I was very excited when my wish was granted for this galley, but I think because it is a proof copy the patterns were too close together. These patterns are pretty advanced, so the clunkiness overwhelmed me, and I could not get myself to want to actually crochet a project. For me, a craft book has to persuade me to create something from it, and that usually works through great photography and/or clean and easy to read instructions. This galley doesn't have the cleanliness I was looking for, but again, I'm sure it will look better in the finished copy.

With that being said, these patterns look amazing. As an amigurumi artist of 10 years, I love patterns with more advanced shapes and tiny details. I'm particularly impressed with the shaping of each doll's body. I would love to create my own Betty some day!

I was blown away by how much detail and care has gone into creating the book, not only by the quality of the images but by the simple but well put together instructions to create each project within the book. Being new to Crocheting I found a couple of projects to give a go. Will definitely be looking out for more craft books by Cara.
