We’ve all experienced times of loss; we live in a broken, fallen world. The preface is very helpful in explaining the importance of this collection of prayers. In times of loss, grief and pain, prayer can become a struggle. However, prayer is what keeps us rooted to the Vine and is essential, even when we don’t know what to say. The prayers are written in very simple language, perfect for guiding those who cannot find their words. I can also see where these prayers would be an excellent guide when someone feels like they are just going through the motions and praying out of faithfulness. The contents are listed out topically, making for a quick reference guide.
