I wasn't keen on this book. It didn't read brilliantly and I found myself getting lost, bored and at the same time freaked out and grossed out. It's strange. Not for me at all.

When I started reading this book the other night I thought the writing was quite juvenile and the book had so many unnecessary descriptions. It wasn't until the following day when I added the book to my goodreads that I found out the author was 14 when he started to write it, and was 16 when it was published. I hate to say it, but it made a lot of sense.

I decided to continue on with the book for another couple of chapters, but the writing was just not for me. I also, personally, felt uncomfortable reading the setting and some scenes knowing the age of the author.

DNF one star.

this was a whirlwind of abuse and rape and manipulation and way too many plot twists. i didn't expect this to be fun, but it was too much for me to deal with. i guess it's just not my cup of tea.
