her heart years ago is not on Melanie’s agenda to be sure. Melanie and Gray had a lot of issues to work through in order to find their way back together and to love, but seeing them together was a fun and passionate experience. They were both opinionated and strong characters and obviously knew that being around the other was going to challenge a lot of their preconceived notions about life and themselves. Melanie was a sassy and sweet woman that made her opinions known, but she was also smart enough to know that she needed Gray to keep her safe, despite knowing he was dangerous to her heart. Gray has worked a long time to get his mind and soul ready to go back for the one person that he never meant to lose and now that she is with him there is no way he will let her get away. Mel and Gray were beyond ideally matched and seeing them coming back together was a magical second chance love that reminds me why I love this author. Book 3 (Shaken) revolves around Michelle and her own second chance with and ex that broke her when he left her for a different life, but having Evan back in her life is extremely painful for her. Evan went off to war years ago and refused to ask Michelle to wait for him, knowing that if by chance he did come back, he wouldn’t be the same man, but now that he life is in danger there is no way he can leave her behind. He has settled into his new life as a small town sheriff and, despite Michelle’s crack to the contrary, has been content in his calm life, but he could never be happy without her in his life. Now that he has a chance to show her how much he has changed and perhaps bring her into his life too, there is nothing he won’t do to give them that chance. I loved Michelle (not just because she has the best name EVER either *giggle*) because she is just a smartass and full of bravado even when the world is crumbling around her. She has had a difficult path in life and only her crappy mother remains except for her foster mother and siblings, but she is determined to make it on her own despite those beginnings. She fights so hard to not let herself fall back into love with Evan, but there was just no way she could resist once she saw how much he has changed and that she needs him to completely be happy as always. Evan is determined to protect Michelle and to show her that he has changed so that he can have a chance to give them the future they both deserve. I loved his sexy and sweet alpha tendencies but the way he cared for Michelle and showed her his love and humor again and again made him my favorite of the three guys for sure. The fire and emotion that these two shared from the beginning shows us how strong their love was always meant to be and I loved seeing them happy in the end.

All three of these stories were beautifully interwoven and overlapped together, but each had the distinct and wonderful style of the author to keep things interesting. It was also fun that each of the stories were actually novellas to larger linked Series for those authors, so they make a good intro to readers that aren’t familiar with those series and recommend them highly. I loved everything about this book and would live to see move of this type of anthology in the future as very few are truly interconnected in such a tight and intriguing way. Way to go each of you ladies, keep the magic coming!

I really enjoyed this interconnected anthology by three great authors. Each story stood on it’s own, even though the characters were connected to each in some way. I highly recommend to anyone that likes romantic suspense.

When you see a book that contains stories from three of your favorite writers, you don’t question your luck – you read it. ASAP!

An anthology with stories combined, characters deep and complex, action and suspense to fill up where the emotional drama lets out a bit – I’m not biased, it had it all!

Three women, in danger, find safety and love at the sides of men who will change their lives forever. Bad things happen, evil people are after them. Each couple will have to run and fight to survive, but in the end, everything will go well – as long as they stay together.

Honestly, the first story was a tough one to like on its own, but the way it moved on to the other two, it got better. So many subplots, and plot twists, and a few characters that I already knew from other works of the authors – case in point, the Brodies!!! Love me some Brodies!

This is a successful and beautiful collaboration of three very amazing authors, and a must-read!

P.S.: I really want to see more of Wolfe – hope there’s a book for him out there!

I love when authors get together to publish a book! I love Rebecca Zanetti, and I will always read whatever she writes! I don't even read the blurb before I get it. I always know it will be an amazing read. I have only read a few books by Kat Martin and Alexandra Ivy, and I was excited to give them a try again.
Three authors. 3 books. 3 strong women.
These are novellas, and the stories flowed well together. I won't give away any details about the plots, but I will say that I couldn't put it down! There was so much action, and each story was a page turner.

This trio of stories are interconnected. That means there is no waiting for another character’s story! The other thread for these stories is ones of ex flames getting back together. One is in law enforcement, the male, and the female has had a significant impact on these males’ early lives.

These are romantic suspense and are really good for a quick read if you need one. These stories were action packed and page turners. I loved how these stories were interconnected and some of the storyline and characters appeared in each story. What more can you ask for!

The Rebecca Zanetti story was alright. I enjoyed the suspense part of it, but I didn’t care for Evan I think his name was? I literally just finished the story not even 2 minutes ago and can’t tell you what his name is, that tells you something. I didn’t dislike his character, just not memorable. Michelle was ok, but again not memorable, I’m surprised I remember her name. I didn’t care about their romance in the least, but that is probably due to me very much disliking second chance and that is exactly what this story was. It was more tolerable due to it being a short story, and combined with with suspense storyline so there wasn’t time to drag out the HEA.

So one thing I really loved about this was the fact that all three are loosely connected by characters essentially merging all three of their series into one book-verse. Individually I had already read Kat Martin's story before and I still loved it. Zanetti's connection to her Deep-Ops series was wonderfully done it is one of my favorites of her recently. You can't go wrong with Alexandra Ivy. All the characters all the story lines so wonderfully done. Thank you to NetGalley for this copy.

I'm usually not a fan of anthologies, but I though Pivot looked like a good set of stories to try. Thankfully, I found myself easily immersed in these stories, the women and the romance they found along the way. The anthology consists of three interconnected novellas packed-full of intrigue and centers around three foster care sisters and the men they turn to in their hour of need.

A very enjoyable read, indeed.

I’ve learned to be picky about collaborations over the years but I love Rebecca Zanetti books so I thought I’d take a chance. This is three separate short and sweet stories that are connected through the heroines, all who spent time in foster homes. I liked both Against the Heart by Kat Martin and Shaken by Rebecca Zanetti, but I have to admit I struggled with Echoes of the Past by Alexandra Ivy.

Against the Heart by Kat Martin was a cute little damsel in distress story. Most of the focus was on the romance, with not a lot of character development. I liked Meri, the heroine, but I didn’t love her. Mainly my issues had to do with her aversion to police and her determination to go it on her own. The offhand explanation of her being in foster care as the reason of her being wary of cops just didn’t fly with me. I did think Ian was a sweetie and his dad, too. Overall, this was short, sweet, but maybe just a bit too shallow for me. 3.5 Stars

My favorite of the three, Shaken by Rebecca Zanetti, was a fluffy little bubble gum flavored second chance romance that had a surprising amount of action for such a short book. It’s good this was a second chance romance because even knowing that, I blinked at how quick things progressed both in the sheets and out. Oh, and it had a couple of surprising cameos that gave me a little giggle. It was fast-paced to the point you could miss something if you blinked. The length meant there wasn’t a lot of depth, but it was a fun read nonetheless. And the town sounded interesting so now I want the story of how Evan ended up there. Rating: 4 Stars.

Echoes of the Past by Alexandra Ivy was another sweet second chance romance but I didn’t like it nearly as much as the first two. My issue was that the first big clue was completely ignored by the hero which made him look like a keystone cop. I just couldn’t get past that. Rating: 2.5 Stars.

Overall, I’m glad I took the chance on Pivot. Even though the last story didn’t work for me, I enjoyed the first two, especially Shaken. So I’d say if you’re in the mood for short, and sweet along with some action, this would be worth getting.

Rating: 3.5 Stars Overall.

*I received an arc from Netgalley & the publisher for an honest review*. I love Kat Martin & read her books when they come out & didn’t realize this book was three short stories by her, Rebecca Zanetti & Alexandra Ivy. I really enjoyed all three stories having only read Kat’s books. I loved the intertwining stories, characters. Especially love the female characters because they were all strong & independent. Just love the Brodie family too in all of Kat’s books. It was a wonderful book that I highly recommend!! Thanks Netgalley for the arc!!

This is a really fast read of three short stories, and how can they not be captivating, exhilarating and thrilling considering they have been written by Kat Martin, Rebecca Zanetti and Alexandra Ivy.

Worth a read!!!

This is three intertwined short stories. They can be read as standalone stories but you will become intrigued and want to complete the set. Each couple of the stories faces hardship, death and must decide if they want to face the world alone or together, A one sitting read with three glimpses at the authors next offering.

I was excited by Pivot because while I'm a fan of Kat Martin, I'd only heard of Alexendra Ivy and Rebecca Zanetti. I'm pleased to say that I'm now a fan of them as well! The novellas are well developed and I didn't feel like I was missing out on the experience of a full novel. Character and plot driven, these stories are action and romance packed which will satisfy a suspense and romance fan from beginning to end! Great quick reads! I can't wait to check out stuff from Ivy and Zanetti!

Great Novella's around a similar theme 's but with each author's individual series highlighted.

Shaken:
Loved the second chance romance with a bit of suspense. Surprised me at the outcome. Great cross over with the Deep Ops series (We see Wolfe and Kat). Also a great squeal worthy seen with some of the guys from the author's Dark Protector series. Short but fufilling read. Can be enjoyed as a stand alone.

Echoes of the Past:
Also a quick read but packed full of suspense. The main characters tie in nicely with Ivy's suspense series.

Against the Heart
This one is a new to me read by this author. I am not familiar with her suspense series. Didn't matter though. Great characters and nice suspense elements that kept me guessing.
