This book was okay, but not great It is a story of love and loss and recovery over despair. It had a lot of country music lyrics in it - maybe too much.

Truly a good book on loss and picking yourself up and starting over. I recommend this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through Net Galley. I was not required to write a positive review. All of the opinions expressed are my own.

Too much in this book just didn’t make sense. She speaks about how her life has been so horrible and how much she has lost. Try living a real life because this was just a “poor pitiful me” story.

I have mixed feelings about this book. While the premise of the story is good, there were many things that didn't quite make sense to me (or could have been better developed). The pacing of the story at times was somewhat hard to follow and there were times when there was too much time spent on minor details. such as the hospital details of explaining medical terms when there were times when character's feelings weren't fully explained (like Bryce).

Overall, it was still a good story and ultimately I was glad Ryleigh could move on with her life with a chance to love again.

Nope. Just nope. I had a hard time following the thoughts and dialogue from one character to the next. Couldn't keep up. Shame because I had such high hopes for this from the description. I'll refrain from posting my review on goodreads just because it might be exactly what someone else is looking for.

I would like to thank NetGalley for an ARC of this book. I do not know how to feel about this book. It was sometimes hard to follow due to the fact that both the character's thoughts or dialogue were in one paragraph. There was no spacing to distinguish who was speaking at that time. There were also a lot of grammar errors, and that drove me crazy. Words were out of order or missing. There also seemed to be no separation of time at certain points in the book. One sentence she was laying in bed, the next line it's the middle of the day. This happened a lot!

But anyway, the story was okay. I felt that there were a lot of things that didn't need to be included and there were things that needed to be included and it's like the author just suddenly forgot to add them. Like Mark, what happened with him? It was mentioned that he would always be there for her, and then he just disappeared. Also, in my opinion, and I know this is only a book, Ryleigh should have never told EVERYONE in her life that she was pregnant the second she thought she was. That really bothered me.

The story of Ryleigh and Bryce was unrealistic and hard to sit through. Bryce was still obsessed with talking about his ex, and Ryleigh just sat there and let him. Also, they would go days without talking or seeing each other? She didn't catch on that he was with someone else? It was beyond obvious. Bryce also had a drinking problem, he mentioned that he used to drink too much, but when he was with Ryleigh he drank a lot and then jokingly accused her of letting him drink too much. I didn't like that either. Bryce seemed shy and standoffish. It was almost to a creepy level. He asked multiple times if she would cheat on him, or if she was real. He mentioned having kids with her and marrying her but yet wouldn't state his true feelings. One question I have is, she never worked, so how did she afford her apartment and truck? She always talked about applying or jobs or filling out paperwork, but then she went back home for a week and it was never talked about again!

I gave this book a chance and just didn't like it.

This book is so heartwrenching! It is a story of love and loss and is written in such a believable way you will actually feel the pain. I kept hoping it would end in a happily ever after but it didn't. This author definitely has a gift for making the reader.feel what the characters are feeling. Great writing, I highly recommend.

This was an amazing read that tackles love and strength. Our main character Ryleigh Carter is such a strong woman and I love when women are written as strong characters that overcome difficulties in their lives. The book was written well and the story was well-paced and kept me intrigued to learn more about our main character. I highly recommend this book. I will definitely be reading Katt Rose's other works. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me a copy.

Well written book, you can feel the pain that she is going through,a good description of her journey to self recovery, however I felt that the first chapter focused on all the pain and treatment and not with the story, but I perserved with it and made the book worth while.

This emotional journey was extremely well written. The author made the reader feel the pain that Ryleigh experienced, which made it a much better read. I was so emotionally invested in Ryleigh that I read this in one sitting. I highly recommend it!
