A humorous memoir of a NYC beekeeper. Its Cote’s journey through beekeeping and his relationship with the bees and honey! If you wanna know about bees and beekeeping, read this book. Informative, light read and a good outdoorsy book.
Thank you NetGalley, Andrew Cote and Random House publishing for reader’s copy of this book. This review is not influenced and is my own opinion of the book.

An interesting memoir about an urban beekeeper in NYC. Part memoir, part history of bees. It leads pretty well over. Casual but interesting. A few bits bordered on self congratulatory, bug brief enough that I could overlook them.

I actually really enjoyed this book! I have read a few other novels about bees but this one was far more engaging and interesting than most others! I really did enjoy it. I learned about the lost art of beekeeping, and I felt even more compelled to care more about bees!

Cote lives in New York city, where he keeps millions of bees on top of some of the most famous buildings in the city. This book follows the beekeeper through the course of one year, dealing with concerned and misinformed neighbors, swarms of bees and New York’s challenging climate. He takes us along with he and his father as they travel to exotic locales in Bees Without Borders. This book is funny, charming and enlightening, demonstrating how and why we need to keep our bee populations healthy
