Loved this guide to grilling! Beautiful photography, fun narrative and instructions for grillers of every level. There's something for everyone in here.

Thank you to Houghton-Mifflin and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I AM A SERIAL GRILLER - so I HAD to have this book! haha I absolutely LOVED meeting the grillers and learning their stories. To have a beautifully photographed cook book PLUS a book with great info and stories - the PERFECT combination for a book nerd like me AND a grill champ! I'm a HUGE BBQ gal that loves to throw another "on tha barbie" anytime, any weather!

Thank you so much Houghton Mifflin Harcourt & NetGalley for my complimentary eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. This is by far a favourite and I'm already googling the paper version to own it too!

When life for the entire universe and planet turns on its end and like everyone else you "have nothing to do" while your place of work is closed and you are in #COVID19 #socialisolation, superspeed readers like me can read 250+ pages/hour, so yes, I have read the book … and many more today. (I have played a zillion games of scrabble, done a zillion crosswords and I AM BORED!!!)

I requested and received a temporary digital Advance Reader Copy of this book from #NetGalley, the publisher and the author in exchange for an honest review.

From the publisher, as I do not repeat the contents or story of books in reviews, I let them do it as they do it better than I do 😸.

From the author of South's Best Butts and A Southern Gentleman’s Kitchen, an all-around grilling cookbook showcasing different methods and diverse cuisines, as well as sought-after stories and recipes from America's all-star grillers

Matt Moore confesses: He is a serial griller. He can't help it—if there's food and flame, he'll grill it. In his newest book, he shares his indiscriminate appetite for smoky perfection with a broad collection of recipes varied in method, technique, and cuisine. After a review of the basics—the Maillard reaction, which grill is best for you, and more—he takes the reader on a tour across America to round up authentic stories, coveted recipes, and indispensable tips from grill masters of the South and beyond, including stops at unexpected but distinguished chefs' spots like Michael Solomonov's Zahav and Ashley Christensen's Death & Taxes.

Moore offers his own tried-and-true grilling recipes for every part of the meal, from starters and salads to handhelds (Tacos al Pastor, Pork Gyros) and big plates (Country-Style Ribs with Peach Salsa) to desserts (Grilled-Doughnut Ice Cream Sandwiches). Serial Griller is a serious and delicious exploration of how grilling is done all around America.

A great book for the griller in your life: at this time when we are all stuck at home why not cook your way through this book?? Male or female, new griller or expert you can get a lot out of this book: the recipes are well written and explains "The Maillard Reaction" very well - at least I think it does as I have never heard of it before. and have no idea if it is actually real or imaginary. I am not a griller and it seems very ... "testosterone-y" to me but nonetheless, this was a good read for this food-fanatic.

As always, I try to find a reason to not rate with stars as I love emojis (outside of their incessant use by "🙏-ed Social Influencer Millennials/#BachelorNation survivors/Tik-Tok and YouTube Millionaires/etc. " on Instagram and Twitter... Get a real job, people!) so let's give it 🍖🥩🍔🌭
