It was a fun, quick read. I thought the characters and plot were fun. It's a fun little community and it makes me want to go and read the first in the series.

Meg Cabot does not disappoint in this second book of her Little Bridge Island series. Molly Montgomery is new to Little Bridge Island and is working as the children's librarian at the local public library. John Hartwell is the fairly new sheriff in town, raising a teenage daughter as a single parent and trying to solve a string of burglaries on the island. When Molly finds an abandoned baby in the library's restroom, she involves herself in the investigation, much to John's dismay. But when sparks fly between Molly and John, things get very complicated.

I love the characters in this book. They are human and relatable but also colorful, just like you'd expect a small town/island to be. There are some subplots going on involving a young man who hangs out at the library all the time and John's daughter's school dance team. The relationship with John and Molly is up and down and at times the complications are hard to believe but then again this is fiction.

I would recommend this book for a frothy kind of beach read. The writing style is smooth and conversational, and the characters made me want to come back for the next book in the series.

I adored No Judgements so much, and was delighted to see another book set in Little Bridge. Although I enjoyed the first one a bit more, I loved the characters in this one, especially Sheriff Hartwell. We've got our signature Cabot combo: breezy comedy, wisdom packed into some wacky circumstances, and great kissing. I look forward to reading the next Little Bridge book, and hope to see more of the supporting characters.

This book was fine. The story was a bit predictable and I felt like everything wrapped up too perfectly in the end.

I can't quite put my finger on why I didn't like this book more. I think it just felt...formulaic, but with a premise that seemed kinda unbelievable at the same time? The dialogue between the characters wasn't anything exciting for me either. I did appreciate that it was a quick and easy read, and it was entertaining enough for me to finish it. The book is sweet, uncomplicated, and predictable. That doesn't mean it was bad, because it does leave the reader cheerful. At some points it was slow and a little old-fashioned. Molly, the female lead, is overly naive and trusting - she comes across more as a teenager than an adult. The idea of the town librarian and sheriff ending up together is very cute. Overall, this book wasn't my favorite, but I think readers who enjoy books about small town life, with a hint of mystery, and a sugary romance will enjoy it.

A light hearted romance perfect that’s fun to read. And it involves a librarian! How can you go wrong!

It's Meg Cabot, what can I say? I absolutely love her as an author and I love this series. It was a fun older romance because they're both in their 30s and I think he's in his 40s and has a kid. Fun people all around and I really recommend this one and the first book in the series too.

Meg Cabot introduced me to the romance genre and I devoured several of her series vociferously, but hadn’t read anything by her in a few years. This one follows a tried and true formula; a woman wronged starts over and encounters unexpected romance with an unlikely suitor. I liked Molly and John and enjoyed the mystery that propelled the plot, but I thought many of the supporting characters verged on caricatures and some of the dialogue seemed a bit out of date. It might not be Meg Cabot's best, but it was a quick, fun, summer read, and fans of the author and those who enjoy light, only slightly steamy, romantic comedies will enjoy it.

This book was good. I mean...there's a librarian and a sheriff...what's not to like?! Molly is new to Little Bridge and loves her job as the children's librarian. John is the town sheriff. The two cross paths when.an abandoned infant is found in the restroom at the library. I liked the premise of the book. The writing style was not my favorite but does not detract from the story. It felt a bit old-fashioned at times but I do think others may enjoy the pace and style of the story. Overall, I would recommend this one to those who enjoy a small-town romance with a bit of mystery.

Then she meets the town Sherrif, who she initially dislikes, when she finds a newborn baby left in the library's bathroom. Molly then discovers a young girl left bleeding to death in the library's new building. She gets wrapped up in trying to solve the mysteries and keeps running into the Sherrif John Hartwell. John is recently divorced and both Molly and John try to hide their attraction to each other. Over time we watch as they fall in love as they work to solve the msyteries of the baby left in the library.

When a man of the law meets a woman of the books, sparks fly as the work to help the people of an adorably quaint Florida resort town. As Molly settles into her new roll as the Children's Librarian in Little Bridge, she deals with each challenge that comes her way with a can-do attitude and a smile. When a patron tells her there is an emergency in the bathroom, she doesn't expect to find a newborn in a stall. Upon calling the Sheriff's office who polices the small town, she meets John, the Sheriff in town. A single dad with little in his life besides his daughter and his career, As the paths of Molly and John crisscross all over town, they learn to do one of the hardest things - admit you are wrong and work together to make life in their small town a happily ever after for all. Except the criminals.

No Offense was a cute, lighthearted read from Meg Cabot. This is a story based on a romance between a good samaritan, a public librarian, and the local sheriff. The story unfolds with Molly and John which was fun from the start. I love that the setting is in a resort town of Little Bridge, Florida. (Who doesn't love palm trees?) and also a hint of mystery. I loved the character development so much, this was a great read!

No Offense was an enjoyable, lighthearted read from Meg Cabot featuring a romance between a do-gooder public librarian heroine and the local sheriff. The writing is crisp, the tone good natured, and though I took awhile to warm up to Molly, John was enjoyable from the start. Set in the resort town of Little Bridge, Florida and with a small dollop of mystery and a fun cast of characters, this was a good quarantine read in the middle of the night.

(What I didn't get was the title--it didn't really have anything to do with the book.)

I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting with this book, but it served up an entertaining and uncomplicated dish of escapism. Telling the tale of a small town librarian who discovers an abandoned newborn and then (despite her best efforts) falls for the town's sheriff (who, despite HIS best efforts, falls for her), this has a little bit of mystery, a little bit of cozy small town silliness, and some refreshingly honest and fairly realistic romance. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Cabot had obviously familiarized herself with the realities of public librarian life and created a heroine who was more social worker than book wielder, even while paying homage to some of the more endearing and enduring "hot librarian" stereotypes. The romance plot's, er, climax, made me laugh out loud (in a good way) and helped me forgive the several places where the plot and exposition were a bit threadbare. Don't pick up this book if you're looking for an intellectual read, but if you're looking for something lighthearted with a HEA and a few giggles, No Offense will not offend.

I enjoy Meg Cabot's books and this was a cute, quick read. Fans of chick lit will devour this latest book. A good afternoon read.

I really enjoy Meg Cabot as an author, that's why I was surprised that I didn't enjoy this book. There is just something that stopped me from really getting into it, i believe it was amateur sleuthing of Molly that stopped me. I loved seeing all the quirky residents of Little Bridge again, and look forward to other books in this series.

Meg Cabot has always been an author I enjoy reading. Her newest book, No Offense would make a great summer beach read. It has a very light mystery, an abandoned baby at the library, and a sweet romance between the children's librarian and the town Sheriff.

This book has laughs, mystery and a sweet romance - perfect light reading!

As a librarian myself, I was a little skeptical of the choice of profession, but I'll give Meg Cabot a pass. Although the plot devices should be stale, Cabot handles them with humor and ease. I stayed in my pjs to read this on a Saturday morning - perfect choice for quarantine reading when you're dreaming of the beach.
