This book starts when Parker is broken up with on her wedding day. As she’s running away from the wedding, dress and all, she gets hit by a car. Liam helps her and gets her to a hospital and a relationship develops from there. For those of you who are verrryyy cheesy romantic, this might be the book for you. I personally didn’t find it realistic that an adult woman would be so obsessed with princesses and finding her perfect Prince Charming.

It’s romantic, but not super steamy, so if you lean more toward the smut, this might not be enough for you.

There was mental health representation, which was nice. Parker’s mom is diagnosed with bipolar and has started a battle with dementia.

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for giving me this book in exchange for my honest opinion!

"A runaway bride. A handsome stranger. Two pasts to put behind them.

This was a cute, humorous romcom book. Nothing in depth in the story-line, but it was a fast poolside read. I loved Liam and his knight in shining armor qualities. It made up for Parker, who wasn't as likable to me with her indecision's throughout the book and she seemed whiny to me.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the advanced copy of this book, in exchange for my honest review.

This book was great! I loved the relationship and the connection within the story. I read it in one sitting, which has been hard during this pandemic. Once I was reading I needed to know what was going to happen.

This book starts off with a bang, pretty literally, and doesn't slow down. The plot keeps up a good pace throughout the whole book. There were times I found myself laughing out loud because of the banter between the characters. I loved the serendipitous relationship between Liam and Parker, and it reminded me of the movie Crazy Stupid Love.

Liam. Liam Jaxson. He may be my new favorite male love interest. He had the whole package. Seriously. He owned a bar, had a southern accent, rescued a dog, and was a total gentleman. Let's not forget Parker. Parker was an amazing female lead. Even after going through heartbreak and trying to find herself, she never lost her sense of humor, and I admired her personality greatly.

This was a light fun read perfect for summer, but even though it was light and fun it still had complex family relationships that made the book relatable. Throughout the story we saw absent family members, and parents with mental health issues. Overall, this was a fantastic book. I recommend it to anyone that loves a good romantic comedy, and for fans of R. S. Grey, and Sophie Kinsella.

Love Me Like You Do by Aimee Brown a five-star read that kicks off with a bag. This was a sweet and romantic story that will whisk you away and make you want to run away from it all, hopefully not to get into an accident. I am a huge fan of serendipitous encounters and this one does them so well. We all know the heart wants what the heart wants, but just because you know something doesn’t mean its easy to understand. Liam is just the most adorable character, they all have a part to play in the story and each one will bring something different, but Liam just brings something special. Do not miss this sublime story, I do plan on going back to check out the Lucky Dress as I adored the writing style.

I would gladly adopt George and give him a few pillows for him to chew.

It's been a while since I have been left satisfied by a book. The characters were likeable and funny, I loved their interactions as I knew there would be moments that would make me chuckle. Charlotte was refreshing to the plot, she embodies the stereotypical teenage girl and bought back nostalgic memories of preaching teen magazines.

This book addresses darker subjects that gives an element of depth. It delves into the responsibilities and pressures that are placed on individuals as parents age- where as the years progress, roles are reversed. I thought it was depicted well and really showed some of the struggles that are experienced.

One thing that I was disappointed about was towards the end [spoiler] where Parker and Becker go on their volunteering job together. I would of liked to see the development of their relationship albeit with a pinch of salt. Instead, the significance of this scene was kind of brushed over where there were many questions that I was confused about.

Unfortunately this wasn't what I thought it would be. Parker gets dumped on her wedding day and is then hit by a car as she leaves. Liam helps her get to a hospital and their attraction is undeniable.
I didn't like how things moved fast between them. Parker just broke up with her fiance and Liam is making moves on her. Not too mention how cheesy and unrealistic is Parker's obsession with princesses and finding Prince Charming. I was turned off immediately. Neither character interest me and the story lacked depth.

I hate giving bad reviews but this was just too cheesy for me. Love Me Like You Do starts off with main character Parker being dumped on her wedding day, but ends up finding her “Prince Charming” AKA Liam as she was fleeing the scene of the breakup. No, really. She actually refers to him as Prince Charming. Parker is in her mid twenties and obsessed with fairytales and wants to live happily ever after like every Disney princess... gag. This story had zero interesting characters in my opinion. Liam’s 16 year old half sister was pretty cute and funny at times, but that’s about it.

This one wasn’t for me but if you’re into princess fairytales it might be for you! Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Parker meets Liam when she's dumped on her wedding day and Liam becomes the hero of the most humiliating day of Parker's life. Gradually these two strangers begin to connect and form a firm friendship. This is a relationship[ status that Parker wants to maintain - friendship only - as her heart can't take anymore pain. But Liam, with issues of his own, has other ideas. Parker is the girl he just can't get out of his head.
This is a great Rom-Com that makes full use of the friends-to-lovers trope. It has great characters that you will love and root for the whole way and a great, if not totally unexpected plot. There is a great emphasis on family and friends and the power of healing. I was so sorry when I got to the end. A great read.

Love Me Like You Do by Aimee Brown is such a cute romance book. I loved both main characters and I wanted them to have an happy ending. I always liked friends-to-lovers troupe.

Parker and Liam met when Parker’s ex boyfriend dumped her on their wedding day. Liam met Parker when she ran away from her wedding after broke up with her ex boyfriend. Liam was there when she was in a mess and brought her to the hospital to get a check up.

They bumped to each other ever since and became friends. Parker didn’t want to have anything more than friends with Liam but to Liam, he can’t stop thinking about Parker ever since they met.

The plot was amazing and it has fast pace. However, maybe author should consider to explain more about the relationship between Liam and his father. There was a resolution, but didn’t have real explanation.

Overall, this book really was good and it can be your light reading.

The idea behind this book is cute and it definitely gives you that adorable RomCom feels. I was grateful for the characters even if they were a bit predictable, and the sweet, innocent romance was hopeful and lighthearted. It was just a fun read, that had me wanting to read more.

I highly recommend this book to those who love sweet dialogues and brilliant writing.

Thanks to NetGalley and Aria I was lucky enough to receive an advanced reading copy for Aimee Brown's upcoming romance novel, Love Me Like You Do, scheduled for release 17th September.
I've never read anything by Ms. Brown before, but was instantly drawn in by the description and it did not disappoint. Going through our three tests:

Did the cover match up to the novel? It's a no for me, but not in a bad way. Looking at this cover, I'll admit, I was a bit dubious about reading this book. Don't get me wrong, the cover is a nice design and I do love the colors, but for me it felt a bit light for the subject matter and a bit more serious than what I hoped the book would be. For me, the book far exceeded the cover and I was very happily surprised.

Second, does the book live up to its description? Most definitely, yes.

Finally, how was the formatting? There were a few mistakes in wrong words, words pushed together, paragraph formatting slightly out, but I'm sure this will remain in the ARC and will be corrected for the final edition.
To the story itself, I was blown away. I always love to feel fully invested in the books I read and continue reading, and this book definitely checked those boxes. It is light-hearted, comedic, but with depth and it just kept me wanting to read. The plot itself covers a variety of topics, but does so in a seamless manner that doesn't keep you thinking, well hang on, what happened to that plotline? Everything ties in together beautifully and doesn't make you feel that something was just thrown in for extra dramatic effect. Everything that was put into the book had a purpose and enhanced the story, not detracted.

Our characters meet-cute was perfect, and I loved the premise of fate and chance taking part in this love story. The characters continue meeting without expectation, randomly bumping into each other and it suits the plot perfectly. Both our main characters were well-fleshed out with plotlines aside from their romance, and it was just simply beautiful.

Spoilers ahead.
I was a little surprised with the depth that Ms. Brown went into with Parker's Mother, and for some readers who are triggered by mentions of suicide, please read with caution. I felt that it was handled in a good manner, but, still a surprise.

Even with that, the book still managed to mostly light-hearted and a joy to read, and one that I was so pleasantly surprised to have. Overall, a fantastic book, one of the best I've read this year, and one that I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to read.

I received an advanced reader copy of Love Me Like You Do from Net Galley and Aria Fiction in exchange for an honest review. From the title, I expected a cute and fun read, and this book delivered!

The story starts with Parker being left in the altar, running from her own wedding and nearly had a traffic accident when she's saved none other by Liam. As you probably can tell, they keep accidentally meeting until they become friends. The characters were great, each with their own quirks and definitely relatable. Aside from all the cute and adorableness (is that a word?), I also loved the exploration of mental health and family issues of certain characters in this book. I really enjoyed reading it and I could easily picture it made to a movie!

Overall, Love Me Like You Do is a fantastic romcom book, with a friends to lovers trope, that is going to made you smile, laugh and swoon all at once. A perfect summer read, and I would recommend it for those who are looking for light and fun romance!

Thank you, Net Galley and Aria!

I wanted to like this one but a lot of small details bothered me - the side characters seemed very one-dimensional (why are the exes always randomly showing up) and I got hung up on why Claite was pregnant but going to hot yoga, painting, and carrying stack of boxes taller than she was. Overall this didn’t have enough steam for me, but it does stick with the chaste romcom theme so I get it.

The Quick Cut: A woman who is left at the altar runs into a man, who helps take her to the hospital. Drama ensues when these two have strong chemistry.

A Real Review: Thank you to Aria for providing the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
People breakup all the time. However, one of the worst ways that could occur is to be left at the altar. If it happened to you, would you feel devastated? Or would you find a way to pick yourself and move on? This is the situation for Parker when she meets Liam.
Parker finds herself alone left at the altar when her fiance leaves her the day of their wedding. Running away from the very public humiliation, she runs into Liam: the mystery man with the southern drawl. He helps her get to the emergency room when they decide to continue their sudden partnership longer by becoming friends. Except these two find a chemistry together that they try to deny. Can they each get past their personal issues to come together? Or will they instead fall apart alone?
The idea behind this book is cute and it definitely gives you that adorable RomCom feel. That being said, there are some fairly slow moments in the story which makes it drag quite a bit. In this case, those pacing issues meant that I really stopped caring about the characters and instead just want to get the book over with. Liam is for sure dreamy though considering what he's like throughout the story. Parker and Liam aren't perfect, but they do complement each other well with their individual traumas and pains that they need to deal with before moving on.
The ex is an amazing bad guy to hate. He may have left Parker at the altar, but his dirty secrets are even deeper and his role in the story is more expansive than the book description leads on. Seeing him weave his way around may have been entertaining, but it made it difficult to believe that anyone in his shoes would do those actions. This left me really torn with how I felt about the book once I finished it.
One redeeming quality I did enjoy was the relationship that Parker has with her mother. She's diagnosed as bi-polar disorder and is starting to develop symptoms of dementia. Seeing that play our as Parker is trying to heal herself is very realistic. Not only dealing with a mother with mental disorder struggles, but that battle getting even more complex was very believable. You get to see how that plays out and effects Parker as well. I enjoyed these areas of the story the most.
A cute story with its troubling flaws that pull the reader out of the story.
My rating: 3 out of 5

I ship Parker and Liam. Any book that references Sleepless in Seattle is a winner in my book. While they meet under inauspicious circumstances, being that it's Parker's wedding day and she's just been dumped, this book is about what comes next. It's about how love can how when two people with previous issues can grow together.

I'll be reading more from Aimee Brown.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

I absolutely loved this book from start to finish. Parker and Liam are believable likeable characters and the issues in this book are realistic. I can definitely sympathize with the cheating aspect and having an evil selfish ex. Both have painful life stories and realize what they are fighting off is the chance to actually be happy. The supporting characters were just as good.

This is definitely one of the best rom-coms I have read in awhile and I highly suggest it. I would also read something else by this author if she decides to write a new book. I would love to see Liam and Parker in another book perhaps involving his sister and her niece; just an idea.

Just an idea if this was ever made into a movie, Ryan Gosling as Liam and Emma Stone as Parker. I would see it.

Thanks to Netgalley, Aimee Brown and Aria for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

L-O-V-E love this book.
So cute. So well written. So perfectly crafted. It's dual 1st person POV, swapping between dumped at the alter Parker and knight in demin pants Liam. They meet, the don't fall instantly in love (thank goodness), but they keep running into each other, quickly developing a friendship and then romantic feelings. It is clean, it is a slow burn, I guess? but it's not really a "burn". It's really more of a slow sweet story. This is 100% Rom Com territory and I hope Netflix picks it up because it was made for a movie. I loved that Parker was a romantic who loved old Rom Coms. I loved that Liam was a southern gentleman. I loved the back story and minor plot (and to be honest, I usually skim over most of the subplots in books.) Was it a little predictable? Sure. Aren't all romances - especially the 1st person dual POV ones? Does predictability matter? Heeeeeck no. Because even if I know the ending (or some of the "surprises") reading is as much about the journey to get there as it is about the destination. And the journey was completely enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. Including myself in the future when I go back and reread it.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

Parker is ready to marry the man of her dreams. But, on their wedding day he tells her he’s not ready.

As she runs from the mess behind her, she runs into the arms of a handsome stranger.
But, again, she can't fall for another man after being left at the altar – or can she?

Liam agreed to go to go on a date, what he didn't expect was to leave with the bride., he finds himself drawn to her fiery spirit, her kind heart and beautiful smile.

There’s a past to Liam's with a lot of problems and one that keeps coming back.

He doesn’t think that time to fall in love, is now. But Parker May have other ideas.

Recommend it.
