I did not enjoy this book. None of the characters were likeable, the premise was not what I want to read and the ending was just silly.

I really enjoyed this book. It was very fast paced, with short chapters so ideal to build the momentum. It was set over a short time scale but didn't seem to be 'rushed' at all. There is no deep insightfulness for any character, it is all told from one person's perspective. At first I found that a little strange but very soon got into this authors way of writing. Would definitely recommend it.
I was lucky enough to read this free from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest recommendation.

This was a remarkable drama that I had a great time reading. The way the writer depicted the characters will strike a chord with many of the readers, and the story will draw everybody in. Highly recommend this novel.

Gemma Rogers writes incredible page-turning novels and if you haven’t read her debut, Stalker, get it right now. That book is one that you read in a single sitting because you have to know what happens and the tension is high throughout every chapter. It would make such a great movie and I hope someone turns it into a film soon!

Payback is also very good and now her third book, Reckless is what I am currently reading and it has me experiencing all kinds of feelings. I’m angry with the main character, I feel sympathy for her, I’m worried about her, and I know things aren’t going to end well for someone…

Look at the plot:

English teacher Izzy Cole wanted a fresh start. A new town, a new home, a new school. But when sixth former Nicky Stevens sets his sights on her, he begins to reel her in at a time when she’s most vulnerable. Soon Izzy is risking her family, her career and her life as she finds Nicky wants more than she ever planned to give…

I am halfway through this book but couldn’t wait to share it with you! It’s so good and Gemma is an incredible writer, I’m in awe of how she can create a story that just keeps you tense and nervous and turning the pages from beginning to end.

This book will be published on May 12, you can pre-order here. It’s only $4.99 on Kindle which is such a deal!

Wow oh wow!! This is a fantastic book by a truly fabulous author. I have devoured this book in just one sitting. I literally haven't been able to put this one down.
I am a huge fan of this author anyway so jumped at the chance to join the blog tour. I am so excited to be able to share my review.
This is without a doubt a five star read which if I'm honest, five stars does not show how absolutely fantastic this book is.
This has gripped me from the beginning. Izzy is a likeable and respectable character. Being a teacher I could easily imagine the Nicky character, instantly he was disliked. I could just imagine the cocky arrogant swag described by the author.
As the plot has developed, I have wanted to shake Izzy and tweet the author because I was on the edge of my seat, desperate to know how this was going to play out.
I have loved the staffroom descriptions and the author has nailed what it is like with a friendly group of teachers. Interactions between Nicky and Izzy have made me feel tense and a little on edge but have really set a tone for the book.
There is no way I could've predicted how this would play out. I have definitely been kept on edge by the author. I highly recommend this book.
