I’ve been reading this series since 2013 and Tiffany still manages to knock me off my feet. This was one different than the others, TR was able to carefully weave real life logic and the current turmoil surrounding the Catholic Church with our beloved trio. People finally had to answer to their what if’s. Fionn is still a subject I’d rather not discuss but I’m glad Soren knows the impact of his decisions. I’m anxious for the next installment. I hope there’s one, I will never tire reading these characters.

This book was intensely twisted.
WOW! Author Tiffany Reisz never disappoints. I love this book.
Full of mystery and my favorite characters.
I just loved everything about this book and could not put it down. I read it all in one sitting because I needed to know what was going to happen next.
A Must read book.

Oh my crushed heart... I finally read this book in June and it took me months to process it. I loved it. Buy this book now. This is not a standalone. When it comes to moving, emotional and twisted love, Ms. Reisz is a maestro. She plays with my emotions so well and my song of lament is wailing and pitiful as I sob my way through the last half of this story.

I absolutely loved the stunning conclusion to this series. When it comes to one of the best erotic series written, Ms. Reisz's Original Sinner series is in the top 3 for me. Every single one of her stories in this world she's created is amazing. She blindsides me more oft than not and I hurt so badly for the characters.

Will Nora and Søren ever get their happily ever after? I really thought they had it. Nora is submissive to both Søren and Kingsley and yet she can switch and domme Kingsley if need be... as well as be the lover to Kingsley's son. Yeah, don't ask, just go with the flow. Still, it seems as if everything is well balanced until a priest commits suicide and has a card, an old business card of Nora's.

I'm baffled and wonder if we are entering the suspense genre. Perhaps this will take us in a new direction of murder mysteries with a kink? No, I am quickly disabused of this conjecture as about half way through the book, the foreshadowing of a "witch" makes me super nervous. The dread is now congregating like a big rock in the pit of my stomach. Because losing Søren would just slay me.

When the mystery is solved, I'm all over the place with messy emotions. The damage done between Nora and Søren is heartbreaking. I understand Nora's perspective, I really do. But I feel like Søren has done everything he could with this very headstrong teenage Nora. A Nora who needs to take ownership of her own action and her decisions. She chased after Søren even after he did as much as he could to allow her to grow up. I feel like Nora is being unfair to Søren and yet I can understand her questioning. Sometimes in life, there are no good answers and people get hurt. Viewing history can change a person's perspective even if they were in the thick of things when the events occurred.

When it comes to the erotic aspect... wow. The BDSM is intense and amazing. To have a kink relationship with Søren is going full in with no safety rails or net. I love it. Everything about Søren is amazing for me. His intelligence, his sexuality, his empathy and his discipline are all out of this world.

Is this the end for these much loved characters? I am not sure. The ending is bittersweet as is with most of Ms. Reisz's novels. I hope we still receive a spin-off standalone or little novellas returning to see how life is after all of this. This BDSM erotic novel is highly recommended to readers who love to be emotionally engage and adore rough sex.

Such an amazing book. Reisz does not disappoint. I have a few issues with this story though. Idk if it was the authors intention, but this story turned me against a character and it breaks my heart. I hope that alone tells you how amazing this is. Like all other books in this series: 10/10

Tiffany Reisz is back with another Original Sinners book! THE PRIEST marks book nine in the series and I would read the series in order. Although this reads fine as a standalone, you wouldn’t know the context and history of the characters in the book.

I’ve noticed that Reisz has gone for a different tone in this book. THE PRIEST has a bigger emphasis on a murder mystery. As a lover of Mysteries, I was really intrigued by this concept. At the beginning of the book, a priest is dead and it is believed to be a suicide. However, Nora is the last person who was in contact with the priest, so they want to know what happened.

I felt like Reisz was trying hard to make this book more interesting with the mystery. I liked it, but also felt like it was kind of out of place in some areas. I still don’t really know how I feel about it. I think for some people who don’t normally read Mysteries, then this might be enough for them to enjoy. But since I read a lot of them already, something about this one just didn’t click fully for me. Nevertheless, I do applaud the author for trying something new.

A lot of the characters are still present in this book. The character that I was most excited about is Kingsley obviously. He’s my favorite character of the series and to be honest, I wish there was more scenes with him. I could read about him all day. He’s just so fascinating to me.

I enjoyed the fact that Reisz has returned to this world and I’m hoping that more books will come from this series, especially if they center around Kingsley! Please write more books about him!

Wow
I started this journey never expecting to end up here. This book was everything I have come to love about the Original Sinners, funny, sexy, squirmy, beautiful, caring, loving, and beautiful.. This book really reminded me why I have loved Tiffany Reisz’s books for all this time. And why Nora is still my favorite heroine ever. I don’t think I can fully share my feelings on this book without spoilers, so I will share what I can.

Every time TR attempts to write about Soren I find she writes more about Nora and vice versa. This book is a changing point for the series. This was the first book that really didn’t focus on kink as much as on real social issues. I applaud TR for taking on the issues of race the way she did, and other very serious but often hidden topics.

Further, I think this was the first time I have ever seen Søren as a human, before this is was so much more, but now I see him as a fallen heavenly creature who has come to earth and been marred by all that is here. Nora was absolutely fantastic in this book, I think she just shows so much of what I feel but often don't have the words or courage to say. I know that we are a kindred spirit, and many that why I have loved this story so much and for so long. I have truly grown to love her for woman she continues to become.

I think that all the major characters are going through serious changes, and I’m not sure where TR is going with this, but I know that the journey ahead will be difficult, but it will also be fun and sexy and absolutely heartbreaking.

If you are a fan of Tiffany Reisz' previous works, this title won't disappoint. Author's writing is superb and even though this installment is a lot milder when it comes to kink, it's still full of passion. Can be read as standalone (I haven't read books 6 through 8 and wasn't lost).

I was BLOWN away at how quickly I got hooked! A priest's death. A dominatrix. A detective. Murder mystery the best I've seen in a long while.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Tiffany Reisz is not a new to me author. However that said I haven’t read any of the original sinners series before. Since this is book 9 of the series I appreciated the recap of important events. It was a twisted, heart wrenching, emotional journey that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you to the Publisher and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

***I received an ebook copy from the author at no cost***

The Priest is the latest in Tiffany Reisz's Original Sinners series. (I can't believe we're at 9 books so far!!) This book takes a departure from what I've come to expect from Reisz, especially with these stories.

Reisz takes the sinners cast down to New Orleans in The Priest. This may seem weird to some but I personally think it's a perfect city for this cast of characters. There's an air of mystery in NOLA that doesn't exist in other places, and it fits well with them. Søren, the protagonist that I've always had a bit of a love/hate relationship with, is a father now, and this has led to his suspension from the Jesuits. Now he finds himself stuck between a proverbial rock and hard place as he contemplates what he wants more: to return to the Jesuits or to be a father.

Although the book highlights the internal struggles of Søren and changes in Nora's world, there's a mystery to solve, which is different from most of the other books. I enjoyed this addition and Reisz didn't disappoint, but kept me on my toes with the turn of every page.

Søren may be the focal point of this book but I personally fell in love with Nora's storyline. She finds a piece of herself and embarks on this unexpected path of self-discovery. And personally, I can't think of a better setting for this to take place than in NOLA. I adore Nora even more after reading this and she's that much more relatable as well.

I was a bit sad that we didn't get to see much of Kingsley in this one, because he's my favorite, but I trust that we'll get plenty of him in upcoming novels.

This story seems t have left Sinners fans with mixed emotions but, in my opinion, you must read it if you've been following the series this far. It fits in nicely and advances the series to a new level.

Five stars to this novel!

Listen, y'all.

I.

Was.

NOT.

Prepared.

I thought I was. I wasn't.

Tiffany Reisz got with me with the title and I went into The Priest thinking I knew what was going on and I really didn't.

First of all the opening scene had my full attention. It absolutely grabbed me and insisted that this not be a slow read for me. I picked this book up every chance I had--using it as a reward to motivate me to get work done so that I could continue to read.

The story of Cyrus and his investigation to the suicide of a priest was such a nice pairing to the story of Soren and Nora. The contrasts and parallels that were made as the mystery deepened and then was solved just enhanced every aspect of my reading. Cyrus had some funny and poignant observations and was a good foil for Nora and Soren. And, Nora was a good influence (!) on Cyrus. I really enjoyed the pairing of the storyline and characters.

And I return to where I started--I wasn't prepared for the emotional feelings I had, especially near the end. I'm not sure if it only what was happening between these characters or that I have no idea if or when we'll see a continuation of the story of our Original Sinners. All I know is that I've spent the last few weeks in their world (reading The King, The Queen, and now The Priest) and I don't want them to be over yet. *sad face*

Truly a fantastic read from start to finish and one, I hope, that is opening the door for new characters and books in this series.

PS-As a New Orleanian, I'm HERE for these characters being in New Orleans and Tiffany Reisz doing New Orleans right!

This is the first book that I have read in The Original Sinners series. I felt that it can be read as a standalone, it was easy to get into, but I knew that there was so much that I was missing from not reading the previous books.
With all that being said, I liked the story but found it to be to long. I just kept waiting for something to happen but every chapter was so drawn out.

I have to start out by saying I haven't read the Sinner's Series, but now I know I need to! The Priest by Tiffany Reisz is dark and mysterious. She has another beautifully written dark erotic romance. It will keep you in suspense and wanting more!

This is everything i wanted in a book- mystery, new characters and well, Soren and Mistress Nora.
I've read it twice now, the book and on audible - both are excellent. Would and have recommended to others!

I absolutely loved this book! I loved seeing Nora and the gang out of New England and in the mysterious, but no less bewitching New Orleans. The Priest also dealt with The Original Sinners' elephant in the room (Soren's early treatment of Nora and the parallels between them and clergy abuse) in a way that was tactful and mindful of Nora's growth as a character. These characters have come a long way, but it's clear that they still have a ways to go—and I can't wait for more stories!

Cyrus Tremont is a private investigator who had a very intense life in the past. He has reformed and is engaged to a sweet woman named Pauline. One day Cyrus receives a call to investigate a little more about the alleged suicide of a famous priest in New Orleans. This is not the kind of investigation he usually does, but he accepts at the request of his girlfriend.

Cyrus does not know that this case will lead him to take a look at a world full of mysteries, sins and very interesting characters like The Mistress Nora, The Viking

What would happen when a bad boy reformed meets a dominatrix to investigate the death of a priest with a secret? You’ll see.

MY IMPRESSIONS
According to the synopsis of The Priest, despite being part of the series The Original Sinners is the perfect book to approach Tiffany Reisz because it is partly standalone. Since it was a mystery, I decided to give it a try. Tiffany is the favorite author of my good friend Angy, who has always wanted me to read all the books in the series as the good fangirl that she is, but even though BDSM is a genre that I like, Reisz has always intimidated me.

The Priest is almost perfect, although I can’t explain why it’s not perfect. The story of Father Ike and the mysteries that surround him involve you from the first page, the sin committed by the priest is the one you’re thinking about, however, Tiffany raises it from a very interesting perspective and accompanies it with a feminist struggle that I had not thought of until this moment.

The relationship between Nora, Søren and King is very interesting and kinky, which obviously made me interested in exploring the rest of the series.

I loved the friendship that develops between Nora and Cyrus, their sense of humour is great and they made me laugh several times. It’s definitely a good book to approach Reisz’s series.

“If the day comes when I can’t give you anything, at least here, now, I can give you everything”

“I will never leave you,” she said.

He nodded solemny. “Now that’s all I wanted to hear.”

My rate is 4.5 intense stars because The Priest is a book full of mysteries, sins, sensuality, brilliantly written by Tiffany Reisz.

Brilliant! Tiffany Reisz is my unicorn for a reason. All the stars in the world.
Loved everything about this book.

I'd like to thank to the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

I never know what to expect from a Reisz novel, especially one in the Original Sinners world. And I mean that in a good way! Reisz always throws in an interesting plot twist or new character or plot line, all while maintaining the world and character consistency that we expect and love about this series. The Priest tackled some hard issues, and certainly ones that many longtime readers have wrestled with from the start. While I can see why this particular story had to be told from the POV of a new character, I still missed having Nora, Kingsley, and Soren's voices and fun interactions. The Priest was definitely not my favorite book, but I still enjoyed the journey. I'd say this one fell somewhere between 3 1/2 and 4 stars. I still look forward to whatever other tales we can expect from this world.
