Second in this new series and a very good read. Lily and Colin find themselves embroiled in a potentially challenging scheme. There is a small amount of angst, drama, mystery, danger, romance and steam. This is a quick but entertaining read. Add to your TBR list and enjoy.

We return to the Vale brothers with Colin who needs a nanny to help care for his daughter. His perfectly ordered life is gonna he turned upside down by one woman, Lily.

She knows it’s only temporary. Colin needs some one to take care of his daughter and she needs to find what she wants from life. Of course attractions grows quickly and things heat up quickly.

Nothing goes smoothly for the Brothers when they find love and this time is no different. Someone is stalking Lily and he won’t stop to protect her. When push comes to shove they will have to choose what means the most in their life.

This was my first book that I have read by Leslie North. This was an easy read, the words flowed nicely, and the characters were all likable. It had a few steamy scenes, not too graphic. Some parts were pretty standard but I liked that the writing wasn’t fractured and was easy to follow without being boring and repetitive. I will definitely look into more works from Ms North.

Elizabeth E. Review Leslie North The SEAL's Beautiful Nanny:
This is the second instalment of the 'The Admiral's SEAls, which is a series about how three brothers find their soulmates. This story focuses on how Colin, a single father and an ex SEAl, falls in love with Lily, a dream-oriented person
Lily is a teacher, due to her parents intimidation, until she resign from her job because she stand up for a student, that is being bully, although one of her dreams and passion is to become a famous comic writer.
As a result of her unemployment, she apply for the post of a nanny at Colin's house and she is employ. It is in this home that she has the courage to venture on one of her dreams of being a sculpture artist.
Lily and Colin feel attracted towards each other, although they both deny it at first because Lily has give a hint that she can leave at anytime to pursue her dreams, but they continue and this unsettles him, due to his love for her.
It is when Colin is shot while defending her, that she know that Colin and his daughter have become part of her dreams because she cannot do without them and also realizes she love him.
This is an explicit romance and love story that still points out that love can be find in any situation. Leslie emphasizes on allowing people to find their dreams and passion in life because it will make them happy and fulfilled and also that we can find our dreams and passions at any stage in life.

"The Seal's Beautiful Nanny" by Leslie North

My Speculation:

With Colin being a single dad, what will happen when he finds a nanny named Lily to help him raise his adopted daughter Sofia? Even though this wasn't supposed to be a permanent job for Lily due to her aspirations she had in mind of wanting to do after her teaching job didn't work out. But what will happen as things start to change and to make her may want to reconsider something entirely different for her well being? What will happen when it seems there may be sparks between Lily and Colin? Will Colin be able to protect Lily from a stalker who seems to have his sights on pressing her against her will?

Well, to get all of these questions answered, and much more, you will have to pick up this good read to see how well this author will bring it all together to the reader. Be ready for some romance and suspense as we will see if Colin, Sofia, and Lily will get a HEA in the end.

I liked, but not loved, this book. The story was definitely cute, and the romance was, as well. But the writing and plot were a little too juvenile for me to really love.

I feel as if I must be missing something here. I don't understand the many glowing reviews for this book. I have read and liked a Leslie North book before, but this book was not very good.

The hero and heroine have 4-5 conversations before deciding they are deeply in love, only 1 of these convos was about anything meaningful. I just had no idea how they fell in love.

I felt like we didn't get to know these characters very well. I literally finished the book 5 minutes ago and I can't remember their names. This book feels like a story summary instead of the actual story and there was no chemistry between the lead characters. Overall, a disappointment.

I received an advance copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

I love books about sexy Seals. And Colin is no exception.
Colin is a single dad whose adopted his friends daughter. He is a Seal; and is very particular in his ways. He has realised he needs to hire a nanny and look for a wife and mother for his daughter.
Enter the nanny. Lily is full of life and energy. She’s never been a nanny before but takes to Sophia and her role beautifully.
It isn’t long before Colin and Lily find feelings are starting to develop. But Lily isn’t sure if she wants to stay as the nanny or move into the art world.
A thoroughly enjoyable, lighthearted read.

Colin Vale is searching for a long-term relationship because he wants his two year old daughter, Sofia, to have a mother. He hires Lily Rhodes to be his daughter's live in nanny. Colin and Lily begin to fall in love, but Lily's stalker begins to threaten her safety. When Lily has an opportunity to follow her dreams, she has to decide whether she wants to go or build a life with Colin and Sofia. Although there was good chemistry between Colin and Lily, I thought that the plot was too predictable. There was a lot of telling instead of showing.

This is a great book if you're looking for a light, quick read. Though it's not my favorite style of writing, I did really enjoy this story. I prefer a bit more depth in both the characters and the storyline. Here were told a lot, but not shown a lot. Time skips along at a steady pace, so no insta love here; though it sort of feels like it, again, due to the lack of detail throughout.

Colin is a former SEAL, though we don't get to see this part of him very much at all. Lily is young and trying to find herself, along with some independence after growing up in a large family. They are complete opposites from the start but grow into themselves towards the end.

The suspense is easy to figure out and the intensity it low. When we get to the climax, it's quick and neat. Here would have been a great time to showcase Colin's military training.

Overall, The SEAL's Beautiful Nanny is a simple story that's perfect for a rainy afternoon.

My thanks to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the pleasure of reading and reviewing The SEAL's Beautiful Nanny by Leslie North.

I love Nanny romance novels. The Seal's Beautiful Nanny, was no exception. It would have been nice if Colin wasn't working as much as he's portrayed to be. Not only for his relationship with Lily but for his daughter too.

This is the second book in the Amiral's Series, and it was a sweet story.

Colin, an ex-navy seal, is a single dad to his adopted daughter, and he needs a nanny for his little Sophia. With his unpredictable hours working for his brother's security company, he wants his nanny to live with him and his daughter.

Lily, the oldest of eight siblings, is a free-spirited woman who wants to chase her dreams. The job as Sophia's nanny is only a temporary one until she finds what she's really meant to do. When Lily and Colin first meet, there's an instant 'connection.'

I loved Colin as a dad. Those sweet scenes between Sophia and him were just swoon-worthy. However, when Colin went on his dats trying to find a mother for his daughter, I got a bit irked.

There was also a bit of suspense to this romance story with Lily's stalker hiding in the dark. I think that brought this story up a star.

finished this one in a day, very short and cute story as they go. I enjoyed it, but it's no poetry, very predictable as these books can be.

Colin is a former SEAL, he's left the service after adopting a little girl whos mother he knew while serving in South America. His new job means long hours and as a single man he simply can't manage so he's looking for a Nanny for Sofia.

Enter Lily, a former school teacher, one of 8 siblings she is perfect for the role and little Sofia bonds with her instantly.

But this is only a temporary job, Lily is seeking her dream of working in the art world.

So far so very typical for the genre, but lets face it we read romance for the chalk and cheese opposites attract pairings, we love the former or active military trope for the always super hot, kind men who just need to meet their "one".

This book delivers that in spades, as well as being better written than most I've read lately, the characters while not deep do have dimension to them, you can believe that Colin learns to relax while learning how to be a great parent to Sofia after Lily introduces art supplies to their home.

The twists in the middle which lead to the couple ultimately realising they have to be togther are not so surprising but this isn't supposed to be a thriller. This is one of three books for Colin and his brothers and while it introduces each brother and gives hints as to how the first brother met his love and the third brother and his girlfriend are mentioned fleetingly it doesn't spoil or rely on the stories in those books making it a good standalone as well as part of the series.

I read it in an evening, it was a good mental floss book for me not too taxing but well written enough to hold my attention

The Seal’s Beautiful Nanny by Leslie North

The story about Colin an ex Seal who has adopted a little girl and is in urgent need of a nanny so he can concentrate on finding a wife/mother for himself and Sofia. Lilly applies for the post on a temporary basis as she left a teaching job and as the eldest of eight children is ultimately qualified for the job but is thinking about what she really wants to do with her life something of her choosing.

It is a book to Leslie North’s usual standard twists in the story you don’t expect. An easy going read if a romance is what you are looking for.

This was such a wonderful romance. It was a shorter read which i really enjoyed, but Leslie did a great job of building all her characters in the time we had with them. I loved how the story had romance, a touch of humor, and great action. Definitely worth a read!

Sweet story about how opposites attract. Plot was as expected and easily determined after reading the first chapter. What I didn't like was how Lily went from teaching to please her parents to thinking she wanted to create comic books, which was really her aunt's thing, not hers. At the end I wanted more to come from her art/sculpting so she had something she was passionate about (other than Colin and Sofia of course) that was leading her to a career. Maybe just taking the art classes was supposed to be fulfilling enough?

Ex Seal Collin has adopted a little girl. He needs an immediate nanny while he spends time searching for the perfect wife and mother for little Sofia. Lilly is making a transition in her life and becoming Sofia’s nanny gives her time and space top find herself. How will this all work out?
This is a classical romance plot that can either crank out a tired out old story or can be imaginatively and robustly imagined. This is the latter. I would add this to my own library and would recommend it to my patrons.
