This was a thrilling read with so many twists and turns, my head is still spinning! You don't know who to trust, and just as you think you have the plot figured out, your head spins again. Recommended.

I was literally hooked from the first page on reading this book. It had my heart racing. It was great. A psychological thriller but had a test where it was good fun to read too. Great plot. But different from other thrillers

What a fantastic ride of psychological suspense. Motherhood is difficult enough without throwing OCD into the mix. Full review to come

A standard thriller that didn't do much to add to the genre but was still good and exactly what i was expecting when I decided to read it.

Going in, I thought I roughly knew what I was getting into, and I wasn't disappointed. Some good twists and slight changes to tropes, but the book does exactly what it says on the tin. It wasn't an overly challenging or, to be honest, disturbing, read, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

A great psychological thriller with different twists and turns. I did find it a little disturbing and made me wonder just who I could trust and who I couldn't. A refreshing change from the usual crime books.

A read that I found frustrating at times. The main character, although she had been through trauma in the past, I found extremely irritating. I just wanted to shake her! The plot was OK but predictable.

Laurie is stunned when her husband disappears. Worse, he's left her with all the bills and no way to pay them. She becomes an "influencer" and gets a whole lot more than she bargained for. Such a fun & twisty book! I did not see most of these twists coming at all!

When Laurie's husband disappears leaving their five year old daughter alone in the house and with huge amount of debt she doesn't know what to do.
After bumping into her old college friend she offers Laurie a job and a place to live but it means moving back to her old town which she said she would never do due to what happened there.
Can Laurie overcome her fears for her daughter's sake?
And rebuild their lives?

This was an easy to read thriller that kept my attention all the way through! Lots of twists and surprises I didn't see coming. Very good, would recommend.....definitely some surprises throughout that I was expecting 🙂

Really enjoyed this domestic thriller. It’s cleverly written as the tension mounts through each chapter whilst the mother and daughter’s relationship disintegrates. I had to keep reading to see what happens next.

The premise of this book:
Trust no-one, suspect everyone.

The reason I gave the book four stars instead of five:
1.) The characters made decisions that were unbelievable at times. If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is.
2.) A lot of the things the 5-year-old girl said did not seem normal for that age.

After reading “A PerfectMother” I will read more of her books.
This was the first book I read by this author. Jo has a series called, “The Secrets of Suburbia”.

I received this galley from NetGalley.

A well written psychological thriller.

Laurie's husband goes missing and it's all about finding out what happened, who's involved... the past isn't just the past...
Interesting storyline, good characters and plot. It keeps you turning the pages until the end.

ARC received through NetGalley. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.

#BookReview (Slight Spoiler Alert🚨 )

The inception of this story was intriguing. A woman with severe OCD symptom found herself searching for a missing husband after realizing he was in tremendous debt with no relief in site. With no money and no way to actually make money (since he was the primary bread winner), she ends up going to live with her social media crazed acquaintance from college who transforms her (and her 4 year old daughter) into a internet famous influencer. Did I mention that the acquaintance was a millionaire?

Sounds good, right? Well, yes but the ending was tough to get through. The author was shy on the realistic details of the story. It started reading like Scooby Doo fan fiction. Exhibit A - Sample from the text: “As Teddy lunged at me, I ducked under his arm...” This sounds like something Shaggy or Scooby would have done when running from the “ghost”.

Aside from that, the story was pretty good. Character development flowed nicely and the psychological traits were well executed. If the ending would have been better then this book could have easily been a 5 star read.

As a psychological thriller, this story was both haunting (as it should be) and relatable (sad but true). I think everyone who is on Instagram and social media should read this to get a different (or perhaps the already known) perspective of how an influencer runs their business and how it can affect someone's life being in the spotlight. Jo Crow does a fantastic job portraying a mother living with OCD and how life is for both the person with the disorder as well as their loved ones living them.

I truly enjoyed the twists and second-guessing that I experienced while reading this story. So many times while reading I thought I could figure out the ending, and yet Crow always had me questioning my own guesses... which was the best part - never being sure! I love unpredictability and the constant question "WHODUNIT"?

Thanks to NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Laura's husband, Ben, goes missing, and people from her past become part of her present. The plot twist is very twisted....
