This story is part romance, part reminder to continue to grow (even with anxiety) and that you are always braver than you think you are.

This is the first of the Creek Water books I have read. I really enjoyed that the narrator of this book is a woman who is suffering from anxiety (a thing I know too well of). She has secured herself a modest life and a bead store in a small town to manage her anxiety. She feels safe and secure. Little does she know that her life will be changed forever when a rock musician and his daughter come into town. They both push each other out of their comfort zones and help each other in ways they hadn’t expected. Overall, this was a cute small town romance.

I want to thank NetGalley, the author and publisher for the e-ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are honest, my own and left voluntarily.

A great read, the third in this series.

Deals with issues such as anxiety but an easy book to read.

Looking forward to the rest of this series.

This is a sweet romance. Although the heroine is older it might appeal to a y.a. Crowd. I got to page 600 and was sooooo bored with the pacing and lack of intensity between the couple that I had to let it go.

Another hit:
I couldn't stop reading this book! I loved how it drew me in and that I experienced a myriad of emotions right along with the characters. It was beautifully written with poetic descriptions and engaging dialogue.
It was fun being back in Creek Water and catching up with all of the craziness and family shenanigans, but this was more toned down than in prior books.
Both Amelia and Huck are likable, tender souls and I felt a real connection to them both from the start. This is thankfully not your usual rock star romance but more about two separate lives finding a way to meld into one. I thought it dealt with the emotional disorder aspects in a respectful and honest manner and I appreciated that the author delved into this oft overlooked area. I love stories that include children especially when it adds depth and humour as was the case with this book.
I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next book in this fabulous series.

This was super cute, and it was a fast read for sure. I did enjoy the whole rock star and normal person falling in love because that is a dream many of us share. This just did not get more stars because I thought some of the writing was a little juvenile and tedious. I just thought the way Amelia acted around Huck sometimes was someone that was like 18 rather than 34, and I just wanted more of a mature relationship. I did like how they dealt with her anxiety and made it realistic she needed treatment. This is also the third book so you will be spoiled for the first two by picking this up, but you an still read those stories to see how they begin. Overall, this is a sweet romance with a lot of interesting characters and will appeal to those who like the small town stories.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own and given freely.

Amelia is free-spirited, independent, and carefree - at least on the outside. Amelia feels like she's been living a half-life, weighed down by anxiety from something that happened to her as a child. She is set in her ways, her routines, and her small-town life - until her ultimate celebrity crush, music star Huck Wiley - shows up in Creek Water with his ten-year-old daughter. The two push Amelia to live a little more adventurously and learn what her life could be.

This third installment of the Creek Water series missed the mark for me. It was still nice to feel the familiarity with the characters in this world, but I had a lot of trouble getting behind this one.

I loved Amelia and Maggie finding each other - having another person understand their anxieties and being there for one another. Their relationship was great, and Huck's bond with his daughter made him all the more attractive as a love interest.

Something about Amelia felt forced - maybe its because the previous two books centered around girls who had been living in New York City - but the southern charm felt over the top and awkward here.

I found that I didn't really like Amelia - she overreacted and jumped to conclusions way too quickly and came across as a bit crazy. I spent a lot of time being confused as to why she was upset or felt like Huck owed her more than he was giving her.

Thank you to NetGalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review!

A romance fantasy with an interesting plot. Famous rock star legend Huck Wiley and his daughter Maggie temporarily move to small town Creek Water where they meet local girl Amelia, her family and friends. Of course they fall for each other, it’s a romance, but what brings extra attention to this novel and makes it special is Amelia and Maggie both suffer from crippling anxiety. It’s a subject you don’t read about enough, and this novel treats chronic anxiety with kindness, compassion and tips to effectively live with it in your daily life. This added layer elevates The Plan to so much more than boy meets girl etc.
