My first read by this author. At first I was unsure if I could get into it. The main characters are very different. They found a since of peace in each other's arms..At this period of time there were lots of conflicts and turmoil. Wyoming rancher Cooper is a rancher who's land is what he cares about until Cassie comes along. He doesn't why he is attracted to her but after Cassie falls for him neither one can say how it why they feel how they do. Thank you for her valley for the chance to read and review this Arc copy

Always on My Mind is my first read by Andrea Downing and I’m so glad I gave this new to me author the proverbial go! Set a time when a nation’s feelings about life and world events were often conflicting and cause for friction amongst the masses, this is a story of two very different and real individuals who found temporary solace in each other’s arms. There are confrontational issues that may cause some people distress, but the author addresses this topic with care and compassion. There is plenty of tension and misunderstandings between these extremely complex characters as they navigate an unexpected attraction and all that it entails. Ms Downing paints a beautiful visual of the landscape and the period setting, while keeping her characters believable and true to turmoil of 70’s. I had moments of heartache, and then edge of my seat trepidation as I awaited the final outcome of this wonderful story. I’m sure it will open the eyes of those not familiar with life in this nostalgic time.

This is not a typical romance. This book is set in early 70s The man. Is older. The hippie naive girl. He treats the girl as he could care less. If she stays. Embarrassed of her. When around his friends. But when she leaves to get out of his hair. He’s like but I cared for you. This was my life. I don’t need to read the book
