The lovely cover was what first stood out to me about this book - Praying Your Way To Peace:200 Inspiring Prayers for a Woman's Heart by Donna K. Maltese.

Overall an inspiring collection of prayers and scriptures are contained within.
It would make a nice gift for Mother's Day, Birthday, or other special occasion.

***Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the digital ARC of this book. All views and opinions expressed in this review are my own.***

The prayers in this book are heart-touching, personal, and apply so well to situations we are facing today. I liked the daily scripture selections that accompany the prayers. This book is not a deep study, as the readings and prayers are shorter and take only a few minutes to read. This would be a great book for reading at the very start of the day to quickly get your heart and mind aligned with God’s Word, and experience the peace that comes from trusting Him with your day. This would also be a thoughtful gift for any occasion.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

"Today, Lord, I pray for the people of the world to heed Jesus' greatest commandments. To love You with all their heart, soul, and mind, and to love their neighbours as they love themselves. For, Lord, if everyone in the world loved You above all things and others as well as themselves, there would be no wars or crimes. People would be looking out for each other, helping each other, taking care of each other – and loving You. Along with praying for others to love, I ask You, Lord, to help me to love others - beginning with You. To do so gladly and with my entire being. Help me to love myself, which can be difficult at times, so that I can learn how to love others. In Jesus' name, [I pray]. Amen"

The beautiful cover and title attracted me to the book - Praying Your Way To Peace:200 Inspiring Prayers for a Woman's Heart by Donna K. Maltese. In these troubling days of COVID19, isolation, death, social and physical distancing, we are very aware of needing peace in our lives.
A thought provoking Scripture selection precedes each of the 200 heartfelt prayers. There is a Scripture Index at the end which lists the Biblical references. In my Kindle version I would appreciate being able to see the Scripture reference with the verse.
An inspiring collection of prayers are in this devotional book.
***My thanks to Barbour Publishing, Inc., and NetGalley for the opportunity to read a digital advance readers copy of this book, which enables me to write my unbiased thoughts and opinions in this review.

This book has given me so much understanding and inspiration. It gave me a clear vision and meaning to the many verses of the bible. I started off reading just a night. I have never limited myself to the time I pray so I decided to read this book all day long. The peace that the word of God brings me is remarkable. I've been able to understand the verses better and I even share with my family and friends God's promises. I have already ordered several copies to bless others with.

If you're a fan of devotional books, this is a good one to add to your collection, especially with all that's currently going on around the world, when peace may seem hard to come by. The layout is simple and similar to other devotional books I've read. I enjoyed the Scripture index.

“My peace I leave with you” (John 14:27) is a promise given to us by Jesus himself. Yet we so easily lose sight of this peace in the midst of our daily lives. Our chaotic souls are in need of frequent, and regular, reminders of the peace He promises. A soothing balm is offered through the gentle reminder and heartfelt collection of 200 prayers in this book. I appreciated the simple layout but felt like some of the potential impact was not achieved through the Kindle version. The Scripture Index was very helpful in leading me back to the actual Bible, but I would have enjoyed being able to see the verse location in the text as I was reading along. Nevertheless, the premise was well executed in a beautiful collection of prayers.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions offered are my own and freely given.
