I don't know how to feel about this one. I wished that the circumstances were not that complicated for Jade and Max to get their hea. There's unexpected twists in it. They both really tried to make things work, sacrifices and changes need to be made. I struggled a bit with the story, trying to make sense of everything. The circumstances were just too complicated for me.

A very unique take on the accidental pregnancy story.

Max and Jade meet one night in New York when they each have someone encouraging them to let loose a little bit. After one night together she finds out she's pregnant and gets in touch with Max. The twist - and this is not a spoiler as it's disclosed early on in the book - is that he is also expecting a baby with a friend who lives in Miami where he's planning to move.

This certainly made for an interesting plot, but I felt that the actions and advice of some of the characters felt unrealistic. Jade's friend Amy, for example, kept saying there's nothing to worry about with him having a baby with another woman in another state. Things like that took me out of the story as it felt pretty unbelievable that she wouldn't think Jade should be even a bit cautious about it.

I read the book fairly quickly and was curious how it would all play out, but it was just an OK read for me.

Max Navarro is busy pursuing his dream of opening a second gym in Miami and doesn’t have a lot of free time. Hence why it’s been months since he was last with a woman. Agreeing to help his brother, he shows up at Brad’s Tavern to help bartend. Recognizing the beautiful girl across the room from his gym, he can’t stop staring. Jade is out with her bestie Amy to celebrate her birthday. Amy is trying to get her to hookup with someone to dust out the cobwebs, and what better way than Kismet Karaoke? With a little meddling help from his little brother, Max finds himself singing karaoke with the beauty across the room. Sparks instantly fly and what is supposed to only be a one night stand, turns into something way more.

This story has an interesting twist, that although not my favorite part of the story, didn’t diminish by loving it any less. Max and Jade make a great couple, but I have to admit Amy and Brad stole the story for me, especially Brad lol. Overall, Not According to Plan is a fun, sweet and sexy story that left me wanting more.

This was a delightfully fun romantic story, it made some dreary rainy days a lot more fun by its reading!!

Not According to Plan is a fiery romance with so many great moments. A one night stand turned into something more and it was one heck of a journey. The two main characters are so likable and make a great pair.

When we meet Jade, she is celebrating her birthday at a karaoke bar. Her friend convinces her to let her hair down for one night and let loose. She goes on stage and is paired up with a hottie named Max. Sparks were flying during their duet and it led to a night of passion.

Things get a little more complicated when Jade receives some unexpected news. Max and Jade keep in contact and can't keep their hands off each other. So many things are standing in their way, but their attraction and connection continue to bring them back every time.

You can expect a rollercoaster when it comes to their relationship and it is so worth the ride.

I give Not According to Plan 4 stars. It's a really good romance that is easy to get swept up in. I highly recommend it to romance readers who enjoy well-developed characters that make it through all the obstacles life throws at them.

I want to preface my review by saying that accidental pregnancy is one of my all time favorite tropes and that is why I picked this one up. It’s also been a while since I really disliked a book, but I found this plot to be over the top. I also sincerely disliked the male character, as he was always making decisions for the female lead. Personally, the ending was not a happy one for me either. The whole story just made me irritated and unhappy. I can say a lot more, but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, because you may very well be intrigued by this one.

It was a good story with likeable characters, I read it in one sitting because I was intrigued by the plot

This novel is quite original and unique,.We meet our main characters Jade and Max who are immediately likeable and relatable. We follow their lives as they are suddenly expecting a surprise baby. I find the sistuation fun and cute!I liked the set up and I loved the writing!Honestly, I felt bad for Max. He was under so much stress and there wasn’t anything he could do to give everyone what they wanted and needed. There has been something special between these two during that one amazing night together but can it be enough to bring them together? Read the book and you'll know! It's refreshing!

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Jade Easton and Max Navarro. In this book we meet these two characters when for her birthday Jade is dragged to a bar owned by one of Max's brothers, Brad. She then learns that Max is one of three identical triplets. While she would be more suited it seems with one of Max's others brothers Nate a lawyer just like herself she only has eyes for Max. Max knows now is not the time to be finding a new woman but he can't help but fall for Jade. One night is all it takes to know the woman he once laid eyes on in his gym is a woman he is meant to be with. The problem he has is one night while celebrating his grand opening for his gym he and his best friend had a few too man drinks and now they are having a baby together. To make matters harder for him one night with Jade is all it takes to get her pregnant as well. Will these two find their HEA or will they just be two people with strong feelings for each other and a baby between them?

This is another stand out book for this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. Oh do I want to tell you so much more about it. However I don't want to ruin the story for any others. I will say though this is an absolute close and lock the doors, let someone else deal with the kid, you won't be able to put it down book. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Max and Jade had so much chemistry it oozed off the pages. I really liked how they met, interfering brother and best friend. It was cute and opened up so much potential for the get to know you stage.
Max had a lot on his plate, and not every woman would be able and willing to deal with the added stress. Jade was a kick a** and take names later attorney. She didn’t have time for relationships, but couldn’t stay away from Max. Their relationship was realistic and I found myself rooting for them to figure every out. My only issue was wishing the author would have given the reader an inkling of whether her father ever changed his feelings for Max. I know Jade told Max he did, but I think she told him that to make him feel better.
I loved this book and can’t wait for another book in the series. I highly recommend this book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Not According To Plan was a wonderful surprise, in more ways than one! I'm crossing my fingers that we'll get Amy and Brad's story soon as well. Buckle up and enjoy Jade and Max's story. Not According To Plan was a wonderful surprise, in more ways than one! I'm crossing my fingers that we'll get Amy and Brad's story soon as well. Buckle up and enjoy Jade and Max's story. This was written with such hilarious and witty characters, not to mention the relationship between Max and his brothers. Super minimal angst, which I appreciated, allows you to be pulled in to the story and hoping that they can somehow work it all out. The family/best friends dynamics are great and will have you laughing and a little heart broken, but it's so worth the journey, I promise! Don't miss out on this story, it's definitely one you'll want to read again soon.

Not According to plan, begins with the “good girl gone bad” troupe. Jade and her friend Amy go out for Jade’s birthday at a local bar. Jade is paired with Max for karaoke and sparks fly. Jade decides to ditch her boring life and have a steamy one night stand with Max.
Fast forward six weeks and Jade is pregnant. Jade is a lawyer and Max owns a gym in NY but travels to Miami often because he is opening another gym. Max has another reason for going to Miami, his friend with benefits Tracy is pregnant as well. Max evidently is very virile. So most of the book Max and Jade and falling in love while he bounces between NYC and Miami.
A couple things I don’t understand about this is Jade’s career and everyone being okay with the baby situation. Jade is a lawyer and her firm point blank tells her she can’t get a promotion because she is pregnant. I am no lawyer but I am pretty sure that is illegal. Max is not the great catch everyone in the book tells him that he is. I did think the ending was good but predictable. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This had the beginning of that cute oops baby story...Yet things kinda took a Whoops of major proportions. This tale is a journey between two people who are attracted, now involved because of a baby and have serious decisions to make.

This delicious read came at the right time when a little lightness along with the romance. These characters will start with a bit of fun but that fun turns out to have rewards that were not in the picture at the time. Jade and Max might of thought one night was it but we know how that usually goes especially when love decides to bite. The bits of humor in the life obstacles make this one that you can steadily turn the pages and enjoy each one.

I truly enjoy the "Accidental Pregnancy" trope, and I always seek out these types of romantic story-lines. Not According to Plan by new to me author A.M. Madden, executed this trope quite nicely, along with a mind-blowing twist.

Jade Easton has her future planned down to the last, meticulous detail. She is on her way to way to making junior partner, in a very stuffy, very traditional, law firm. Jade is a workaholic and has little time for fun or a relationship. Luckily, her best friend Amy is able to force the fun from time to time. An evening of Kismet Karaoke with successful gym owner Max Navarro, evolves into a night of amazing passion. About six weeks later Jade realizes she is pregnant, which completely curtails her best laid plans. In addition, she can't stop thinking about Max.

Max has a lot going on in his life. Besides being an identical triplet, he is opening his second gym in Miami, near his college alma-mater. Gym number one is in New York City, where his two brothers and family reside nearby. He splits his time between NYC and Miami, which is becoming more and more difficult due to his love for Jade, the pregnancy, and his responsibilities in Miami. His time is not his own and he wants to ensure that those involved in his life are taken care of.

This novel is quite original and unique. The author has evolved the "Accidental Pregnancy" trope into so much more. Jade and Max are a hot couple, both in and out of the bedroom. The secondary characters are interesting, and add a lot of adventure to the plot. I loved the fact that Max is a triplet, and I hope that his two identical brothers get their own story. Overall, a solid romance with a nice balance of steamy scenes.

Let me say that according to me A.M. Madden can not write any bad books at all. Every single time I open one of her books and start reading,I just fall into it. And it's like I'm there I'm transported right into that world. And to me that's the best kind of book. One that you can lose yourself in. And I've never read a book like this one before. It was so orginal and it's one of those that can really happen in real life. You feel all the struggles and the heartache and the joy that every character goes through. Max and Jade are like the perfect character's and I love love that it's from both perceptions and you know exactly what that person is thinking. I didn't want this book to ever end. And I also want a book about Nate and Brad!!!! This should definitely be a one-click read for all of you!!! I highly recommend this book and any book by A.M. !!! -By Tina

An ok read for me. The storyline was a little meh for me. I did like Jade and Max and I felt they had some chemistry but not enough to pull me fully into the story. I will read more from this author but this story wasn’t for me.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I wanted to like this, it sounded light hearted fun, but unfortunately not my cup of tea, a bit too far fetched, I couldn’t connect with the characters and to be honest I didn’t find them likeable, it may be a good story for others just not for me

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
