Love this series. Its summer in west Virginia. Winnie is hosting a wedding. When there is an accident and someone is killed. Winnie sets out to find the killer. To hear more reas the book.

Pulp Friction was a good cozy, and a nice followup to the first book of the series. I really like the character of Winnie, and there are also some great secondary characters. The setting of the orchard and cider shop in West Virgina makes a great backdrop for the book.

In this book, a wedding is held at the orchard, but shortly afterwards, the groom is found dead. Winnie's ex, Hank, is the main suspect, so she is determined to figure out the real killer.

The storyline in this one was entertaining, and it kept my interest. I am really loving the character of Sheriff Colton Wise, and like the direction he and Winnie seem to be headed.

This is the 2nd book in this series and it was just as engaging as the 1st. The author does a really good job with the storyline and the characters are developing nicely. I'm looking forward to more in this series.

Pulp Friction by Julie Anne Lindsey is the second book in Ms. Lindsey's Cider Shop cozy mystery series and was an engaging story.

Winnie's Cider Shop has become a popular destination for residents of Blossom Valley. Tourists who come for Smythe Orchards tours also enjoy the cider and sweet treats which has helped Winnie and her grandmother to become financially solvent. I like all of the characters that have been introduced in this series and find them to be relatable. I really appreciated the insight that Ms. Lindsey gave us into Sheriff Wise's past in this book. He intrigued me in the first book because of his stoic demeanor.

The plot moves swiftly with few suspects, plenty of red herrings and several twists that kept me turning the pages until the heart pounding reveal. Oh, and the end has me hooked for the next book in the series.

The 2nd of Cider Shop mystery series. Winona Mae Montgomery and her Granny run Smythe Orchards and Winnie has opened a new cider shop in their historic barn and is hosting her first event the Sawyer wedding. The event is underway and everyone seems to be having fun but Winnie sees Hank her ex-fiancé arguing with the groom. Later Winnie sees Hank leaving in his truck and then there is a scream by the bride. The groom is found dead and he has been run over by the honeymoon truck. Sheriff Colton Wise and the deputies of Blossom Valley talk to all the guests and take their statements. The bride Elsie is not speaking as she is in shock. Winnie tries to get a hold of Hank to find out where he is and what he knows but he is no where to be found. He is on the run. Hank’s sister Gina begs Winnie to help find Hank. They go to his house and find emails between him and one of the bridesmaids. Is Sarah the key to this mystery. Winnie and Dot hike to an old cabin she remembers is in Hank’s family and it appears he has been there but then they are shot at. Colton tells Winnie to stop and to stay out of this. She tries but then Hank shows up at her house. He disappears again before she can get him to turn himself in. Winnie ultimately figures it out but not without almost getting killed. This a fast paced mystery and there are so many options for the killer. Love all the secondary characters especially Granny and Delilah. The relationship between Colton and Winnie is moving nicely and I can’t wait to their romance unfold. There is a teaser of danger to the two of them from Colton’s past so I can’t wait for the next installment. It can’t come soon enough. Love this series.

After enjoying the first book in this series, I was looking forward to jumping into this one and the author doesn't disappoint. Plenty of twist and turns to keep it interesting, well done plot and well written characters that are progressing nicely.

I loved this book set in WV and only to find that it is set in the county I live in. Winnie is the amateur sleuth in this series and she is always right in the thick of things. Winnie lives with her grandmother and helps her run Blossom Valley Orchard and Winnie makes ciders. The murders happen on their property. This time it involved the groom being killed at this wedding reception. . You must read this book to see who did it. It is a GOOD READ.

Winnie Mae lives with Granny grandmother, known to all as Granny Smythe.
The opening of the cider shop has been helpful in keeping th orchard out of debt, and the Sawyer wedding is just the type of event Winnie is looking to attract.
Unfortunately, Winnie doesn't plan on being involved in another murder investigation, and when she discovers her ex boyfriend Hank may be involved, Winnie doesn't stop until she gets the answers she's looking for.

This is a great start to a series, and the characters have become increasingly appealing.
They all blend well together, making it a very pleasant story to follow. I enjoyed the twist of events that led up to the reveal, and all the animals named Kenny Rogers had me laughing.
I'm really excited to see what happens next with Winnie and the residents of Blossom Valley.

Winnie Montgomery and her Granny Smythe have a handle on the debt they were dealing with in the prior book. Thanks to the sale of her grandfather’s classic car collection, Winnie was even able to open a cider shop on the property of her family’s orchards in Blossom Valley, Virginia. Winnie was delighted to host a wedding as her very first event. The couple even invited the locals. This is great until Winnie’s ex, Hank, gets into a very public disagreement with the groom. When the groom is found dead shortly after the argument, Hank becomes the primary suspect. Instead of acting reasonably, Hank runs away. Now, Winnie has both to find Hank and to prove that, despite his guilty behavior, Hank isn’t the killer.

I liked this book as well as the first book in the series. I recommend this book to fans of the first book in the series. I recommend this series to fans of Julie Anne Lindsey and to fans of cozy murder mysteries featuring farms, small towns, quirky animals, wise and sassy elders, and rural settings.

Pulp Friction by Julie Anne Lindsey is the second book in the excellent Cider Shop Mystery series based in rural West Virginia. I absolutely loved the first book, Apple Cider Slaying, so I was so excited to be able to read the second. Being from WV, I love to read about cities and areas that I know so well. It really connects me to the characters.

I love all of the characters on Blossom Valley, WV. Winnie is an awesome female protagonist. She is smart, independent, loyal, and just a good person. Somehow she continues to be thrust into scenarios beyond her control, however she does a great job at getting to the bottom of it all. I love the secondary characters, the chemistry with Colton, and the array of animals that make their appearances.

I liked the murder/mystery plot and did not figure out the culprit until the end. The final ending left for a nice continuation for the next book. Yay!
