It all starts with a letter and some pictures Olivia finds in a box in her mother’s closet, a box that changes everything she’s ever known. Oh my word... this book!! It broke my heart more than once!! I can’t say I am not very excited for the next one! Gail Haris has created such a wonderful story, with love able characters, and told it with such depth and feeling!! Noah was such a solid, supportive character! As was Richard. I wasn’t sure about Melissa. Landon was my favorite!! What would you do if your whole life, your whole existence, was changed in a blink? I think Olivia is brave... I think Sarah is tenacious, but Alice?? Alice is... well... she’s the shit!! (Sorry for the language... it just fits.) |
Wow! Let me just say that Gail Haris is a new for me author, and I am so glad I was able to get an ARC copy! This was a emotional read! This story lures you down the rabbit hole from the beginning. I could not put this book down! Gail makes you feel so much in this story! You will experience the characters feelings as if they are your own. At times I felt gutted and wrecked! I can’t rave enough about this book. I felt the connection between Sarah and her siblings. Their love for one another was endearing. You could also feel the bond between Sarah and protective, loving, supportive Noah. I can’t wait to read the next book! |

5* Olivia is close to her mother Cindy and is distraught when she is killed in a car accident. Gathering some things to take to her aunts house she discovers a box that changes her world & starts an incredible journey. A new author for me and I can't wait to read more from the Randall's |
Wow, what a beautiful book. When I started I was a little concerned about whether it would keep my focus because it felt like we were moving at a warp speed though what felt like really important material. But I highly recommend sticking with it! After finishing I feel the way it was sped through is another beautiful detail to Gail's characters. This is a book you read with no mascara!! That's because Gail has done a wonderful job of really pulling you in and giving you a front row seat to the journey and you get to really feel all the hurt and love in these pages. I loved this story so much, there is just so much to it and the characters are so well written. Definitely add this to your TBR if you haven't already, it is so worth a read. |
