4⭐️ This is the third book from the Credence, Colorado series by Ms. Amy Andrews. This is Della and Tucker's story. The blurb got me hooked that's why I signed up to read and review this one. This started very slow for me and didn't get exciting until the about 60% in. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of insta-love but I'm also not a fan of a quite drawn out love journey either—and I feel like this one is. I feel like if some of the entries are cut, this would have been a very exciting read. But it's probably just me... All in all, I did enjoy it. It's like something out of a Hallmark movie. It has a wee bit of angst but it's also sweet and sexy. |
Like Amy Andrews other Trouble novels, Asking for Trouble is a sexy romp that touches on some difficult subjects. Della returns to Credence after her brother Arlo rescues her from her abusive marriage. With three years of therapy under her belt, she finally feels that she's ready to date, but the only man who interests her is her brother's best friend Tucker...but he's pulls the bro card and is hands off. She resorts to Tinder and he becomes her "wingman", teaching her the ropes of dating, but what he really wants is her. Tucker knows what Della has been through and just wants to protect her from idiots and abusers. He does all the right things, supporting her, answering her questions, waiting for her after dates...but he can't answer he biggest question...why not him? Thank you to the author, Entangled Publishing, LLC and NetGalley for an ARC of this enjoyable novel in exchange for my honest opinion. |
Della Munroe was rescued from a disastrous marriage by her brother Arlo, she is eternally grateful to him but has moved on enough to want to spread her wings without his interference. Arlo can’t forget the woman he rescued and finds it hard to see her try dating, especially using Tinder, so is grateful to his best friend Tucker who is reluctantly helping Della navigate the shark infested waters of dating. Unfortunately Tucker has a thing for Della, but knows he’s not good enough for her, watching her test the waters is killing him and when Della asks for his help for more than the driving lessons he finds it difficult to refuse. Highly enjoyable slow burner, the want and need scorch through the pages. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. |

Asking for Trouble! Della has moved to Credence after her brother Arlo rescued her from her very abusive husband. He then fell down stair in prison and passed away. Now Della is ready to experience so much of life that she felt robbed of by her father, then husband. She decides Tinder is the best way to dip her toe in the dating pool. (Really? Pick one of the worst apps to find guys who really only want one thing!). After a bad first date, she decides Tucker (whom she’s had a crush on) her brother’s friend is perfect to help her navigate all the Tinder prospects. He knows her history, and he’s been her support as she grows following her nightmare. He is also 11 years her senior and feels drawn to Della, but he knows Arlo will not be happy with Tucker and Della becoming an item behind his back! But Della needs help learning all about sexuality since she missed all of that growing up and marrying young. Tucker and Della fall in love while he “helps” her, but they had agreed to keep their activities secret and walk away later while remaining friends! I really enjoyed all the extra characters in this book. Rosemary and Ray are hilarious, while I expect to see a book about erotic novelist Winona very soon! And Della’s best friends are such great support! And the best, Betty!! You’ll have to read this book to find out how they all fit into the story! I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely. |
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. I loved reading this book. There were some hilariously funny sections that I just had to close the e-reader down so I could finish laughing. I so loved reading Della and Tucker's story. Della had a tragic childhood and escaping her father led to further tragedy. She has been living with her new-found brother, Arlo. Arlo is the sheriff and lives in Credence, CO. (Oh how I would love to live in this town!!!!) After three years of living with Arlo and bi-monthly therapy sessions in Denver, Della is ready to get her groove back. She has developed a crush on Tucker, the hot bartender/owner of the local bar. After the abuse that she has suffered, she only wants a temporary relationship as she figures that she is too broken for marriage and children. Tucker is a childhood friend of Arlo's. Tucker knows some of the details of Della's life and has been a good friend to her. He also has developed feelings for Della but with her past and being her brother's best friend, Della is off-limits. I just became so absorbed into the story and Della's "coming" out of her shell, that the pages just flew by (except for some scenes that again were so funny that I had to stop.) This book is written in my favorite dual POV. That really helps me to connect with the characters. In this case, connecting with Della would have been hard if I didn't have a glimpse into her thoughts and feelings. I have not gone through what was her background so identifying with her would have been hard otherwise. While this is a part of a series, you do not have to read the prior stories to enjoy this one. I highly recommend this for anyone over the age of 18. |
Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews is part of a series, but is a decent standalone story. I found the story interesting, confusing and a lesson in sex. Della is a young woman who has been rescued from an abusive relationship and now as she is healing, more mentally than physical, she wants to get on with her life and get back into a sexual relationship. Decision made Della must decide how and where. Living in a small town with an overprotective brother is a deterrent and the selection process is questionable. So sitting in a local bar with friends, Della chooses to ask Clay, the bartender and friend, to help. And now the fun begins, as Clay and Della grow close with her adventures in getting a date and convincing Clay to secretly help with sex lessons. The biggest problem is Della's brother Arlo who is overprotective of her and Clay's best friend. The story comes to a satisfactory conclusion. I was pleasantly surprised how the author handles the sex, is is quite descriptive but not dirty and there's a lot of it. There's a lot more than sex involved as Della has her hang ups and Clay is quite understanding and Arlo comes to understand some things about being a big brother and best friend. Enjoy. |
I loved the 1st book in this series & the 2nd does not disappoint. It's everything you want in a book; relatable & sexy characters, laugh out loud in some places and very touching in others. With Della as the student & Tucker as the teacher this is a fun, sexy story that you don't want to miss. |
Highly entertaining, heartwarming and emotionally thrilling journey filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Really enjoyed this down home, sweetly emotional adventure.Great read from beginning to end. |

I loved this book! I love the characters in this series and loved learning Della's story. She arrived in Credence damaged and fragile from her horrific marriage that ended with her husband being arrested by her brother. Her brother then made it his mission to take care of her and provide an environment that made her feel safe so she could heal. However, as Della began to heal and thrive, she set her sights on Tucker, her brother's best friend. A serious violation of the bro-code, Tucker is resolved to fighting his attraction to Della. As their story evolves, it is both sweet and sexy, with enough depth to make it feel real. In fact, readers should be aware that, while handled with a gentle touch, the abuse Della experienced is described. Fans of the genre will love this book. While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel. The author is on my must read authors' list. |

Steamy, funny, cleverly written with great characters. When she asks for “help” in the bedroom! OMG This author is new to me but I must read the next book (which I hope is about Arlo and Winona)! Della Munroe is 25yo, been living and healing in Credence, Colorado with her new-found brother Arlo who saved her from an extremely brutal and abusive marriage. Thing is, Arlo is over-protective and Della is ready to get her groove on, you know what I mean…so she signs up with Tinder but Arlo wants protection for her. Enter Tucker Daniels, 36yo owner of the local watering hole in this small town and Arlo’s BFF. What Arlo doesn’t know and Tucker doesn’t want to admit is that he has a crush on Della. But, she’s his best friend’s little sister and she’s eleven years younger than him. She would never have feelings for him. Right?! Thus, begins the “re-education” of Della Munroe in the ways of the dating world, which becomes more :-) and in secret. Arlo doesn’t know. Many others guess it. One wants to tell…or else. What will they do? I will admit some of the events at the end were not expected. When you read what abuse Della endured, you will be furious! How Tuck gave her unconditional love will put a smile on your face. I loved this book and it comes highly recommended. Still waiting for Arlo’s book. He’s so sweet. He deserves one. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Entangled/NetGalley. More than 5 Stars for sure! |

Della’s escape from a painful home life led to an even more devastating marriage and divorce until she was rescued by Arlo, her brother. She has spent the last three years trying to heal and she believes that she is reading to start living again and that means allowing a man into her life. Tucker is her brother’s best friend and he has noticed the changes that Della has undergone since her brother first brought her home. He isn’t about to let her venture into the world of dating without some guidance but after some less than stellar dates she decides that she wants Tucker to become her teacher when it comes to physical intimacy. I really enjoyed these two together as Tucker was supportive as he understood both the effect her past had on her life but also encouraged her need for independence and watching Della gain confidence and strength was fun to see. Not only are Della and Tucker great characters but there is a great group of secondary characters that leave us wanting more stories set in this town. |
Such a great and smooth read! A natural flow to the book, great timeline, not rushed, but perfect pace. Tucker was such a protector/provider in this story to Della although a bit hot/cold in parts. Fella was an admirable woman, still struggling from a horrendous past, but trying to live a "normal" life. I loved how she grew more confident, more bold, and more determined throughout this story. You cannot help but root for them as a couple because they fit so well together and Tucker simply accepts Della as she is, regardless of her flaws. The secondary characters add comedy and excitement to this book. Winona and Mrs. Forbes along with Drew and Arlo are great people with sage advice, blushingly good innuendos, and perfect moral support. Now I just need a story for Winona and Arlo. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley. |
Loved this small town romance from Amy Andrews. Della Munroe and Tucker Daniels have a great journey to their happily ever after. Della is trying to bounce back after an abusive marriage, and Tucker is trying to help her find her way, and stay safe. He's caring, concerned and so support of Della as she comes into her own. Amy Andrews' novel has well-developed main characters, solid plot and character development, great side characters, emotion and feel-good moments, and a lot of humor! Can't wait to read more. |

I enjoyed every minute of this book with characters so real you feel like you know them and a story that immediately pulled me in and kept me totally involved in all that was happening and I wasn't ready to say goodbye to my book friends when I got to the end. I loved the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Della Munroe, an abuse survivor, and Tucker Daniels her older brother's best friend who owns the Lumberjack (aka Jack's) Bar in Credence, Colorado. Ms. Andrews blew me away with this emotional, funny and steamy romance that left a smile on my face and warmed my heart. "Asking for Trouble" is the perfect read for anyone who needs an escape from the stress of everyday life. Even though it is the third book in the series, I had no issues reading it as a standalone but I liked it so much I plan to read the other books. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review. |
Asking for Trouble by Amy Andrews Credence, Colorado #3 A woman who with issues to overcome A man who acts as wingman And after awhile...more Will they realize what they could have Or let it all blow away… Della is ready to move on with her life. She had a rough four years of marriage, was saved by a brother she didn’t know she had, saw a counselor and knows it is her time to shine. Joining Tinder might not be the way most would go but that is what she decided to do. Tucker Daniels, the best friend of Della’s brother, is there for Della as a pseudo-brother at first...and then things begin to change… What I liked: * Della: found strength to move on after a rough time. She comes into her own and is a force to be reckoned with. * Tucker: a man I admired...though I did have trouble understanding his reasoning from time to time. So glad he finally wised up there at the end. * Drew: I REALLY want to read his story...if anyone could be a studly undertaker this could be the man * Arlo: a great brother to Della and a man that also would be someone I would like to see star in his own romance * The women friends of all ages – they added that little bit extra and I want to hear more about them in future books * Rosemary’s part of the book – oh to be 80 and as wise and wonderful as she was in this book! * The smiles and fun and steamy bits and getting to know the characters so well even though there were some heavier issues that were also addressed. What I didn’t like: * Della’s ex-husband, her father and her father-in-law. I know men like that exist but hate to be reminded of it sometimes. Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I read more by this author? Yes Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled AMARA for the ARC – This is my honest review. 4-5 Stars |

Three years ago, Della was rescued from an abusive marriage by her previously unknown big brother Arlo. Arlo brought Della back to Credence with him where she has spent this time recuperating, going to therapy and sometimes drinking too much in Jack's the local bar. Tucker is a friend of her brother's, eleven years her senior and owner of Jack's. He has spent many nights looking out for Della as she strives to recover from her previous life, but when she decides to get back in the dating game and signs up for Tinder, Tucker is horrified especially as she can't seem to figure out who the douchbags are. After a drunken kiss, Della asks Tucker to be her teacher, because she trusts him and she's worried about any flashbacks or triggers and as Tucker has trouble saying no to Della, he soon finds himself being more immersed in her life than he is comfortable with. Della is after all the sister of one of his best friends. Fun story, with some deep issues, that are handled very sensitively. |
Sweet, steamy read with hilarious scenes. My particular favorite was the trip the girls took to Freida's! A must read! |
What a good book! It was super entertained and informative. Even though is treated with care, be aware that there is some triggers topics such as domestic abuse and violence. I got emotional in some parts, but had so much fun reading Della’s and Tucker’s story. If you don’t love Tucker by the end of the book, I don’t know what’s wrong with you! He is the owner of The Lumberjack’s bar and is best friend with Arlo and Drew since forever. He is the typical cowboy with his Stetson, but he is amazing, good friend, protector, supportive, huge heart and as Arlo said, he is the best guy around. He saw Della return from the ashes and only made him love her even more, even though he tried to denied! Three years ago, Della found out she had a brother, Arlo, but more then that she had a savior and a family. He was the one who saved her from her evil husband. But now three years later and lot of healing and psychotherapy, she is ready to find her way back to dating and experience life. She really wanted Tuck, but she thinks he doesn’t want her. Their road to get together is fun, full of angst and the slow burn killed me! At some point I was so distressed with them that I said: can you please talk about your feelings and get together for real??? They were so perfect for each other, it was beautiful to read Della’s growth of confidence, she was so strong and deserved only the best in the world. And Tucker with his patience, support and love made me swoon and his line about love and sacrifice? OMG! What I loved so much as well, was the side characters! Drew was my favorite of all, so funny! Closed by Rosemary and Winona. Arlo was good too, but he need to learn to let go a little (and he is learning!). And there is Molly and Marley too. I hope there is more books ahead with at least Drew, Arlo and Winona stories. I also loved how the whole town was supportive of Della, I want to live there too! And how fun was the girls trip do Frieda’s? Very informative! Even though the book is written in a third POV, which is not my favorite, I super enjoyed reading. I loved the ending, but wish I could read more ahead of their lives as well, I wanted a little more of Tucker and Della. Sue me! |
I am loving this series, MS Andrews knows how to write a sexy, fun story that is sure to make any reader smile and sigh she has it down pat, and this one is so good, I chuckled, smiled and needed a fan as Della and Tucker learn a lot on their teacher, student journey to love, happiness and a fabulous HEA. Della Munroe has been in Credence for three years now overcoming a past that left her very scared, she is doing well after being rescued by her brother Arlo who is the police chief, but the time has come for her to get her life together and find a man and she wants to learn it all find out what she has missed out on and decided Tinder is the way to go, the first date was not so good and she gets talking to Tucker, barman at the Lumberjack and with a push form Arlo, Tucker becomes Della’s wingman, he is sure to be safe to look after Della. Tucker Daniels grew up in Credence and now runs the local bar he is well liked and best friends with Arlo and Drew, but when he accepts reluctantly to look after Della and help her, he needs to make sure she is safe but keep his heart and feelings well under control Della is off limits big time for a few reasons, but the longer they are together the harder that is to do and when she asks for help and to tutor her in the ways of a man and a woman he is powerless to say no. The pages were burning up while reading this one it sizzles with sexy fun and heartfelt feelings and Tucker falls for his best friends sister, she is so off limits, but there is no help for the way she makes him feel and Della wow what she has been through and to come out the other end strong and knowing what she wants and goes out and gets it, and that was Tucker woohoo I was cheering her on. I loved this story, truly it is lots of fun as well as sexy as, it is a beautiful romance and I loved being back in Credence and I look forward to more visits there, thank you MS Andrews another fabulous story one that I highly recommend. |
