I’m afraid I didn’t get on with this book. Not what I expected and it ended abruptly with no sequel that I could find. Got fed up with reading about the mafia and companies in too much detail to relate to the story.

This is probably my fault as I haven’t read the book that comes before this one as I didn’t realise there was one until I was hopelessly lost in what was happening. DNFed at 33%.

Also DNFed because I didn't finish the previous book and this didn't make any sense. If you are going to read this book, please read 'Silver Lights' first. The genre mentioned is not accurate either...

i really enjoyed reading this book, the characters were great and I really enjoyed reading the storyline. I look forward to more from the author.

TBH - I haven't DNF'ed a book in ... wait i cannot remember the last time - so this was incredibly difficult for me to give up on... but after opening it I was majorly confused. It was a screen play. Jumped ahead a bit. Still a screen play. Fill in a bit of a normal reading chapter. Then some more screen play.

I was so confused that I went back to the blurb to see if it mentioned anything about it being a screen play and... nada... So needless to say was very disappointing and so not interested anymore as it really felt like the book was more screen play then actual story line.

Both story lines were intriguing though and had I been prepared better or perhaps had the screen play been turned into an actual book I would have given it a better rating.

I've read just the first chapter of this book. I have up on the first one a little over halfway through because it was so bad. I started this one in hopes that the writing improved- unfortunately it was just as bad.

I didn't realise until half way through that this was a continuation from another book.
I felt quite confused reading this book. I had no idea what was going on for most of it, and I found it difficult to like the characters.
This is the first book that I read about the mafia / mob, and I find it didn't interest me that much.

Silver Heels is not a standalone story (in my opinion) and there must be some of the context of Skylar's journey' before. It was a bit difficult to follow not having read anything prior but I still forged ahead. Based on my reading, there are several bombshells that are dropped- insider trading within Wall Street, mafia/ mob secrets being exposed, intricate web of crime, prostitution and drugs,

I am guessing Skylar is at the epicenter, and it is her growth through which the story evolves but it was honestly really confusing to understand what was going on and the relevance of several scenes in the plot. Skylars metamorphosis seemed very sudden and incomplete and I struggled to connect with her character.

There is so much potential for this novel to be great as I like the idea of Hollywood being exposed as seen through the eyes of a dancer who was exposed to one to many bedroom conversations but it missed the mark for me.

Skylar is caught in the web of her second feature, Hollywood Dreams, a jam-packed explosive drama with Wall Street scandals, organized crime and a forbidden love affair.When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Michelle Lynn is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work.You should definitely read this book.Can't wait for the next book.
