What a great read. What a great book with a super premise! I loved every single word. I was rooting for the main character the whole time. I felt her ups and downs and cheered her on! Superhero characters were well thought out and defined. I hope she creates more titles with her characters. I would love to find out more about their back stories. I hope she is able to get more books with the current cast of characters she created. It is interesting to read about superhero villains. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

I received and advanced readers copy of this book through NetGalley. From the start I couldn't put this book down. It is a delightful twist on heroes and villains posing a different outlook on the norm. With plot twists aplenty, strong women and a misogynist superhero that does his best to keep them down, Hench will grab your attention and keep you up well past your bedtime. It is well written with a great vocabulary. The story is unexpected and quirky very delightful and inspiring story. I can't wait to read more books by Natalie Zina Walschots.

A very unique villains vs. heroes story. An imaginative and smart novel with a main character who is realistic in a world that is not. Anna's intelligence and humor through adversity keeps you engaged. Hoping that this is the beginning of a series.

This is a somewhat unique scifi story. Interesting characters and character development along with a good plot. You don't have to be a fan of superhero s (I'm not) to enjoy this, but I'm sure that would make it a better experience. It was fun.

I really appreciate the ARC for review!!

This novel is a fun take on the world of superheros. There's a diverse cast of characters who serve the most evil villain of all, Leviathan.

What's the difference between villains and superheroes? Not as much as you think. Anna is working as support staff for local villains. In the fight between good and evil, office politics still rule. Fun for anyone who loves comic books or The Office.

Um, what to say about this one? I suppose I didn't read the description well enough before requesting a copy. I didn't completely understand the what the main character "did", her job and why it was crucial to the book. Did she and her cohorts work for dark forces or just criminals? Current times or in the future? Not understanding (being out of touch with YA trends) left me not liking this probably good book. I regret not 'getting it' because this will likely be well received by the intended audience.

Finally something different in SciFi. Informed by the modern penchant for statistical analysis, marketing, data mining, gig economy, temp workers, and possibly influenced by the Amazon series "The Boys", Natalie Zina Walschots gives us, at last, the story of the villains and the hench folks that support their evil plans. The superheroes are revealed to not be so heroic, the villains, not so blackhearted, the support staff that make all tales of the 'supes' tick are revealed in all their glory. The characters are interesting, surprising, and completely understandable. As a reader I suspended all disbelief and went along for the wild ride. Finally, someone dares to ask (as I often do) when the superheroes do all that fighting, what happens to the cities that are razed, the civilians caught in the crossfire. Lookin at you DC and Marvel!!!!
