The main character of the story, Pat describes her really sad and tragic time after the loss of her parents. She stays in a catholic orphanage where she experiences all sorts of traumatic events. I found too big a contrast between her life at home (really good family) and the horrors of the orphanage. The latter are too extreme on too many levels. I quickly guessed what would next happen and so till the end. This is my first book by this author. I will read a second one and see what I think of it. Nevertheless thank you for letting me read this book. |

This is a story that has a lot of potential. The storyline is worth the read, but beware, the writing is extremely amateurish and there are many errors in the text. If you can get past that, the ending is wrapped up nicely. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book to read and review. The opinions expressed here are my own. |
