Another Stone Barrington book, what else can I say. Predictable but always enjoyable. I do wish he'd leave some of the sex scenes out, not sure why he feels they are necessary. Stone's getting a little old to be having sex 12 times a day.

Stone Barrington is back and vacationing at one of his homes in Maine with friends and Holly Barker the newly elected President. Their visit is cut short after a shooting incident leaving 6 dead. With the help of the secret service they change locations but find out soon enough, they still have a bullseye on them.
The CIA, FBI, and of course Stone, set out to save the day trying to find out who the killers and the accomplices are to save the life of the woman who would be the next President.
An easy read that keeps you interested from start to finish.

Woods's formula for the Stone Barrington series is face-paced and sexy. Stone is on vacation with his friends when severe weather interrupts their fun, and a creepy message is delivered when no one is looking. Stone's adventure is just beginning when he must protect one of his closest friends from danger and the enemy.

I am a fan of the Stone Barrington series. I’m willing to suspend disbelief and enjoy the adventures, however unlikely. During this time of Covid, this was a great read to take my mind off the problems. This was just a fun romp with characters that are old friends.

Some of these books are better than others and this was a good Barrington read. With his girlfriend, Holly Barker as president elect, the predictable mayhem follows. Though the plot line can be expected, it takes the reader through the machinations of an ultra- right wing group, which doesn’t sound as far fetched as it might have years ago.

So, enjoy and relax with Stone and his Possee.
