A feel good read. The books shows that Becky a young single Mom will do anything for her son Byron. Becky never tells anyone who her son's father is because she is fearful of what he and his family might do. As the story unfiltered is a lot of drama and family dynamics. you will have to read the book to find out if Becky and Byron find out what love and family really is. Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to read and review this book

Small Town, Big Secrets is a cosy, uncomplicated, and sweet romance between rich attorney Steve and struggling single mum Becky. And whilst the plot is a little predictable, the characters themselves are likable and the romance engaging. Not to mention the struggles Becky faces are very real. And it's a really nice book to escape into for a couple of hours, especially if you like your romance on the clean side.

Small Town, Big Secrets by Elsie Davis a light and sweet five-star read. This is number two in the Trinity River series but they can be read as stand-alone as I didn’t realise it was a series and didn’t feel like I missed anything, I will be going back as if the story is about who I think I am sure they have another sweet read to take in. This was predictable in places and wasn’t always a five-star read but overall, Becky and her love for Byron will just wrap you up in love. I like how Parker wasn’t what you thought of him either, there was something special about him and his manner, something bubbling under the surface. If you want sweet and special, you won’t go wrong with this one.

Single mom, Becky needs money for an operation for her son. Her son's father refuses to help her, so she turns to his brother for help. The brother, Steve, needs a wife to help him win an election. So they embark on a marriage of convenience. I loved the chemistry between Steve and Becky and the book was a fun book. But there were elements of the plot that weren't believable.

This book get me warm on this cold winter May day loves. I loved the chemistry Steve and Becky had. I was mostly drawn to Becky's strength as she was willing to do anything for he son *sigh* but her baby daddy was just immature. Loved this book as everyone has a happy ever after eventually, also bryson(the son) is so lovable

This is a sweet romance that is perfect for the beach. It's light and somewhat predictable with the standard rich, powerful guy vs poor single mother. However, while predictable, I liked the author's writing style and enjoyed it. I liked the characters and found myself wanting them to get their HEA ending.

Having said all that, I felt that the way this book wrapped up with the grandparents was too quick and unbelievable. Additionally, there was the ranch problem that was never resolved - however, it's possible that the writing intended this as a hook for the next book (not a cliff hanger). Regardless, while I enjoyed this book, I give this 3.5 stars and will round up to 4 stars.

A nice, clean romance that is more than a little bland. An engagement of convenience to help a struggling single mother trying to pay for her son’s hospital bills and a man running for office needing to show voters that he is a happy family man. The plot is predictable but it a comfortable trajectory as you follow them towards their happy ever after.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was all rather predictable. Plucky, but down-on-her-luck single mom, Becky, agrees to a marriage of convenience to the brother of the guy who knocked her up but refused to give her any money for her child even though he now needs an expensive operation that Becky can’t afford. Apparently, Steve is running for district attorney and his manager tells him that he needs a wife in order to win over voters. Really? Who even knows the candidates for the DA in a big city like Houston? And who would know if he were married or not? And why would the paparazzi be swarming to get photos of the guy and his new girlfriend?

I just didn’t buy that plot line in the slightest. And then there is the mystery that Steve is investigating to figure out who is grabbing up the land in the area. That is never resolved in the novel.

I liked Becky and her cute five-year-old son. Steve seems a nice guy. But the whole plot just strained credulity.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.
