Her Seafaring Scoundrel
Series: The Crawfords, 3rd book
Rating: 5 stars

Thank you to the publisher for the ARC given through NetGalley for an honest review.

This was a great story! I have not read the previous two books in the series but it was not a problem when reading this one. Characters from the previous books appear but it easy to understand who they are to our two main characters.
This is a story of friends to lovers and marriage of convenience between Captain Devlin Crawford and Lady Cassandra. I loved Devlin! He was such a great character and had so much patience with Cassandra, since she was having a difficult time letting go of her feelings of guilt about what happened 13 years ago. He has such a big heart and I loved the relationship he had with Penelope, Cass' daughter. She would side with Devlin to help him out with her mom. It took him a while for Cassandra to finally admit that she had feelings for him and to not feel guilty about it. When certain truths came out, their relationship was put to the test, but in the end honesty and love helped them overcome these troubled times.
I enjoyed the epilogue. It was very sweet to see them still enjoying their HEA after some years.

This Devlin and Cassandra’s story. Devlin is last of the Crawford triplets. He has used his love of the sea and being the captain of his own ship to escape his demons. He is home for a visit. He promises his mother that he would dance with a single lady at the ball. He dances with Lady Cassandra who had a baby out of wedlock because her fiancée died on the way to their wedding. Devlin hears talk disparaging Cassandra. He steps in and says he is marrying Lady Cassandra. Cassandra doesn’t want to marry because she promised to always be loyal to her dead fiancé. Devlin talks her into it. Once they marry he takes Cassandra and her daughter away for a long voyage. There are many twists and turns in the story. It was a page turner. I can’t wait for Sophie Barnes next book.

A sea captain who does not wish to marry (Devlin) and a disgraced lady (Cassandra) who feels she can not marry. The story-telling that leads to their HEA is great. I enjoyed this final book in the Crawfords series. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

Wow! This book was amazing. I loved it from beginning to end. The many turns and emotional rides that I was taking with Devlin and Cassandra was powerful. I did not expect the story to take a sharp turn like this. The writer threw a curve ball that came out of nowhere.
After Devlin and Cassandra over come so much, the news that he’s about to to tell her, even I think there is no coming back from. From the beginning Devlin shows Cassandra how much love that he has for her and her daughter. My heart melted and I wanted to cry on a few occasions. I mean, during that era and time, I’m sure that it was hard for your intended to except someone else’s child as yours. The voyage on the boat was well written.
As I read each chapter, I visualized it as if I was there, those parts where well written. I loved the characters. The banter between Devlin and Cassandra was on point. The flow of the book was great. I do not have to say wait, what happened or go back a few pages.
My fellow readers, I recommend this book to read.

Loved this easy read love story!
Devlin is a sea captain, sailing for nine months at a time. He returns home for a months time to see his family and reload the ship. On his last trip home, his mother manipulates him into dancing at a family ball. He decides to dance with Cassandra, a family friend who had a child out of wedlock 13 years prior. While gossip starts to fly, and ugly insults are hurled, Dev finds himself declaring he is engaged to Cass, of course she doesn't know about the upcoming wedding.
Can the two find a way to overcome their past ghosts, love one another, and live happily ever after?
I loved the characters, plot and easy flow of the story.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was a really fun read! Exactly what someone would expect from a historical romance.
Devlin was a great guy and I really enjoyed how he teased Cassandra and helped her be more lighthearted. The way he welcomed her daughter and all the orphans was also very impressive. Cassandra showed a lot of growth as a character. I loved reading about her overcoming all her issues. I wish there had been more descriptions of the places they visited. I think the sea voyage aspect could have been better developed. Overall this was a lovely book and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the historical romance genre.
