The third book in the trilogy. Moody Baboon is still moody and doesn't seem to have learnt his lesson in the first 2 adventures. Hopefully he will now, as the animals all learn to think big!

I loved all the new animals in this latest installment of Kat Kronenberg's children's books. As with the first two, beautiful illustrations and great feel-good messages/themes for kids make for a delightful story time.

Think Big continues the story of animals in the savanna and the life lessons they learn. The illustrations are beautiful, bright and fun. As always, there is an important self-esteem lesson woven into the story. An adult will be needed to explain the concept to help children, especially the younger ones, understand it. I especially like the extension activities and notes at the end of each book.

While I respect the overarching theme of the story and it’s intent, I wasn’t crazy about this book. It barely held my attention as a grown woman. And my son had an even harder time with it.

Think Big is a unique read full of whimsy and animals!

The copy I received had barely any pictures, which kind of shocked me since it was marketed to me as a picture book. I'm wondering if my device didn't download it correctly since other reviews have talked about how beautiful the pictures were! The cover is gorgeous, so I expected that within the book as well. Nonetheless, the story is very unique! The main theme appears to be believe in yourself and think big, then you can do anything!

The prose is also different, but that can be a good thing. It stands out among other books I've read lately. I was curious why the prose was presented the way it was, but it doesn't affect the story too much. It's just a more imaginative style of writing.

Overall, this story was nice and something different.

Two out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Greenleaf Book Group Press for providing me with a digital copy of this book to review.

Bright artwork catches readers attention, and the story premise is a good lesson in being your best self. The story is quite repetitive, and is better for an older audience.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

This is the second book by Kat Kronenberg that I have recently read, and I loved it just as much as the first one I read - Dream Big.

This book is so beautifully illustrated and is told as a fable about having faith in yourself and believing in yourself.
The book teaches information in small print at the bottom of pages, about the animals in the story.
These books teach children valuable life lessons and skills and are a fantastic addition to any library.

Set in the African savanna, this book demonstrates the power of positive thinking and helping others. The illustrations are beautifully done. There are even hidden messages for children to find. The animals inspire each other and they all benefit by working together.

Think Big has such a positive message and illustrates a wonderful picture in your head. I read this to my 8 year old and while I fully understood the message, I believe that my daughter did not until I explained it to her in more depth. It is a good short story and we really enjoyed the characters, especially Giraffe! Thank you NetGalley for my ARC!

Think Big is a beautiful story with a really wonderful message. We adapt to overcome obstacles and to help others. The vibrant illustrations were very eye-catching, and I like the additional information in the back of the book as well - to really get some in=depth information about the lessons being taught. It's too long to hold the attention of younger kids, and the fire and fear is pretty intense for them as well. I'd suggest a grade-school age to really enjoy and get the most out of this fun book.

Good colorful illustrations. But not my kind book.Very preachy and unrealistic.I think the children of this generation can do better with truth then make believe stories.

I didn’t mind the concept with you can change your situation with how you approach it. What I really liked was all activities and information in the back. Lots of good ideas for extended learning.

This book a beautiful illustrations and a really positive message for young kids about reaching inside and being able to achieve the impossible. I would love to hear this book read aloud by the narrator to see how the songs should flow and the cadence of narration!

I'm not sure what to make of this book. The illustrations are beautiful but the prose doesn't make a whole lot of sense for a small child. I understand the message as an adult, to do your best and never give up however I don't know what age group that this would be aimed towards. I wouldn't be able to recommend it, the language is too vague.

thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I see that the publication is already past but Amazon won't allow me to publish a review. Is the publication date delayed perhaps?

If your reader is younger, they may skip ahead for the pictures. Kat Kronenberg has a solid message to Think Big, but at some points the illustrations seem bigger than the words. The fire and panic play out strongly in this picture book and, without the words, you can understand the whole story of an entire community coming together in crisis. When you add her text, it makes a valiant attempt to conceptualize that idea for children but it adds too much weight.

Kudu and the other animals in the East African savanna are having a petty squabble with a bossy baboon, when their lives are suddenly endangered by a thunderstorm that ignites their land on fire and forces them to band together to survive. Each animal appears to play a major part, but Kudu is the main character. At first Kudu is brave, leaping into fire to save friends, but he falls and gives in to self-pity. His friends step up for him, displaying everyday heroism through small gestures, inspiring him to continue to fight. But it might be too late.

The text is best tailored to readers 8+, as it has long text and larger words. If the reader is easily dis tractable, the fire will be more appealing than the characters. For the artful eye, you will notice that Kudu's horns are missing in the first two pages where he is seen, then they are pictured later in the text. The better of the illustrations are the smaller bubbles vs the full pages, except the full pages with fire. Those are immersive and nicely done. Overall, I enjoyed the message but the delivery isn't for the youngest of hearts.

I loved this book! The story was fantastic, the activities to tie the book in were amazing, and the language made for such a great story! I love that there are sounds you can make to keep the kid's attention if reading to a child. I also love the facts about each of the characters to add some additional learning. I can't wait to order this book and be able to use it in my library!

This was a great book to read as a family, the graphics were gorgeous, we were able to learn information about specific animals in the book and taught us many things. I enjoyed the themes being friendship, kindness and helping others when you are down. A great book for young readers teaching them important life values that you need to know in day to day life. Always believe in yourself.

Asked my three year old What was your favorite part : when the giraffes neck got so big

Asked my 2 year old her favorite part: fire!

I thought the overall message of this book was great, but I do not think it was executed very well. I think it would be hard for children to follow. I did however love the illustrations.

Beautiful illustrations and overall uplifting story. The story and dialogue are a bit clunky and don't always make sense, but the overall moral is very positive, encouraging everyone to embrace their gifts and help others. This is likely aimed for Christian parents with young children. The book and questions at the end will certainly spark conversation about what each of us can do to help others.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC!

I read this book with my six year old daughter. We really liked the illustrations, but the story wasn’t for us. We liked how the book had the animals learn how to be confident and help each other out when they were in danger, but it was written kind of clunky.

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC for my honest review!
