I’m afraid I didn’t get on with this book. Bit confusing with the writing style and not what I expected.

I DNFed this book because I couldn't continue beyond half of it. Book felt like script. Though the story is about an aspiring actress achieving her dreams, I didn't really care for her. The characters didn't seem to have much depth. I've got the second book too but unfortunately I won't be able to read that!
Thank you netgalley for the book.

I loved this very much! The characters, the actions and even the plot itself! Very inspiring for my own book too!

The story has been categorised under Romance / Erotica and it was neither.
I honestly don't know what this was supposed to be.

One word “Dire’. The book doesn’t know if it’s a script or a book. Poorly written. Gave up at 20%.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc in return for an honest review.

I received a complimentary copy of Silver Lights from NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Okay, to be fair, I am thinking this is an excerpt from a larger work. ? I was barely interested in this book and it certainly did nothing to hold my attention. Everything is very fake and forced. (characters, descriptions, events)
Nothing seems realistic at all. There is no depth of character, no real relationships. Nothing of interest. I don't believe this character or this world at all. I also do not believe that anyone would work such a terrible job just to write a terrible screenplay that will never be published. (If someone planned to do this, he/she should be strongly advised against it.) This book feels very self-indulgent. I think the author WISHES she had knowledge of this environment, but is not fooling anyone. A good writer actually writes what he/she KNOWS. (Michelle Lynn, you could do the research and then try again.) I don't have anything nice to say, so I will just say, don't read this book unless you can stand reading the phrase "Hollywood Dreams" about 2,000 times in a very short period on top of everything else I already mentioned.

This book is horrible. Too much repetition. Every chapter rehashes skylars fantasy about being a star. The writing is pretty terrible too. I tried to force myself to finish the book, but I gave up halfway through the 6th chapter.
