Will Trent and his partner are visiting the the state prison to question a prisoner who was accused of a ghastly attack nearly a decade before. A new attack, identical to the one the man was sent away for, has been committed. Was the wrong man convicted? Will has to suss out the truth to stop a killer and he’ll need the help of his lover, medical examiner Sara Linton to do it. Slaughter’s stories are so good because she’s able to balance her mysteries with the personal and emotional lives of her characters, bringing her stories to life

Karin Slaughter keeps writing books that completely draw me in. Her characters are real, flawed, courageous, and believable. I cannot wait to recommend this book to every single book friend!
