I really enjoyed this book. It did not end completely they way I had expected. It is a great murder mystery/who done it.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much starts off with a love story with Connor who is rich due to his grandmother and Tabitha who is poor living with her grandma working at the country club Connor's grandma owns. They fell in love when they were young but Connor's grandmother didn’t want him dating a poor girl. Years later Connor ( who is even richer than ever and now married) shows up at Tabitha's restaurant job and it goes from there. One night Nina (Connors wife) is murdered...
Is she murdered over jealousy or money…?
This was a super-fast read when it wanted to be. In the beginning, I was confused, I was like am I reading a romance? Those parts were so boring to me, it truly made the book drag. Tabitha was a dumb character which made me mad most of the time. The ending was predictable but it wasn’t. When it came to an end I wasn’t surprised but yet I didn't see it coming either.
Even though this was a 3 star read from me, it was still entertaining so I will be buying a copy to support both Michele and St.Martin's. Of course, no matter what the book is about Michele Campbell is an auto-buy author for me. Thank You to St. Martins Press and NetGalley for this arc!

This book was so good! The author does not disappoint. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a thriller to escape into.

I'm a huge fan of Michele Campbell's books and was extremely excited to read and review an early copy of The Wife who Knew too much. This book did not disappoint me i am happy to say. I was immediately drawn into this book and it kept me turning pages throughout from Nina's first diary entries as well as Tabitha and Connor's story..
I really loved the character Tabitha - working as a waitress in her hometown, she reconnects with her high school summer fling Connor who just happens to be married to a Nina, a wealthy older woman and his prenuptial agreement will leave him losing everything. Shortly after Tabitha and Connor reconnect - Nina is found dead - drowned in the swimming pool of her lavish estate. Did Nina kill herself or is someone else responsible? What happens when Tabitha finds Nina's hidden diary? You'll have to read and find out! Thank you so much St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Wife Who Knew Too Much is what happens when romance and thriller genres intersect... and it was excellent.
I was pulled into this book from the very beginning with Nina Levitt's diary entry. She pens that her husband is trying to kill her and if anything happens to her then it was Connor who did it. The next morning she wakes up dead.
Tabatha, is currently a waitress in the old town she grew up in, when her ex, Connor, walks in. Connor, the one who got away that summer as teens, and the one she hasn't stopped loving since. Too bad Connor is married to Nina Levitt and has no intention of giving up Nina's money.
The first half of the book you're kind of like "hmm, okay this is kind of a romance where you know something bad is going to happen" and the second half is like "okay WTF am I reading!!!!" (in the best possible way).
As Tabatha gets pulled more and more into Connor's life and the investigation of who killed Nina, Tabatha has to ask herself is she really knows who Connor is anymore and if he's framing her for Nina's death.

I have been hearing about this author for quite some time and was pretty happy when I was given the chance to read it. I'm not saying that I will never read another book by this author but I was Throw in a couple of characters who become a huge part of the story but are not well developed and it's a confusing jump into the story.
I thought this book was very predictable and ended exactly how I thought it would.

This book was an attention grabber from the beginning, and gave the reader a Romeo and Juliet scenario. Boy meets girl. They fall in love. Their families do not agree with the relationship and break them apart.
Years later, Connor conveniently shows up at the restaurant where Tabitha works, and it is as if time has stood still. They find out they still have feelings for each other and spend the night together. The bad thing is, Connor is married to a very rich woman named Nina and he promises Tabitha he is going to leave her. Tabitha soon discovers she is pregnant and goes looking for Connor at the Ford's annual 4th of July party in a panic.
Nina dies that night and where it is ruled a suicide, it eventually becomes clear she was murdered, but by who? You follow around all the other characters who are employed by the Ford's and Tabitha soon finds herself convinced of the murder. It's her job to prove her innocence, and at times, she is convinced Connor is involved.
This book took a very good turn and I was not able to guess who was involved. The ending could have been happier, because that's of course what we all want, but it eventually all made perfect sense.

I thought this book was really good. It’s a twisty turny who did it kinda book. It keeps you guessing until the end.
The writing is good and I read it in one sitting. It’s 3:00 am now and I’ve just finished it. Would try something else from this author.
I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

The Wife Who Knew to Much is a fast paced mystery/thriller.
Nina the ever so rich wife of Connor leaves an intriguing diary entry which from page one grabs your attention.
Her husband, not so faithful Connor, falls back in love with Tabitha.
Oh Tabitha did you really think it would be smooth sailing? You really made terrible choices.
The pages fly by, you cheer on Tabitha despite how things to start snowball against her.
Not going to give anything else away but grab your copy and settle in for a page turning read.
Thanks to Net Galley and St Martin's Press for a thrilling read.

The premise and first few chapters had me hooked! Then Tabitha was just too stupid for words. I kept forgetting that she was 30 years old because she was acting like a teenager. But anyway. The story was just decent but the characters kind of ruined it for me.

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free, electronic review of this novel received in exchange for an honest review.

Tabitha Girard’s life did not go the way she had always planned. After having her heartbroken in high school by Connor Ford, Tabitha is still living in the same town she grew up in, waitressing to make ends meet. When Connor walks into her life again, she is completely thrown off. Soon the two are reuniting and reminiscing about days gone by, and their feelings for each other return quickly and passionately. The one problem? Connor is married to uber rich socialite Nina, and leaving her would mean leaving his lavish lifestyle, so the two must keep their relationship a secret. Until the day Nina’s body is found in her own pool, and police begin to doubt that it was a suicide. Tabitha is soon a suspect, as is Connor, and now that the two of them can be together once again, they are in more danger than ever before.
Michele Campbell is the author of “It’s Always the Husband”, “Stranger on the Beach” and “She Was the Quiet One”. I have been lucky enough to have read, and enjoyed, all three. Being privy to this new release as well was just as exciting for me, and I was thrilled for the chance.
Right off the bat, you know that something is amiss. Campbell hints at a possible murder, and conspiracy plot, but throughout the entire novel she gives away no obvious clues so you are left guessing. Everyone is just as likely to be a suspect as someone else, and no character is completely innocent.
Tabitha’s real life Cinderella, rags-to-riches story makes her the more relatable character, coming from a working class background. Nina and Connor have had ultra-luxurious and lavish lives, unwilling to part with an ounce of their fortune, even for the safety and happiness of themselves and their family. I would like to say this part is unbelievable but to be fair, I highly doubt it. The rich stay rich for a reason, right?
All of Campbell’s characters have something likable about them, and I didn’t actually expect to like all of them as much as I did. The twists and turns in this novel are right on par with Campbell’s previous works. This novel pulls you in from the first page and doesn’t let go. The ending hits and although some of it was predictable, other parts of it were not. It plays out like an entertaining-as-hell TV movie, but that’s not a bad thing.
Campbell’s creativity and writing skill only increases with each book she pens, and I’m thrilled that I got to be an early reader for all of her novels up to this point. She knows how to write a pulse-pounding novel full of unexpected twists and turns, and I look forward to reading more from her.

Tabitha Girard and Connor Ford dated when they were younger, and he broke her heart. To her, it meant more than just a summer fling. As it turns out, Connor married for money, but his heart always belonged to Tabitha. Years later, when Connor's wife Nina takes her own life, Tabitha sets her sights on him again. She stops in her tracks, however, when she finds a diary written by Nina, who fears for her life: "If I die unexpectedly, blame Connor --- and her." Who is "her," Tabitha wonders, and what secrets has Connor been hiding?

The book starts explosively, with Nina suspecting someone wants her dead after she’s caught her husband, Connor, cheating. A wealthy woman because of her first husband, her company is extremely successful. Connor is typed as a philandering husband who wants her money. That plays out from the start with him returning to see his high school sweetheart, Tabatha.
I thought the storyline was fun in the unfolding. Both Tabatha and Nina’s stories are given to us in bits and pieces. Nina’s from the first meeting she had with Connor. The heart of the storyline didn’t kick in until the last quarter of the book and I thought that was unique.
The characters weren’t all that deep, so there was no connection to them at all. Tabatha isn’t much of a character, she has no strong personality one way or the other until she’s under investigation. Only then do we see that she doesn’t know how to keep quiet when people are repeatedly telling her that speaking up hurts her more than staying silent. (Which drove me a bit nuts.)
It took me a while to get into the book, which surprised me considering the way it started. But once I got into it, I was hooked. It’s a fun, well-told storyline. Overall, a fun read. Thank you St. Martin's for sending this along.

WHOA!!! I was captivated by this book from the beginning! It was riveting through the end and had guessing the entire time. A story of an intense teenage love story between Tabitha and Connor that ended because of money and status. Many years down the road they reconnect unexpectedly and their reunion was as though they were never a part. But history has a way of repeating itself and Tabitha finds herself entangled with the complications wealth, status and power can bring. This story had so many twists and turns it was truly a whirlwind. I am looking forward to reading other stories by this author. Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for my ARC which I received in exchange for my honest review. I have enjoyed previous works by this author, so I was very excited to read this book. Michele Campbell brings her signature compelling writing style and the book hooked me from the start. This is a fast paced domestic thriller, told from two points of view. Small town waitress with a good heart, Tabitha and worldly wealthy socialite Nina Levitt. Surprisingly, these very different women end up married to the duplicitous Connor.
Who is the titular wife who knew too much? Both are actually. While some readers may find themselves drawn to the sweet Tabitha who fell in love with Connor as a teenager, I preferred the sophisticated and complicated Nina. Nina grew up poor but ended up marrying business tycoon and philanderer, Edward Levitt. After his eventual death, Nina is left with a seat on the Board of a global business, the Levitt fortune and a massive seaside estate, Windswept. Soon after Edward's death, the much younger Connor sweeps Nina off her feet. Nina is savvy and suspects that Connor may be after her fortune. Nina attempts to do some due diligence and has Connor investigated before marrying him, but little does Nina realize that she can't trust the people around her.
It's not much of a spoiler to reveal that Nina ends up dead as the reader learns that in the first chapter. When Connor re-enters Tabitha's life, the reader is initially left guessing whether he is just using Tabitha or if she is the love of his life.
Although the book is fast-paced and I could not put it down, I did become frustrated with how naive and trusting Tabitha is. When someone shows you who they are, believe them! There were some twists and turns but I did solve the mystery pretty early on. The author did tie up the loose ends which I appreciate but I was not completely satisfied with the ending because I feel as though Tabitha forgave Connor for the unforgivable. I also think that Tabitha did not make the best financial decisions in the end which was frustrating and yet authentic to her character.
Overall, this is an enjoyable domestic thriller with some twists and turns. Not my favorite Michele Campbell novel but definitely worth reading.

A fast paced psychological thriller with lots of twists that kept me guessing. Stayed up to finish it to find out the culprit. What a great wrap up!
Thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for the ARC

An amazing story of twists & turns. I was sucked in by the opening paragraph “I’m writing this to raise an alarm in the event of my untimely death...my husband is planning to kill me.”
Connor & Tabitha’s whirlwind romance is full of love and lies. Who can be trusted and who is telling the truth? Really enjoyed this mystery/suspense novel & will definitely be reading more of Michele Campbell.
Thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for the ARC!

Wow! This book grabs you from the first page and doesn’t let go til the very end. It was fast paced and kinda twisted.
I wasn’t real happy with Tabitha, she seemed wimpy and immature. Too love sick over an obvious player.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the early copy

A domestic thriller with lots of twists and turns. I really could not foresee some of the things that happened in this book and that is always a good thing-keep them guessing. Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book.

A fantastic domestic thriller. I flew through it because I enjoyed the ride so much. The plot starts off strong as it details the steamy teenage romance between Tabitha and Connor whose love is unexpectedly rekindled when they encounter each other as adults. This portion of the book was incredibly well written and allowed me to really connect with the characters. The story then transforms into a gripping tale of suspense when Connor’s older (and very rich) wife, Nina, dies under suspicious circumstances. From there, the tension builds and then never stops, making it a very fast-paced read. There are plenty of twists and turns that keep the reader questioning all of the characters’ motives until the very end. I had so much fun trying to figure it out!
