An excellent material to organize and read the Bible more constantly, without a doubt one of the things that we have the most difficulty in the Christian walk.

This book was amazing - it provided guidance especially for new believers. I used it for a year and I will strongly recommend this book to anyone. Well done team!

Nice devotional, quick read. Great that the devotional is for a year. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

I love this little devotional for soaking in Scripture through out the day. I'm not a morning person so having my quiet times early in the day just doesn't work. With this devotional though, I can read for a few minutes in the morning and still have content to go more in depth later in the day. I love that this book provides Scripture for both mornings and evenings, and can be read in just a few minutes if necessary. Each day provides a passage from both the Old and New Testaments, as well as readings from Psalms or Proverbs. In addition to the Scriptures, this devotional also includes encouragement, prayers, and devotionals for each day, making it a nice blend of both. This would make a sweet gift for the busy mom or anyone just starting their quiet time practice.

This book includes not just a plan to read through the Bible in a year, but also encouraging, inspiring prayers and short devotionals. This plan includes daily passages from the Old and New Testaments and Psalms. I thought the morning prayers were a wonderful way to focus your thoughts at the beginning of each day; and the evening reading was a great way to close the day. This book would be very helpful to anyone who wants to read through the Bible, even if you don’t plan on finishing it in a year.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I started this a couple times but it hasn’t become a habit that I consistently do, I am going to put it on hold till January and finish what I have now hoping this will speak to me in 2021

A Reading Plan combined with Prayers and Devotions
"Read & Pray through the Bible in a Year. Morning and Evening Devotions for Women" was compiled by Barbour Staff and published by Barbour Publishing, Inc. The goal of this compilation can be found in the introduction: "God asks you to meditate on this precious gift and to make it a central part of your life. And He promises that if you do, He will make your way prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8). As one of God’s children, you simply cannot ignore His Word. The more intimately you know the Bible, the more fully you will come to know and love the Author. Look forward to how God will change your life as you read through and pray on His Word this year." Every day lists a passage from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from the Psalms or the Proverbs. It is combined with a morning prayer, followed by a Bible verse from the listed passages and a very brief devotion entitled "Evening Reading."
The book is presented in a great layout and graphic design. It also contains a Scripture Index which is very useful for readers who search a devotion for a particular Bible reference. I recommend this book for readers (and it can be also used by men) who want to have a little bit more than a stark Bible reading plan which can be also found elsewhere. I appreciate also the fact that the Days are only numbered and not dated which allows readers to start with the book whenever they want. They are not "forced" to start at the beginning of the years which provides flexibility.
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is a nice way to spend the year reading the Bible. It provides a welcoming selection of verses from the Old and New Testaments including Psalms and Proverbs. This is something for each day and not just for the morning or not just for the evening, but both. Sometimes these type of devotional books have devotionals or readings and prayers available for any time, but only once a day. Pick what works for you. This is a little different. You start your day with the Bible or end your day with the Bible. This book provides you with something for throughout the year. This is wonderful to help you welcome your day and end your day with God’s Word.

Thank you so much for Netgalley and the publisher for providing me this e-galley in exchange of my honest review!

This review is based on my 1 month experience using the book. I was super excited to dive into this book and use it daily. I have always wanted to have a Bible journal/Praying guide book. I love how much it helps you guide you in your daily Bible reading, and also journaling. It always has a morning Scripture and one for the evening with the following praying.
I belive it is a useful guide for the Bible and gets into the daily routine to read it more and reading through the Bible in a year! I am sure i will be using this through the year.

The only inconvenience I experience was that in an e-book format, it is a bit hard to separate the morning and evening readings because there is no clear breaking up between the Scrioture line and the prayer.

I didn't actually read and pray through the Bible this year as this book instructs us to do, but I did read through the book. I like the way it breaks down the reading. You are reading through the Old Testament, New Testament and Psalms as well as reading the mornings and evenings devotions.
If you have been looking for a good reading plan, I strongly suggest you check out this book. I am thinking about doing this for the next year. And I think you will love it too.

I rec'd a copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley. I was not required to write a review. The opinions here are mine only!

Read & Pray through the Bible in a Year is a daily guidebook book, with both a morning prayer and an evening devotional, that are linked to Scripture readings. The back of the digital version lists the Bible passages for each day. Since this isn’t dated, you can begin this journey on any day of the year! Great resource, but think I would have preferred to use a paper edition for these readings. Thank you to Netgalley and Barbour Staff for providing me with this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Read and pray through the Bible in one year. This simple plan is reading the Bible and praying. All in one year. Morning and evening for about 15 minutes each. It’s perfect for when you want to read through the Bible in a year just add in prayer and you’ve got yourself a plan to get your relationship with God foolproof!!!

Opening book statement says it best, "Welcome to Your Year in the Word"
God will change your life as you read through and pray on His Word this year

As a Christian who recently chose to be baptized (baptized as infant),
I have been reading, studying, reflecting on the Bible lately more than ever in my life.
As I learn more of God's Words, I know more of God, and
I want to spread His Words, His Truth, His Love.

This book is a great way to read the Bible, to pray daily both morning and night.
There is a Scripture Index in the back for help if you need it.

I enjoyed this. I expected a little more than just prayers but overall the prayers were a nice starting place. Thanks for allowing me to have early access to this.

Read & Pray through the Bible in a Year
Morning and Evening Devotions for Women
by Compiled by Barbour Staff
I did not care for this book but to be fair I don’t enjoy reading plans that skip around the Bible. This being said the prayers and brief devotional were nice. It wasn’t my favorite but this is personal preference not by any means a reason not to try it yourself.
I received this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review shared here.

So far I have really enjoyed this devotional. I love that it gives real life examples of trials and tribulations. I loved the simple format and beginning and ending each day with prayer and reflection. The verses were well put together with the themes. Although for review sake I read a few chapters then skimmed I think this would make a great gift for my Mother and sisters for Mothers Day. Thank you Barbour Publishing and NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

A delightful devotional! It really makes it easy to read through the Bible in what is such a short amount of time compared to its length. 2-3 chapters a day will be read from both the Old and New Testaments along with the accompanying daily devotional and prayer from this book (Bible not included). If you are someone who understands things better reading in chronological order, this may not be for you, as the daily readings are from multiple books of the Bible. Although it is listed as a "woman's" devotional, mature young ladies would enjoy this as well. Thank you to Barbour Publishing for an advance review of this devotional in exchange for an unbiased review (I did not take the full 365 days to read it in order to complete it prior to the publishing date).

A compact and attractive devotional. Each page has suggested verses, a morning prayer, and an evening reading. I couldn't figure out why the subheading said it was for women, because neither the reading nor the prayer had anything to do with women, feminism, or anything overtly female (except where the word "man" has been substituted with "women" in some verses). Maybe it's just because the cover and page headings have pink flowers?

Also, this is not a major complaint, but the pages say "day one," "day two", etc., instead of "January 1" or "April 14". I like it when I'm reading the page for the current calendar day, but that's just me.

I am not sure how this book ended up in my review pile. I did not request this book. It is a pretty daily devotional that gives morning prayer and an evening reading that are all connected to a bible verse. Each day also has a theme. Since I am not Christian I am not the right person to ask if they are correct, but the themes were connected with challenges you would face every day.
