As cozy mysteries go this series is a hit. I just love the Briar Creek community and wish I could crawl into the books and live there. In this eleventh installment of the series it felt a little like the author was closing up loose ends, will this be the last book? Fun cozy to while away an afternoon.

A week before their wedding and everything is going well...until Lindsey finds out that she has invited 3 times as many people as she was expecting! This is stressful enough, but then her fiancee Sully's friend is killed and they have no one to perform their ceremony! Do other couples have to solve mysteries the week of their wedding? Then the snow starts. Will they ever get married?

I love librarian Lindsey Norris and her Briar Creek community. In this installment, which happens over the week or so before her marriage to Sully, we get many themes running through the book: promises, family, how well we can really know someone, and how true love really behaves. All of that, of course, is set against a charming background of Mrs. Cole's attempts to be more likeable as she prepares to run for mayor, Beth's pregnancy and outrageous storytimes, boat rides and chases among the islands, and the death of a native son, whose diva wife makes a very appealing suspect.

This was a fast and very enjoyable read. McKinlay weaves together the mystery and the wedding prep well. Only a couple of nitpicks: One, as this series gets longer (which I'm glad about), we're starting to meet people who are apparently integral to Briar Creek and who are important in Sully and/or Lindsey's past, yet who have never been mentioned before (at least, I don't think they have). It feels like a bit more side stuff needs to be woven in now to present material for history in future books. And the big question of who would marry Sully and Lindsey seemed very obvious from the get-go, though it was a humorous romp through some ridiculous options :>)

Looking forward to the next one!

We return to the Nantucket area where Lindsey and Sully are getting married. This is the 11th entry in the Library Lover's Mystery series. A week before the wedding, the couple attends a holiday open house where everyone in town attends, hosted by their friend, Steve, who will officiate at their wedding a week later. A few hours later, the couple finds the body of their friend on the shore. Who killed him? And now who's going to marry them? Any of a number of people could have killed Steve - his wife who cares nothing for the local community, Steve's brother, who has very little money, plus all the other suspects. And, throughout the whole story, Lindsey obsesses about who will marry them. So, Lindsey, take a day off from work, and deal with the wedding details and move on.

This is exactly what fans of Jen Mckinlay have been waiting for! As Lindsey and Sully make final preparations for their nuptials a dead body washes up on the island. It happens to be the man who was to officiate the ceremony. Add to that, Lindsey sent the wrong guest list to the person sending out invitations! So much for a small private wedding. The whole town is invited. Thus another mystery needs to be solved with Lindsey’s help. This book keeps you wondering if the wedding will happen at all.

It is always great to return to a series and visit with characters who have become old friends. Jenn McKinlay's newest addition to her Library Lover's series is a winner!

Although I've only read one other book in this series, I really enjoyed it. The characters are well done, and I love that the author includes other book titles. I read it in one sitting.

I. Love. This. Series. This is the 11th book in the series and it just gets better. I enjoyed reading how Lindsey and Sully's wedding progressed. Throw in a murder mystery and you have one truly enjoyable read. Fast paced read where I couldn't put the book down. I also liked how Ms. McKinlay slides in some of her other book titles into the story. Super cute how she added "Paris is Always a Good Idea," into this story. I chuckled along with it. Can't wait to read the next adventure in this series.

Another winner in one of my favorite cozy mystery series. This time Lindsay and Sully are finally tying the knot...if the murder of their officiant doesn't stop them. The stakes are high but of course we know our heroine will prevail.
