I prefer the old recipes, ones that have been used on farms and in households for years. These tend to be hearty meals with simple ingredients that can be found in pretty much any grocery store. This is why I wanted to review this cookbook.

Though it is just a sample, I found several recipes that I am planning to try. All of them are easy to follow and they cover a range of foods and drinks. Even with the limited number of recipes, you can find ones to add variety to weekly menus.

Amish Friends Farmhouse Favorites Cookbook by Wanda E. Brunstetter is an amazing book full of delicious recipes including breads, jams, main dishes and more. I loved the extra facts thrown in that tell about Amish life. This book would be lovely to give as a gift. Anyone who enjoys cooking is sure to love this book.

I love cookbooks such as this, and I look forward to seeing more than just a sample. The recipes in this teaser look and sound yummy!
