Neither Molly or John are specifically looking for that "special someone". Circumstances bring them together and dictate that they work together to find the mother of an abandoned baby, and they have to figure out how to do so. Delightful adventure!

I did not finish this book, just did not like some of the things being said. I am a HUGE Meg Cabot fan and am disappointed in this book. I also loved The first book in this series and am sad this one was not ok that level.

Cute, fun, and light, No Offense was a quick and easy read that I couldn’t put down! Meg Cabot has crafted a highly desirable world with her Little Bridge Island series. I wish it was a real place I could visit - the locals seem awesome!

I enjoy the Little Bridge Island series, but I have to say I preferred the first book to this one. No Offense was a quick, light read that immersed the reader into the lifestyle and drama of Little Bridge Island, but it just felt a little predictable and not very detailed. I didn't even realize this book was the second in a series, it reads like standalone. A lighthearted and fun romance between a small town librarian and the sheriff.
Molly takes a job as the children's librarian on Little Bridge island. When an abandoned baby is discovered in the library restroom, Molly takes offense at how the new sheriff handles the case. Sheriff John Hartwell thinks the new librarian is entirely too opinionated and too involved in his case. But there's just something about her that he can't stop thinking about her.
Maybe a bit predictable at times, but still a cute story.

Meg Cabot's 2nd in the Little Bridge Island series, No Offense, is a fun romance. Molly Montgomery is the new Children's librarian who loves reading mysteries and thrillers or anything NCIS. Her passion for "who done its" gets in the way of Sheriff John as he tries to solve some strange goings on in Little Bridge.

Meg Cabot is back with another breezy summer romance. "No Offense" pairs the local children's librarian with the hunky single-parent Sheriff. Finding an abandoned newborn in the library's bathroom leads Molly into her own crime investigation when she feels the Sheriff's Dept. isn't working fast enough to solve the mystery of who left the infant, thus leading her to alternately fall for and disagree with the Sheriff.
Strictly a beach read, this outing seems formulaic and not much time is given over to character development. The romance is absurdly quick and the "realities" of working in a library are not correctly portrayed. If you need to kill an hour "No Offense" will be a good choice. If you want substance in your summer reads look elsewhere.

Let me preface by saying, I love Meg Cabot books, always have since I was a teenager. This one, unfortunately, fell short for me. Maybe it's because I am a children's librarian myself & too close to the subject matter, but the library aspect of the story didn't really work for me. Neither did some of the characterizations. Overall, it was a quick read, but I don't know if I'd recommend it to others over some of her other books.

Molly, is the new children's librarian on Little Bridge Island and is shocked when she finds an abandoned baby in the library bathroom. Not only is she very concerned about the baby but she's worried about the absent mother. When the sheriff, John, is called he is instantly attracted to Molly but soon finds out that they disagree on almost everything. Their arguments are often humorous and their relationship develops slowly. Enjoyable.

This is Meg Cabot through and through. You know the story before you read it, but it's so charming that you read it anyway. This one happens to be about a librarian (so of course we love it) and a Sheriff, with a little bit of teen-age angst thrown in to keep it interesting. Some of the characters are transplanted or referred to from her first book about Little Bridge Island, but can stand alone perfectly well. One thing that I noticed in both books is that even in the height of passion, she makes sure to have the lovers practice safe sex, which good for her there might be teens reading these books as well as her YA books. A fun, quick read.

2.5⭐ I really wanted to love this book because I love Meg Cabot and I really enjoyed No Judgements (the first book in the Little Bridge series). I just didn't love it. I'm not even sure I really liked it. It's not a bad book. The story is cute, but there's no substance. It is a good beach read if you're looking for something to just read to pass the time and not really get invested in.

I was so excited to be back on Little Bridge Island, and this time it's all about books! Much more my speed than animals. So, I was intrigued from the very start, but I'd expect nothing less from Meg Cabot with her resume. It's a very engaging read and I don't want to put it down. For one, it's always very cute to see a couple from a previous book still have their HEA ala Drew and Bree from "No Judgments," it's sweet. And to see the same characters, it keeps you engaged from the beginning since you already know and invested in these supporting characters. While a relationship between leads John and Molly started off professional at best, their sparks burn so bright and you end up rooting for them to solve crimes together and fall in love. (Side note, I'd love a movie adaptation if just to see Molly teach John that "Single Ladies" dance IRL, lololol!) Meg Cabot, you've done it yet again, bravo, it's so cute and I'm loving every single page. There's romance, friendship, small town gossip, and a big mystery full of intrigue: it has everything! Ahhh, this ending is so squeal-worthy, seriously, it's so darn cute. I read this in a single day, it's just adorable and engaging and fun. I liked this way more than "No Judgments," don't get me wrong that was cute and all, but this was more my speed and more than just a romance.

Meg Cabot is one of those authors you know you'll come back to again and again. She does fantasy, fairy tales, romance, adventure, and YA with the best and even though this book wasn't my favorite couple I found the ,yesteryear compelling and the community of Little Bridge Island to be to most fun. I love spending time of this island with the wacky residents similar to Star Hollow of the Gilmore Girls.
I did like the characters in the main relationship I ultimately just felt like it was too easy. I wanted them to end up together, but we spent so much time with the mystery and the solving crimes that we didn't get as much of the relationship and getting to know you parts of when a couple dates.
I will still come back to this series and characters but on the whole it's a little bit of a lower rating for me.

This book will be popular with readers of romance and cozy mysteries. I mean who doesn't want to find out what happens to an adorable, abandoned baby?

Meg Cabot wrote a librarian romance and cozy mystery? Sign me up! This book was everything I dreamed it could be and more. It was so fun and a great escape from the doldrums of life. Miss Molly is so sweet and our hero cop is HOT and adorable. This book kept me on my toes and wanting more!

I grew up reading Meg Cabot books, so I was excited to read her take on adult romance. Unfortunately the book still reads like a trite and poorly constructed YA book. There were so many vocational stereotypes and cliches that I cringed several times while reading.

Meg takes a likable little island community that is a paradise not far from Miami and turns it into a mystery of mayhem and comedy. This is not a serious romance and you know it is coming. What keeps you turning are the cast of characters and the unfolding of the bumbling librarian sleuth that keeps creating vexing days for the sheriff.

Molly Montgomery is our fairly young children’s specialist librarian. You could say she is trying to be a modern-day Nancy Drew but ends up being more like Aunt Clara from Bewitched. You see she wants to believe that everyone that comes into the library means no harm and she owes them her total loyalty and trust.

Which in theory is great but when she finds a newborn in the girl's restroom, and sheriff John Hartwell mentions when mom is found he will have to question her she’s not happy. She says people come to the library for solace. The sheriff tried to explain that the library is not one of the safe drops off centers. The hospital, sheriff’s office, and fire stations are. Nope, she was not happy.

Her opinion of the sheriff starts to change when she meets the sheriff’s daughter, Katie. She finds out he is a single father and he is going to be dancing with her for the mother-daughter dance since her dad and mom are divorced. She looked so happy and he looked so embarrassed. Which totally endeared him to her. She saw their bond and it was close.

At times they find themselves working with and off one anther’s ideas. Yes, you may know they are going to have a HEA but it’s the way the crazy frustrating couple is to one another as a couple to get there.

Sharing a setting with her previous novel, No Judgments, this book started slowly but ultimately satisfied. I disliked her technique of ending each chapter with a sort of concluding/foreshadowing statement. Overall the book was fun!

Light and charming this was an enjoyable book. I especially enjoyed the fact that it was set in the Florida Keys. Fun characters, a light read for the tough times we're going through currently. My thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Meg Cabot's books are always enjoyable, quick reads with quirky characters. If you're looking for a something fast and fun, this Little Bridge series fits the bill. I will say that I am a much bigger fan of her young adult fiction, as the habits and convictions given to a lot of the characters make more sense for teenagers. Most of the characters in this book have bizarre moments of stubbornness. I'm not sure I really cared for the mystery at the heart of the story. The characters were just to weird, I felt like the emotions around it just didn't stick the landing. Yet, living in the time of COVID, it's a pretty good escape!
