I read this with my 8 year old daughter and we both enjoyed it. The stories were short and easy to read. We took one letter a day to extend the enjoyment. Each entry had a question and verse to discuss. We would both recommend this book.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book for my honest opinion.

A great book filled with informative knowledge and wonderfully colorful illistrations! This Amazing book, A TO Z DEVOTIONS FOR COURAGEOUS GIRLS, by Kelly McIntosh, for girls, has inspiring text that would make a great Christmas or birthday gift; plus, fill a little girl's heart with joy to read. This Christian book can both advise her and give her determination on how she might be able to help in some way to have lots of courage when it comes to facing any fears or problems she may have. She can also learn how she may be able to give of her time to help others by doing the (think about it) at the end of each alphabit letter. And , at the beginning of each one she can also learn the meaning of new words, along with each devotion. Like, she might be an encourager to a friend that might be having a problem. Some times, just a hug will even help a friend through a difficult day. Through a friend's eyes, you may never know when you might be a hero. Plus; the (think about it) even shows book, chapter, and verse in the Bible, an amazing book! It may help you bring your friend closer to God. You can read about some women in the Bible, through the help of God through prayer, or song, helped people. For example; In (Judg. 4:4-14) Deborah, a prophetess and judge of Israel, along with Barak defeated the Canaanite forces of Sisera. Deborah gained victory in a triumphant song (Judg. 5). the Bible also mentions in (Ruth 2:1-23), that Ruth went into the barley fields that belonged to a distant relative named Boaz, to gather left-behind stalks of grain to make bread for herself and Naomi. In that small way, Ruth helped. Look at what can be accomplished through God. I highly recommend this book for all of those courageous girls! An amazing read!

These devotions were short and perfect for my five year old! I enjoyed the scripture and simple reflections. We did a few before bedtime each night. Great for younger children! I like how the words were defined.

A-Z Devotions for Courageous Girls by Kelly McIntosh
It is a great devotion for girls 5 and up. The format uses each letter of the alphabet for a characteristic of a courageous girl. A is for Adventurous, B is for Brave, C is for confident etc. There is a brief discussion of the characteristic and a corresponding bible verse that talks about that characteristic. It would be great for morning or bedtime devotions. It would make a nice gift maybe even a good stocking stuffer.

This is another delightful A to Z Devotion book--this one reserved for girls. It is a great pleasure to be introduced to Kelly McIntosh's sweet devotions.

A to Z Devotions for Courageous Girls is as colorful and fun as the boys version. The book takes them on a journey through an alphabetical character trait list that teaches them how to become the courageous girls God created them to be!

Showcasing positive traits such as forgiveness, kindness, and manners, young girls are encouraged and inspired to build themselves up, and even help build up others

I found this book very informative for my daughter. It helps young children relate the characteristics of a Christian to the letters in the alphabet. It also asks them a question related to each characteristic to teach them about self-evaluation. At the end of each characteristic is scripture to read with your child to reinforce their learning. I loved this book and so did my daughter.

My thoughts...
This is a Christian devotional book for girls. A wonderful resource. I just love the concept of going through the alphabet to encourage positivity and help build self-esteem. For younger readers, it could be a read-along with an adult as it would encourage thoughtful discussions. The illustrations are adorable and so fun. As I was reading it, I thought about how it could also be a great reminder to adults out there.

This was a sweet devotion book with a really cute concept of featuring a characteristic/theme for every letter of the alphabet. I believe that the devotions would work well for maybe age 4 and up. Younger kids may need you to explain a bit more for some concepts (I did this with my 6 year old), and older kids may need you to elaborate and put a little bit more into the "think about it" section to provoke more thoughtful conversation. If your child is ready for a bit more depth, your family could also dive into the scripture from each section more thoroughly. The layout and illustrations in the book are really great.

I loved the concept of this book - a word for every letter of the alphabet on how girls are courageous.

This is a religious book, so buyer beware. I think it was a great book for any girl to read, mostly because positivity is important and these words are all wonderful words to use to describe young girls. Enough of us are called bossy, catty and all the other fun words girls get called when they just try to be themselves.

Those who are religious and are seeking a Christian book - this one is super adorable and a great resource! I think church groups for kids would do well with this book. It's positive and has a lovely spin on it.

To top it off, the illustrations in this book are utterly adorable. Those stood out to me big time when I picked out this book.

Four out of five stars!

What a treasure! This gem of a book has beautiful, fun illustrations that can appeal to a variety of age groups. The devotional is a great way to continue conversations, or begin, with daughters/granddaughters/nieces, to share of the child’s self-worth and priceless value in the eyes of God.

This is z delightful book for girls showing devotions to following Jesus and the bible.
This book gives a different devotion from the letter A-Z throughout the book. Each page is beautifully illustrated to match the chosen word and description.

This would make a fantastic book for children to read after Sunday school.

I absolutely love this.

I was not expecting the beautiful illustrations. I received the ebook so you can’t see it as well as a print book. I plan on getting the book once it’s out to really see the beauty.

As a mom of 3 girls I can tell you how helpful this book is.
It’s not easy raising girls in this world, having books like this is amazing.

What does it take to be a courageous girl of God? This book of 26 inspiring, accessible devotions leads girls age 5+ to consider many of the characteristics helpful in growing closer to God and serving Him in a positive way. Working through each letter of the alphabet, this gorgeously illustrated book presents thoughtful messages and challenges in an accessible, engaging way.

Each letter begins with an explanation of the character trait with a clear definition and practical examples. There is then a “Think About It” challenge and related Bible verse. As children work through each part, they gain insight that will help them develop their character, build relationships, live with integrity and find joy.

I read this lovely book with my own daughters (age 10 & 12). They felt it would be suitable for girls at a variety of ages with different levels of parent support. It could be read together for little ones, parents could join in the discussion with children around 8 or 9 while older girls could read, think and pray independently. They thought it was perfect for discussions as a family and they would like to continue looking at it over the coming weeks.

We thought the illustrations were exceptionally beautiful. They are just right for the trends in drawing at the moment. The choice of colours and variety of backgrounds make each new section exciting. It was wonderful to see the variety of activities depicted, not typically “girly” things but a demonstration that girls can do anything.

“Let the little children come to Me. Do not stop them. The holy nation of God is made up of ones like these.” Mark 10:14

My five year old daughter was a fan! The illustrations are engaging and helpful in understanding the concepts within each devotion. This is the first kids devotional that I can wholeheartedly recommend for the younger crowd because the length of each devotion was perfect!
