"One for the Books" is a cozy mystery. It's the eleventh in a series. You don't need to read the previous books to understand this one, and this book didn't spoil the whodunits of the previous mysteries.

The main characters were likable and interesting. This was a clue-based mystery that can be guessed before the end. Lindsey picked up clues about what was going on as she and Sully searched for someone to marry them, so the mystery was mixed into the wedding preparation. There were only four or five suspects, so more time was spent trying to prove that two people had an alibi than on finding clues about whodunit. The critical clue came near the end, and Lindsey quickly caught on to whodunit. There were no sex scenes. There was occasional use of bad language. Overall, it was an enjoyable novel.

At long last, Lindsey and Sully are getting married. Or are they? Just days before the wedding, the justice of the peace turns up dead. Now who will conduct the ceremony? It doesn't help that he is a friend of Sully's, and our favorite couple want the investigation closed before their wedding day. Between preparations for the big day, family coming in from out of town, a mix-up on the guest list, and the hunt for a new officiant - Lindsey and her husband-to-be have a full week ahead of them. Will they be able to check off everything on their to-do list before they say, "I do" to each other?

Fans who have been with this series from the beginning will enjoy the continued development of the characters and relationships throughout the town. The police chief dating the world-renowned actor, the children's librarian expecting her first child, the crotchety Ms. Cole deciding to run for mayor...a small town is never a dull place. Even those who are just reading about Briar Creek and its library director for the first time will be caught up in the mystery of who dunnit, with multiple suspects and motives to keep readers guessing until the final reveal.

I throughly enjoy this character driven mystery series by Jenn McKinkay. It’s also a popular series with our patrons.

Jenn McKinlay has done it again. Though a very quick read, this newest Library Lovers book packs a punch. The humor and library ‘inside jokes’ still abound, as does the un-put-downable readability readers love in any book by Jenn McKinlay. Loved it!

I love this cozy mystery series. Only Sully and *** would let a murder get in the way of their wedding day. I did feel that it was a quick ending and wished that it had been a bit longer. It felt like I figured out who did it, they try to kill me, the end. Didn't really get the why of it as much as I would have liked.

Another enjoyable Library Lover’s Mystery! I like the ones that clearly have multiple people who could’ve done it so I just can’t narrow it down until the bitter end. And of course I loved the wedding at the end! <3. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Lindsey and Sully teaming up :-)

I love this series! The characters seem like friends and you can't wait to read what happens next. I was looking forward to the wedding and it provided lots of humor to the murder storyline. I can't wait for the next one to see what adventures Lindsey and Sully embark on next.

I've been a fan of the Library Lover's Mystery series for years and always look forward to returning to Briar Creek to spend time with Lindsey and her friends. This was somewhat predictable but still enjoyable -- a nice escape!

Lindsey and Sully's wedding is fast approaching. Unfortunately, when the justice of the peace (and Sully's friend) is murdered on the island planned for their ceremony, a murder needs to be solved before everyone and enjoy the wedding. Oh, and there are a couple of hitches is the wedding plans too. A great addition to this winning series.

Lindsey, library director and Sully, boat captain are going to get married soon. They are deeply in love and excited about the marriage. But when they find a man dead on his parent's island, it throws a wrench in the business. That man was Sully's friend and he was going to marry them...

Berkley and Net Galley let me read this book for review (thank you). It will be published on September 1st.

Sully wants to find out who murdered him. Then they have a hard hunt ahead if them to find soneone who can marry them. Their options are limited in a small town. As they ask questions and begin their search, they have no idea how dangerous it's going to become.

The main suspect is missing and can't be located. The wife is another suspect except she doesn't inherit anything like they thought. So is she or is she not?

The man had an affair with his brother's wife and says her last baby is his. Not true but he won't give up claiming it. The brothers fight. Could Nate have killed him? Nate confesses, they put him in jail. Then his wife confesses and they are both in jail. Is anyone telling the truth?

When they find a dead body on the boat that was in storage (it smells), it was the main suspect. And Lindsey knows who killed him. It's a bit late though. The killer and the lawyer are in another boat shooting at them. Will Lindsey survive long enough to get married?

Mystery readers will be delighted with the latest installment of the Library Lovers mystery series. It’s just over a week until Lindsey and Sully’s wedding and unfortunately they’ve found their officiant, Sully’s friend Steve, dead on the beach in an elf costume after his Christmas party.
The mystery of Steve’s death adds the pressure of trying to find the killer as well as a new officiant for the wedding. Finding the killer is probably easier than finding an officiant suddenly available in December.
Lindsey does try to focus on the wedding but she and Sully (and their friends) are also searching for answers. Steve’s marriage was on the rocks at the time of his death and this provides a stark contrast throughout the book as Lindsey joyfully looks forward to getting married. The mystery storyline is really well balanced with the other events and doesn’t make the book feel rushed at all despite them trying to figure everything out in a week.
One for the Books is one of the best of the series, and I hope to see more.

The Library Lover's mystery series has been entertaining and interesting. Librarian Lindsey Norris and her fiance boat captain Sully are finally tying the knot. Lindsey is feeling a little stresssed -- the small, private wedding they had envisioned has somehow morphed into a community event, but they are coping.

Then Sully's childhood friend Steve, who was supposed to officiate at the wedding, is found murdered -- by Lindsey and Sully. They not only feel an obligation to investigate, but they also have only a few days to line up someone to marry them. There are suspects: Steven's nasty and unhappy wife, and his threatening ex-business partner are the top two.

It's fun to hear about the pre-wedding chaos while they attempt to figure out the murder. Thanks to the publisher and to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This book will be special to fans of the series, because Lindsey and Sully plan their wedding and finally get married. There are obstacles to the wedding day, including the fact that their officiant is the murder victim, but Lindsey prevails. Even readers who have not read any other books in the series will enjoy this cozy mystery.

Lindsay and Sully are finally ready to make things official! After all of the ups and downs and sideways experiences they have taken in their relationship so far, their path is finally clear to the altar. However, luck is not always on their side. Once more, death happens close to the couple and they are in the position of investigating what happened to cruelly end the life of a friend days before they say "I do". This series does not get old, and continues to grow the characters and plots. A great read.

Finally a wedding day! And of course, it can't go off without any hitches. Another fun installment in this excellent series.

I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Lindsey and Sully are finally tying the knot-but there are complications, of course-like their officiant getting killed. Read through this engaging mystery and enjoy the crafternoon suggestions at the end,
