This was completely beyond what I expected. I requested the ARC on a whim on the description and cover. I enjoyed it so much more. I find it hard to talk about this book without a million spoilers. I would highly recommend reading it if you have even the faintest interest upon reading the description.

When We Vanished takes you for a wild ride with interesting commentary on GMO foods and giant food corporations, while also exploring the nuances of family with interesting nods to Persian culture. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and look forward to more.

I really enjoyed this book! The storyline was interesting, the characters were well thought out and the change in perspectives really benefitted the urgency. What I liked most was that there was an overarching theme without being too preach-y. The only part that took me out was that Dr. Snyder was very quick to trust Andi. It was essential to move the story along, but it just felt a step too easy. I have a soft spot for Roya and hope we can continue to hear about her adventures!
