Not liking it much, sadly.
The characters and the story was meh and sort of okay.

Thank you to netgalley and publishers for providing this arc in an exchange for an honest review. This type of book is not what I usually read so it was new for me. It took a while to get into but it did pick up. There was a lot of detailed sex scenes and as long as readers are aware of that and enjoy that, this book should be a generally good read.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I was not sure what to do with this book when I started started reading it. I was a little confused but once I got passed the first couple of chapters the author's writing style started to make sense to me and the book was much more enjoyable. Emilia and her sister travel to Europe to settle the family estate and that is when Emilia starts to have dreams about a man. This man is Massimino and he is an evil sorcerer. He wants revenge for what happened to him and he wants to us Emilia to help him get it It is a book that you will want to read in one setting. It is an intense ride and makes me want to know know more and more.

Loved reading the spellbinding and mesmerizing paranormal story. Even though Emilia wants to find out more about her background and inheritance, her dreams about a mysterious man, Massimino, leave Emilia full of yearnings and confusion. When Emilia & her adopted sister, Amanda, travel across the world to a small isolated town, Emilia discovers Massimino is real and a dark sorcerer. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of action & suspense, and a riveting story line. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
I reviewed a copy of the book through NetGalley.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary copy of this book in return for a review based upon my honest oopinion.

This is the first book I have read by this author and a genre I used to read almost exclusively years ago. I enjoyed the story-line and the characters. The setting was fantastic, in the mountains of Slovakia near Proprad, which I quickly googled to get a feeling for the area, it is stunning and I could picture a castle in the mountains, great job with the feel of the book. I think I liked the sister, Amanda a little more than Emilia, but enjoyed their interaction with one another and others.

Interesting story, I will definitely have to check out the next book to see where the series goes from here.

This book was really hard to review. Well I really like the story and the characters they were intriguing and funny and kept me engaged the problem with the book is usually is one that I don’t come across often. Well this is the typical genre I enjoy the sex scenes completely took me out of the book. There were a lot of them too. They were Cringe worthy. And I found myself skipping them through most of the story.

It was a good story but I found it to be too focused on the sex, I’m no prude and sex scenes are great, but these were a bit sigh at times and although sometimes required for plot, there was definitely way too much here. I enjoyed the story and characters,I will read more but just hope the author tone it down next time.

A mixed up one this. The basic story would, I feel, appeal to teenagers/young adults - college girls, unexpected inheritance, sorcery, magic in a fairy tale castle and the like. The over the top raunchy sex not (or shouldn't to my old mind). The effect of Massimino on Emilia through mind manipulation is just the start, her physical response to a male friend as a result, hmmm - then we have her visits to the solicitors with her 'sister' and their excitement about her legacy especially as it involved fully paid trips to Slovakia, land of castles, much better as is the journey to the ancient village and castle. That gets up to about 47% of the book. Thereafter it is really teenagery stuff except for the over the top graphic sex scenes of Massimino with a variety of village women and girls. Once or twice, ok, we get the picture, but they just go on and on and add nothing to the story. The story intrigues and I suspect that there will be a follow-up, presumably the village getting back to normal with the new "owner" but how she fits that with college life and boyfriend back in the States remains to be seen. Hopefully less sex. Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is a difficult one to review.
Did I love the plot? Yes. Was I engaged in the story? Yes. Do I want to continue with the series? Yes!
However I found the sex scenes - of which there are many! More cringe inducing than smutty and while I understand that they were a large part of the plot I just don’t think they were needed and it would have been just as good if not better without.
I found the characters okay...but the writing style took a while to get used to which took me out of the story at times. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series to see where the story goes!
