This book was okay. While I love second chance romances, for me this book missed the mark. The reason the hero left was something that could have been solved years earlier and there was a blackmail issue that really went nowhere in the end. Also, the heroine had no agency until like the last chapter. There was no reason to be daddy's girl the entire time, nor did the brother ever help her stand up to the dad, and what was with the mother? She was barely there and was a doormat. I did enjoy some of the sporatic fun the hero and heroine had on their road trip, but overall I felt like it was too much. Like the whole road trip premise dragged on for too long. Overall, this book would have been better if it were shorter and with a stronger heroine.

I saw ‘road trip’ and ‘romcom’ and it was all over. Just hadta! I had a good time with the author’s Holiday, Texas series so it was not a big decision to gather up this fun-looking standalone second chancer.

All I Wanna Do Is You starts out in the past with a couple teenagers in love and their future looking bright. A father with ideas about class differences. A dutiful daughter. A dark bit of mischief and the pair is parted to go about their separate lives.

Until fate by the way of uptight and always rushing to please her dad, Reagan Campbell, finds herself in a real jam. She is coordinating her brother’s wedding in Miami and bad weather, a lost ID, and her own dumb remark get her banded from the airport in Kentucky. Good thing her old flame, Zach Anderson, happens to be there and has his own reasons for being willing to go on a road trip with Reagan to points south. If the usual road trip happenstances, Reagan’s stress tendencies, and their unresolved past don’t get to them then the new uncomfortable attraction just might. But, this time will things end differently?

All I Wanna Do Is You started out pretty rocky for me. No kidding, because I didn’t like either of the main characters and couldn’t get behind the romance But, I did like the author’s writing in the past so I read on trusting her to come through in the end.

Reagan annoyed me from the second I encountered her and that never changed. Unfortunately. I totally get that this was meant to be a light comedy with Reagan as the comic role. I do. That said, I didn’t find her funny and ended up nitpicking and grinding my teeth until rather late in the book. If you tell me a gal is smart and put together, then she needs to be smart and put together at least much of the time. For instance, what fool hollers ‘bomb’ in an airport? Or, well, because dad is big stuff senate majority leader, won’t call up and ask dad to use his private plane when the current air taxi sitch fails? She caved to dad about everything else and her brother’s wedding was a legit reason to borrow. Then there was the whining and judgy remarks. This gal could make a cranky nap-deprived two year old sound mellow. What in tarnation did Zach see in this chick? And, that was the crux of the matter for me since this is a romance. Where was the attraction and the chemistry coming from?

As to Zach, he had done stints when his day time photographer jobs weren’t there to pay the bills moonlighting as paparazzi. And, guess what? Reagan’s conservative jerk of a dad has a son marrying his male staffer right when dad is making his bid for Vice Prez and trying to keep the wedding on the down low. Zach was out to get a bit of revenge against the senator after what the man did to break up him and Reagan and nearly destroy him back in high school so he was pleased to give her a ride right to that wedding. I totally get the temptation, but it did nothing for my wanting to get behind him as a romance hero. Fortunately, Zach had a change of heart pretty soon into the story.

Whew boy! Now, all that being said, the road trip scenario had its fun moments and I ended up really loving Zach and loving to loathe Senator Campbell. I might not have liked Reagan much of the time, but I still was cheering for her to find her backbone, loosen up, go for what she wanted and tell her dad to go get lost in the alligator swamps. That epilogue was sensational and made up for quite a bit. This had some really good moments and the pair were sexy after a bit. The cupcake (the one on the cover) was a fun and adorable thread in the story.

So, in the end, I finished and was smiling, but no, it didn’t entirely make up for the beginning. I love the author’s writing and will be reading more of her new releases and some on her backlist that I’ve missed. I am going to recommend this one to others since the heroine might not get to them like with me and it has a lot of fun and sexy moments.

My thanks to the author via Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have enjoyed every book I have read from Dylann Crush and this was no exception. I loved this one! Zach and Reagan were perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed their story. I definitely recommend this one!

Yeah wasn't happy with this book, and I feel like I wasted my time and that I tend hate. Reagan was a stuck up person with a stick up her butt, didn't care for her and all. Zach was a little better to take than Reagan but I wouldn't classify him as a book boyfriend for me, as they started driving to Florida and spent so much time together you originally hoped that they would reconnect but before even midway I couldn't have cared less.

A second chance romance, with a hidden agenda, Liked this one, but did not love it. The premise was ok, but I felt it missed the mark a little.

Zach is Reagan’s high school sweetheart that her dad got rid of to apparently protect her from his blackmail scheme but turns out he was the good guy.

Reagan is the daughter of a senator who would eventually run for VP. She had always been making her decisions because of the image her family has to uphold for politics.

Zach and Reagan’s story started in high school and was continued when they bumped into each other 8 years or so later. Things spiraled from there when they were “forced” to spend time together so Reagan could make it in time for her brother’s private island wedding.

This story would have been good if it weren’t for Reagan being stupid. In the beginning, i understood her thoughts and sentiments about everything but when the story progressed SHE GOT TOO ANNOYING. I felt bad for Zach because he was willing to risk his career and face her dad and the backlash just to be true to her but she was just not having it.

Would still recommend though. Happy reading! ✨

This book was just okay for me.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There was good chemistry between the lead characters and I liked their shared history. There were some funny moments and some sweet moments between them and I was routing for them to get together.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One issue I had was how implausible most of the storyline was. There is a series of disastrous events that are supposed to lend comedy, but they felt forced. There were many times when the reader says to themself, "Well why didn't they just __________?" and after a while that starts to get annoying.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Overall a decent read, but not one of my favorites.

I received an ARC of this title from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Hilarious! This must be the most entertaining book I have ever read. I think if I was on a trip like this, I would have given up on the first day! The description doesn’t come close to preparing the reader for the laughter and giggles this book will produce. Reagan Campbell is the daughter of a Senator and her life is governed by her father. She has learned the hard way to not trust anyone. She has organized the perfect wedding for her brother in a secret location off the Florida Keys. She has to get there before the wedding but her plans for travel become unplanned. Zach Anderson wants to get back at Senator Campbell. Running into Reagan, his high school sweetheart will make his job easier. All he has to do is stick with her and find out where the wedding is so he can get some pictures. Their simple travel plans become an adventure as they try to make it to Florida in time for the wedding. This was a great second chance romance filled with tons of giggles.

Zach gets a second chance in the most unexpected of ways with his high school sweetheart & the One Who Got Away - Reagan. Once he gets her to loosen up, have fun and be herself, it looks as though their story could have the ending he'd always dreamed it would. But will the secrets he has keep Zach from convincing Reagan that they can weather any storm together?

I gave this book a 3.5 star rating because I found Reagan hard to like for a great portion of the book. Yes, I understand that a lot of her quirks and personality stemmed from being controlled by her dad, but I found her to be a bit too stuck up, whiny and overall, annoying at times. Zach was okay, though I felt that he was a bit too cavalier and insensitive at times concerning Reagan's time constraints and feelings.

The epilogue was a good finishing touch, and both main characters managed to redeem themselves enough by the end to make me smile while reading the last lines.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

I picked this up because the plot seemed like it would be interesting, and I've been in a huge mood for romance recently! Unfortunately this didn't live up to my internal hype, I know the title seems a bit silly (the cover too) and I think these set the tone for the whole story.

Problem after problem kept happening to Reagan, and it really got on my nerves, her relationship with Zach felt a bit forced and I really couldn't get into it. Nothing steamy really happened until about the 50% mark and it was very lack lustre.

The story turned into this long winded, uninteresting road trip and that really wasn't what I thought I was signing up for.

I don't really have much else to say other than the fact I found this boring.

All I wanna do is you is sort of a second chance romance. Zach and Reagan were close their senior year but thanks to circumstances they were separated however they never got over each other. Their lives veered in very different paths but one fateful day has brought them back together at an airport that will change their lives forever.

Their journey to Miami from Chicago is so eventful and full of twists and turns some you wouldn’t believe. However their journey makes them not only realize how deeply they still care, but how unhappy they are with the way life is currently.

It was a good read and fun too. There were times you can’t help but smile and even giggle.

Reagan Campbell's flight just got grounded. She's planned her brother's perfect wedding weekend down to the minute, but her checklist didn't include running into the one guy she's never been able to get over. Zach Anderson has a score to settle with Senator Campbell. And running into his daughter, Reagan, gives him just the opportunity he needs.

Zach and Reagan have a past and it comes roaring back when the two run into each other on a grounded flight. They decide to travel together to get to Florida and the sparks begin to fly again.

This was a fun and sweet romance. I loved every minute of it! I enjoyed the characters and the storyline.

I really enjoyed "All I Wanna Do Is You" by Dylann Crush, a funny and sweet story featuring a second chance romance between former high school sweethearts Zach Anderson and Reagan Campbell. Eight years after their breakup, Zach and Reagan run into each other again while waiting for a flight to Miami, and through a series of unfortunate events, they end up taking an epic road trip together from Chicago to the Florida Keys. Over the course of the next few days, Reagan and Zach are faced with just about every travel calamity one could imagine, but still manage to rekindle their old flame along the way. However, obstacles from the past in the form of Reagan's overbearing father, a conservative senator, are waiting to confront them at their destination, and Zach is hiding some secrets of his own that are sure to cause problems if revealed.

Reagan and Zach made a very likeable couple, and I couldn't help but root for them to work through all of the problems they faced and find a way to be together. Their relationship development was nicely paced, and their banter as they got to know each other again after so many years apart was quite amusing. I also appreciated that Zach stepped up to help Reagan when he really didn't have to do so. At first, he tried to convince himself that he was actually seizing an opportunity to help himself, but that idea was quickly abandoned when he realized how much Reagan would be hurt if he followed through with his original plan.

It can't have been easy for Reagan to grow up as the daughter of a politician with all of the pressure that comes with being in the public eye. It was no surprise to me that she seemed so uptight, lonely, and anxious when she first met Zach again. Her father clearly put his career before his family and expected his children to make sacrifices in their personal lives to support his political career. I loved watching Reagan slowly gain the confidence she needed to stand up to her father and stop letting him dictate how she lived her life. Her relationship with Zach obviously made her very happy, and the senator had no right to expect her to sacrifice it just because Zach didn't quite fit with the image he wanted to portray.

Overall, "All I Wanna Do Is You" was an enjoyable story and I would recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I look forward to reading more of Dylann Crush's work in the future.

It pains me to write this since I enjoy Dylann Crush's 'Holiday, Texas' series, but I really didn't like this book. I had to literally force myself to sit down and finish the book (took 5 days), mostly because I absolutely hated Reagan. The only time I liked her was in the epilogue. It's really hard to like a book when you can't stand one of the main characters. I don't think it was the writing at all, but rather the character that I had the hardest time with.

Reagan is a senator's daughter and her dad is probably the next Vice President of the United States. Her dad basically controls her life, always critiques her and she just lets him get away with it all. She was dating Zach in high school until her dad found out and blamed him for trying to blackmail the family. So he left, became a photographer and she hasn't seen him in a long time. Flash forward to them ending up at the same airport on the same flight. Reagan is on the way to Miami for her brother's (same-sex) wedding and that's when this book adventure begins. Their flights are canceled and Zach swoops in to rescue her despite him resenting her father.

Everything that happens afterwards can't even be considered cute or funny in my opinion. For Reagan to be so 'smart' she sure does make a lot of stupid mistakes. She's also snobby, judgmental, and a flat out idiot for most of the book. The only thing I'll give her credit for is having a heart sometimes, but it hardly makes up for her being a spoiled rich girl the rest of the book.

I'll admit that I didn't like Zach at first. By 15% into the book, I already knew what the big blow up will be in the end, so it was just a 'wait and see' until the end to find out just how bad it would be. In the beginning, I thought that Zach would end up being this terrible person too. But it wasn't like that and he showed he had some great qualities. He wasn't a bad guy and certainly had the patience of a saint to deal with Reagan's antics. He came off a bit like a stereotypical surfer dude who was always chill, which I guess is needed if you're spending that much time in a car with Reagan.

The epilogue was nice, I only wish the rest of the book had painted Reagan in a better light.

~4.5⭐Rating~
••

Being a senators daughter Reagan is used to having her life all planned out for her, with ever move she takes watched, she is used to this after all but what she was not expecting was a blast from her past and a very eventful couple of days.

••

Having everything planned out to the last detail, all Reagan needed to do was get herself to Miami and make sure her brothers wedding goes of without a hitch, that would have been great had a snow storm not delayed her flight, which prompts her run in with her high school love, Zach. And boy oh boy does he look yummy!

••

Zach has spent years trying to put Reagan and her family behind him and focus on his photography career, but when he stumbles upon Reagan at the airport something changes. With motives of his own Zach volunteer to help Reagan get down to Florida, when their plane has to divert to Kentucky due to technical difficulties. Things only get more interesting from here when Reagan realises she has lost her wallet, so with no ID she is unable to fly, and so begins Zach and Reagan's road trip.

••

"She held up the hot pink tee and let her gaze flick over the slogan on the front. “’ This cupcake found her stud muffin in Nashville, Tennessee?’” Zach’s eyes widened in mock surprise. “Is that what it says? Darn, I thought I’d grabbed a plain one.”

While on the road together the pair encounter some interesting moments, which only bring them closer together and make them realise their past chemistry has not died at all. With everything going on the very last thing Reagan needs now is for the wedding photographer to cancel on her, thinking quick she realise she has a photographer right next to her. With Zach now coming to the wedding a whole lot of past lies and presents truths are about to surface.

••

“Now I can’t imagine a day going by without being with you. Believe me, I wasn’t looking for this. But there’s something going on between us, and I want to figure out what it is. I’ve never done this before.”

This book was super cute! I am a huge fan if second chance romance and Zach and Reagan did not disappoint one bit. I have to say that Reagan did need a kick up the butt and get out from under her father's tumb, but I was thrilled with the outcome so all ends well. As for Zach, I loved our hero. He was perfect, there was nothing not to like about him. I will say that I definitely am not a fan of senator Campbell.

••

Over all this was a super cute read. I have to say I loved the whole idea if a road trip love story, it was nice to see Zach try to shake Reagan out of her rigid ways. Oh and Freeway the dog was a cute addition to their story.

A trip down memory lane and off into the sunset:
Oh, I just loved this book! It is about two seemingly opposite individuals who have to work through their past feelings and hurts as they discover who they are these 8 years later and what they are prepared to do now that they are back in each other's lives. Zach is caught between saving his career and trying to start afresh with Reagan. Meanwhile she has to choose between pleasing her demanding father and forging a future of her own choosing. Their journey (literally and figuratively) is a tumultuous one with plenty of drama and angst but there was also just the right amount of humour too.
I really enjoyed this steamy standalone and look forward to reading more from this talented author.

All I Wanna Do Is You is a second chance romance about Reagan and Zach, who were once high school sweethearts, but torn apart by parental prejudice and misunderstandings. Many years later, Reagan and Zach are back together and the chemistry that once burned between them hasn’t diminished, but the past is hard to overcome and finding their way is fraught with doubt and disillusion. I liked the premise of this story and the overall telling was interesting and intriguing; what I didn’t like was Reagan. I found myself disappointed by her stilted persona and totally understood the hold her father retained throughout her life. That said, it was an adequate romance that I’m sure many readers will enjoy.
