No Offense is the latest in Meg Cabot's Little Bridge Island series, and focuses on the new librarian and the local sheriff of a small Florida island. The romance was believable and predictable (in a good way), and as always, Meg Cabot's writing style and humor was evident, as was her ability to fully transport the reader into the world of Little Bridge Island. I will definitely be re-reading this delightful book, and recommend it to anyone who wants a light romance with realistic (non-obnoxious) characters.

I adore Meg Cabot. I smile from the anticipation of reading a novel written by her, smile during the reading because of the characters and the story, and remain smiling after. she is a wonderful writer and No Offense was a good book!

I couldn't make it to the end of this one. The characters were flat and devolved into cliches. I had read the first in the series and wasn't terribly impressed, but at least that one had a plot that moved. I found myself wondering what I was even wasting my time reading this. I'm disappointed.

No Offense is an easy, breezy contemporary romance book.
This was a cute book. It isn't meant to be anymore then what it is, an entertaining and easy book to escape to.

I liked romance between the children's librarian and the divorced local sheriff, plus there is a mystery involving a baby abandoned in the library.

Book was well written, the characters weren't that complex but they were still nicely written. The conclusion of the book was well done and I will definitely continue with the series.

No Offense by Meg Cabot is a perfectly Cabot-y contemporary romance. This story takes place in the Florida Keys and is the second in Cabot's new series set in Little Bridge Island. It was fun to recognize some recurring characters from the first book in the series, No Judgements.

No Offense features a children's librarian lead, and as a librarian-in-training, I felt like this book pandered to me directly (minus the handsome cop romantic lead). Basically, spunky librarian gets caught up in a mystery that leads her to interactions with the town's sheriff. Hijinks and love ensue. Pretty cute; not groundbreaking stuff, but a funny, cute romance.

This was a really fun, fluffy read. I didn't realize it was part of a series until I finished it, so I went back and read the first book too. Definitely a great, little distraction read.

Launched into the character-driven world of Little Bridge Island, we meet the likable if a bit unrealistic Molly Montgomery, town Children’s Librarian. Molly is extremely focused on her dream job, and demonstrates compassion for everyone around her. When she encounters new town Sheriff John Hartwell, she’s thrown off by his demeanor (and looks), while he is thrown off by her assertive curiosity.

This light, gratifying love story is cozy and familiar. While Molly and John find their way together, a string of crimes threatens to pull them apart. The story is an enjoyable read – and Cabot gets bonus points for getting most everything about being a public librarian right – but it was pretty flat, with little character development. This will make for a good Saturday afternoon read for a fan of the genre, but lacks complexity that would make it more compelling and memorable.

I do love me some Meg Cabot, and some librarian main characters. This was breezy and fairly predictable, but I am not opposed to that in any way some days. I love the small town setting, too.

Quite slow in the beginning, to the point where I had to take a break and pump myself up before starting it again. As a youth library assistant, reading a story like this was quite exciting as it was the first romance novel I read with a librarian in the Youth department! I wanted to connect with this so bad, but it was cliched to the point where I was taken out of the zone of reading. It didn’t keep my attention as much as I wanted it to. A great plot idea, but wasn’t executed well for me.

A story of a of two people plagued by miscommunication and misunderstanding. Will they ever find a way to communicate and see if there is a relationship there?

I was so excited that Meg Cabot wrote a book about librarians! I really liked that Molly was shown as modern librarian, not a stuffy old shusher.

The novels starts with Molly finding a baby left in the box of the bathroom in the library. Sheriff John comes to investigate the case and is immediately smitten with the young librarian. Molly, however does not agree with his upholding the law, and thinks that he should not act as the baby's mother is a criminal. As John investigates the abandon baby and a string of break ins, he and Molly are constantly thrown together.

I felt that John and Molly's relationship felt kind of forced. Molly went from quickly not liking John, to in a relationship with not real indication of why her feelings should change- except word of mouth from others. However, it was a quick read and I did like how librarians were portrayed.

Cute, predictable, easy read. Exactly what I expect with a Meg Cabot book. Characters a good and its a fun light read. Perfect for getting you mind of the real world.

Neither Molly or John are specifically looking for that "special someone". Circumstances bring them together and dictate that they work together to find the mother of an abandoned baby, and they have to figure out how to do so. Delightful adventure!

I did not finish this book, just did not like some of the things being said. I am a HUGE Meg Cabot fan and am disappointed in this book. I also loved The first book in this series and am sad this one was not ok that level.

Cute, fun, and light, No Offense was a quick and easy read that I couldn’t put down! Meg Cabot has crafted a highly desirable world with her Little Bridge Island series. I wish it was a real place I could visit - the locals seem awesome!

I enjoy the Little Bridge Island series, but I have to say I preferred the first book to this one. No Offense was a quick, light read that immersed the reader into the lifestyle and drama of Little Bridge Island, but it just felt a little predictable and not very detailed. I will always be a fan of Meg Cabot, though! Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC!

I didn't even realize this book was the second in a series, it reads like standalone. A lighthearted and fun romance between a small town librarian and the sheriff.
Molly takes a job as the children's librarian on Little Bridge island. When an abandoned baby is discovered in the library restroom, Molly takes offense at how the new sheriff handles the case. Sheriff John Hartwell thinks the new librarian is entirely too opinionated and too involved in his case. But there's just something about her that he can't stop thinking about her.
Maybe a bit predictable at times, but still a cute story.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Netgalley. The views and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Meg Cabot's 2nd in the Little Bridge Island series, No Offense, is a fun romance. Molly Montgomery is the new Children's librarian who loves reading mysteries and thrillers or anything NCIS. Her passion for "who done its" gets in the way of Sheriff John as he tries to solve some strange goings on in Little Bridge.

I would like to thank William Morrow and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Meg Cabot is back with another breezy summer romance. "No Offense" pairs the local children's librarian with the hunky single-parent Sheriff. Finding an abandoned newborn in the library's bathroom leads Molly into her own crime investigation when she feels the Sheriff's Dept. isn't working fast enough to solve the mystery of who left the infant, thus leading her to alternately fall for and disagree with the Sheriff.
Strictly a beach read, this outing seems formulaic and not much time is given over to character development. The romance is absurdly quick and the "realities" of working in a library are not correctly portrayed. If you need to kill an hour "No Offense" will be a good choice. If you want substance in your summer reads look elsewhere.

Let me preface by saying, I love Meg Cabot books, always have since I was a teenager. This one, unfortunately, fell short for me. Maybe it's because I am a children's librarian myself & too close to the subject matter, but the library aspect of the story didn't really work for me. Neither did some of the characterizations. Overall, it was a quick read, but I don't know if I'd recommend it to others over some of her other books.
