Praying the Promises of the Bible is a beautiful resource for deepening our relationship with the Lord. Scripture is powerful, and as we base our prayers on God's promises, our faith becomes strengthened. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting a more active and robust prayer life. This is a beautiful book on prayer. The prayers included in it are based on scripture. They were very encouraging and inspiring. It makes a great devotional and prayer aid.

Prayers have been divided into many categories. Whatever need or situation you need to take before the Father, you will be able to get assistance in the small but mighty book. It is definitely one to keep handy. I highly recommend it to everyone. It gets a 5 star rating from me. A copy was provided by Net Galley.

The prayers in this book, which are based on scripture, are encouraging and inspiring. There are quite a few different categories of these prayers. By reading the verses that accompany each prayer, this book becomes an excellent devotional for any season of life. My review copy of this book was an ebook, but I’ll be purchasing a print copy for everyday use.

You will find 380 prayers in this book, divided into many sections such as Direction, Encouragment, Forgiveness, Kindness, Priorities, Rescue, Rest, and Wisdom. I counted 56 topics, so whatever circumstances you are facing in life, you will find more than a few prayers here to help you.

The prayers are earnest and intimate and represents the type of prayers that we can send up to a loving and caring God.

Actually, many of the Bible verses given here are not strictly promises. Some of those I've seen are really instructions. The majority of the verses from Proverbs are actually not promises. Also, it is very easy to take a Bible verse out of context, especially if only two to three of the verses are quoted.

Having said that, however, this book is still useful. We often don't know how to pray and praying with the help of the Bible is really THE way to go.

380 promises directly out of the Bible that help you pray when you can’t think of your own. Many times I’ve needed someone to pray for me and this book does it directly with scripture. So many topics to choose from this makes it so much easier to find when your in need.

This treasure of a book contains 380 prayers based on God's promises to His believers (scriptural references included). The prayers are beautiful, heartfelt, personal and powerful!

I really like several things about this book:
- its 56 topics cover a broad spectrum of the human experience,
- several prayers are offered in each topic,
- prayers for a certain situation can easily be found,
- it is calming and refreshing to read/hear the prayers of others,
- there are times when you find yourself at a loss for words or uncertain how to express your feelings. This book provides prayers that everyone can relate to.

The author more than makes good on the promise stated in her title; praying these prayers will surely strengthen your faith in God. What is more, they will also bring you into a closer relationship with Him, His deepest desire.

This book touched me so much! I plan to buy a hardcopy for myself, and several copies to give as gifts to my friends.

In the book's introduction, the author writes "Through these prayers based on God's promises, may your spirit be brighter, your walk surer, your service greater, and your life more joyful." Amen, Ms. Maltese, AMEN!!

I was greatly enticed by the concept of praying the promises of the Bible as I have heard from many people that praying the Scriptures is a very effective way to pray. I was also very interested in specifically taking a look at Gods promises in the Bible. The book is organized by topics, things like anger, faith, trust etc.. under each topic title is a brief encouraging description of this topic and its then followed by several prayers. Each prayer also has listed Scripture references but the Scriptures are not written out. I did find it annoying to need to look up the references on the side to compare them to the prayers in the book. I found the prayers helpful to kind of spur on some of her thoughts or reminders of areas to be grateful for. I supposed I was a little underwhelmed by the book as a whole while it did have some benefits.

Very timely. One of the best safeguards in our sanctification are the promises which God has given His people, and by holding onto these promises, we're motivated to stand steadfast in the faith.

In this book, the author looks at the various promises God has promised us, and gives us an idea of how we may pray over them in order to be encouraged in the faith.

It is a good book, not the best or the greatest one. A useful book to use in your prayer life when you want to focus on a topic, in this case, the promises of God

All of us are created with hearts that cry out to God. Sometimes, I know exactly what I want to say or ask. Other times, I know I want to be heard, but don’t know exactly what I am trying to say. Listening to others pray can be comforting and powerful when words elude me. The body of believers is a powerful entity meant to encourage, uplift and instruct us in our own walk with God. This book provides topical prayers from others, based on Scripture, that I can either recite myself or receive inspiration for how to pray myself. I received a complimentary copy and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Everyday problems and lifes extremes are covered in this remarkable book. I am going through a rough patch right now. I could have started at the beginning as topics are in chapter form. however I looked through the chapters and found my specific problem. I began praying and have done so for the last few days. I truly feel better as the author has a real sense of what all of our problems create in us that keep us from having faith and trust. I have gone back to the beginning and am reading the book . It is uncanny the way it seems God knows my problems while I read this and then turns this stress into positive prayer and actions. Very helpful and practical.
