There is something extra special about Christmas books and that this one has four novella length Amish stories by my favorite authors is a bonus.
I'll admit to reading Christmas books not just at Christmas time but all year for that warm fuzzy feeling they bring me. They are a warm hug with a cup of hot cocoa kind of book that I can't get enough of.
An Amish Christmas Wedding is such a fun and clean romance story, a fast read for me.

"An Amish Christmas Wedding" features four stories by authors who are well-known for writing fiction featuring Amish people. Although these stories focus on relationships, they are by no means romance stories alone. In each telling, the main characters face obstacles to their relationships: old hurts, past secrets, family situations, and widowhood, to name just a few. The characters range in age from young adult to senior citizens. While each story is set in an Amish community, the stories display differences that make each of them unique and interesting in their own right. Although the action is set during the winter holidays, each story could have been set at any time of the year. Each is a stand alone and can be read on its own. The stories are clean and sweet, without any use of strong language or graphic descriptions of violence or intimate situations. They are strongly recommended to readers who enjoy well-written stories about Amish people. Discussion questions and author bios are included.

I received this book from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

An Amish Christmas Wedding is four novellas from your favorite Amish authors! Each one is full of love and joy and Christmas spirit! I really enjoyed these stories, as I always do when reading works by these ladies.
In the first story, Evergreen by Amy Clipston, Lorene's younger sister is going to marry her ex-fiancé Ryan's younger brother! Talk about awkward! When Lorene agrees to be her sister's side sitter, she realizes that she will have to spend a lot of time with Ryan. The more time she spends with him though, the more she realizes that she never really stopped loving him. How will they get through this Christmas wedding without shattering her heart?
In Holiday of Hope by Kelly Irvin, bachelor Henry agrees to care for ten year old Tommy, the son of his deceased friend. However, Tommy is hurt, angry, and confused. Leesa, the new teacher at the Kootenai school, is determined to help Tommy, but will she find more? Could she also find hope for her future with Henry?
Wreathed in Joy by Kathleen Fuller follows Mary and Jakob, two people who have been friends their entire lives. When they try to date, their friendship falls apart and they lose touch. However, when Mary breaks her elbow at Christmas time, Jakob determines to help her finish getting ready for the holidays, including some cakes for a friend's Christmas wedding. When sparks start to fly between them, can they both put the past behind them and face the future?
The last, but certainly not least, story is by Vannetta Chapman. It is the story of Micah and Rachel, two people who are older, but still young at heart. Widow Micah brings Englishers to Rachel's home for tea on Amish tours. The more time they spend together, the more he hopes for a future with her. Rachel has never married and recently lost her parents, but is surprised to discover she has family she never knew about. When Micah brings her an injured and lost dog, they begin to forge a new future together.
I truly enjoyed this book. I love heartwarming romance, especially Christmas ones! Just in time for the holidays, this is a set of beautiful stories that will make you want to enjoy more!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book. All opinions are my own.

A pretty decent Amish themed Christmas novel. Didn’t connect to the characters that well but was a nice read x

This is a lovely collection of Amish stories by some very talented writers. Each of these stories feature interesting couples that immediately drew me into the story. Although these stories are shorter in length, each one felt complete, and the endings weren’t rushed. Since this collection has a Christmas wedding theme, it was fun following each couple as they had to overcome difficulties to reach their own happily-ever-after.

This is perfect, heartwarming reading for the holiday season. I’d love to read another collection by this same group of authors. These stories are sweet and clean, and have an emphasis on trusting God for guidance.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Christmas time is approaching and the perfect thing to get you in the mood is a great Christmas story. These four stories keep the commercialization out of the stories as we look at Christmas from an Amish point of view. There are stories full of reality and hardships that have the reader wishing the characters the best.

Evergreen Love – Lorene had resigned herself to the fact that her young love did not work out and she will remain single the rest of her life. But when her once love enters back into the scene, will they be able to be in the same room again? Their feelings are complicated but will they be able to work it out again? I quickly was thrown into the believable story and cheering them on!

Holiday of Hope – When a single man suddenly is the caretaker of a young boy, he has his hands full. Teacher Leesa Yoder has taken on the challenge to help her student as well. Can they help the young boy who has faced so many difficulties early on in life to begin to thrive again? I really enjoyed a story that was not a typical Amish storyline and addressed hardships from several points of view.

Wreathed in Joy – Two best friends decide to give dating a chance. Will it work out? The sudden pressure for a romantic relationship didn’t work for Mary and Jakob. Can they become friends again or has too much damage been done to their relationship? I had a hard time putting the story down to find out.

A Christmas Prayer – Lastly, romance is not only for the young. I loved to see how the budding relationship between Micah and Rachel developed right on the pages of the story. To see the love for each other stretch beyond his desires was remarkable. He seemed to know exactly what she needed in every situation as he was attuned to her.

I would have a very time choosing a favorite of the four books. Since they are short stories, the authors had to do their best to introduce the characters, help the reader relate, and express the problem in a very short amount of time. I felt as if all four did this is remarkable ways. I was invested in the storyline of each story and wanted to know how it would end. The fact that it centered around Christmas was an added bonus!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own and I was not required to leave a positive review.

An Amish Christmas Wedding
I love Christmas stories. I love Amish books. And what a treat when it is a book of the Amish community during the Christmas season. I quickly picked up the book and got myself comfortable. The authors are all familiar to me so I knew it was going to be good.

The stories included are:

Evergreen Love

Holiday of Hope

Weather in Joy

A Christmas Prayer

Each story is a gift to cherish and enjoy. The Amish couples in the stories learned valuable lessons such as forgiveness, hope and that GOD will never forsake them.

So pick up a copy and get in the holiday spirit.

Five stars!!!!

I received this for free from Celebrate Lit to review.

4 Amish couples find a second chance at love and hope for a new beginning in this Christmas collection of novellas.

I enjoyed this heartwarming collection of unique love stories by some of the biggest names in Amish fiction. Some couple get the chance to rekindle an old flame, while others have their eyes opened to the opportunity for love around them.

I liked the second chance to right a misunderstanding in Evergreen Love. And I couldn't resist my favorite trope of all of friends to lovers in Wreathed in Joy, I liked their ease with each other, and how much they knew the other. I admired Henry and Leesa's patience and love for Tommy, in Holiday of Hope, as well as how they made a good team, as they worked to find solutions for the challenges they faced. And I absolutely loved how A Christmas Prayer focuses on an older couple, and the dog that brings them together, because I don't think that young people should have all the fun.

Overall, a sweet heartwarming Christmas collection of stories, set in various plain communities across the country. I loved the meeting the characters and their families as they prepared for the holiday. This would also make a great gift for the Amish fiction lover in your life.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I love books where authors come together and give readers a collection of stories packed in one book. These stories are entertaining and allows us to visit the Amish during holiday times. Each story is a stand alone yet each author made their story flow easily into the next. . Enjoy your time getting into the holiday spirit.

Evergreen Love byAmy Clipston

What a great story about second chances. It was sad that Lorene and Ryan ended their engagement. I think Lorene didn’t really give Ryan time to explain why he kept putting off building a house for them. We sometimes make rash decisions in the heat of our emotions and regret them later.

I couldn’t wait to see what would happen when Ryan returns after being away for several years. Lorene learns a valuable lesson in sharing her feelings and allowing Ryan to finally open up to her. There is something special about weddings. Lorene and Ryan experience some awkward moments but God had a plan for them. It is a wonderful and sweet story of family, forgiveness and finding happiness.

Holiday of Hope by Kelly Irvin

Oh my did this story tug at my heart. Can I just give Tommy a big hug? The pain of feeling all alone in the world is hard for Tommy. Now after losing the last person he cared for he is shuffled off to live with Henry. This child need some compassion, guidance and someone who cares about him. It was sad to read that Tommy doesn’t believe in God anymore. I can understand how hurt he is by losing family members. Sometimes we are mad at God because we don’t understand why bad things happen.

With the help of Leesa and Henry, maybe Tommy will let down his guard. Leesa is such a sweet character. You can tell right away that she cares about other people. I loved reading how Tommy slowly began to change and allow God to work on his heart. The Christmas program was fun to read about and I could tell Tommy was happy to be part of it.

“God has a way of leading us to water, doesn’t He? Now you just have to drink.”

Wreathed in Love by Kathleen Fuller

How fun it must be to have a wedding at Christmastime. The decorations are beautiful and families gather to share happiness and the holiday season. I couldn’t wait to see how the author would use this wedding to get two people back together. Mary and Jakob use to date but that ended a year ago. Now they find themselves spending time together helping Mary’s friend with her wedding. I would love to attend an Amish wedding someday.

I really liked how the story talks about friendship and helping others out. Mary has to rely on Jakob to help her with baking obligations when she is injured. It’s the perfect setup for these two to rekindle their friendship and perhaps more. The author delivers a wonderful story about trusting . It can be hard sometimes to let out guard down and allow someone in. Mary is a great example of learning to trust God with her feelings and giving Jakob the chance to try to repair their relationship.

A Christmas Prayer by Vannetta Chapman

There are so many things I loved about this story. I loved that it focused on older adults, a dog that stole my heart and finding love. It was nice to be part of the tour as Rachel opens her home up to tourist. She answered questions from them and I loved how she did it with grace. I learned that when Amish make quilts, they put a mistake in them to keep them humble. The answer Rachel gave about the Amish being a cult made me understand them better. They only worship God, not a person like a cult does.

Now on to the fun part of the story. Rachel is lonely and not excited to spend Christmas alone. How sad it was to learn that Rachel never married. Rachel’s friend Micah comes over with an injured dog hoping she will take the dog. After all Rachel is alone and the dog needs someone to nurse back to health. I laughed when Rachel said no as the dog’s big sad eyes looked at her.

There are a few surprises which really made the story more interesting. Micah and Rachel seem to slowly become more comfortable around each other and I was cheering for them to have the best Christmas ever. Prayers are powerful and in this story it shows that God does answer prays. He may not answer them as soon as we want but He has a plan for our lives. I would love to see a follow up story with Micah and Rachel because they are special people who represent that no matter how old you are, you can find love in God’s timing.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit and Netgalley. The review is my own opinion.

Evergreen Love by Amy Clipston - I love this story and reading about Ryan and Loren. One story that sometimes we misunderstand why things have happened and jump to conclusions but second chances do happen.
Holiday of Hope by Kelly Irvin - This story tugged at my heart and had me cheering Henry and Leesa. When a child loses faith in God can Leesa and Henry change the childs view and maybe have some holiday cheer for themselves too
Wreathed in Joy by Kathleen Fuller - Teaches us that time makes the heart grow founder and new joy comes to those who wait.
A Christmas Prayer by Vannetta Chapman - Sometimes love finds us even if we are older and The Christmas season brings family and a few surprises.

You will not be disappointed with any stories in this book. The authors have brought the holiday season to life and endeared the characters to my heart. Wonderfully written and a joy to read.
The opinion is my own and I am under no obligation to give a positive review.

An Amish Christmas Wedding is a collection of four novellas; each one with its own special story, but all with a Christmas theme.

Evergreen Love tells Ryan and Lorene's story. When they're forced to reunite after avoiding each other for years, they learn that sometimes love is worth giving a second chance.

In Holiday of Hope, a young widower, Henry, and a rejected schoolteacher, Leesa, come together to help an orphaned child find his place in the world.

Wreathed in Joy introduces us to longtime friends, Mary and Jakob, as they decide to give their relationship another try after an awkward reunion.

A Christmas Prayer reminds us that it's never too late to find love, as we follow the story of sixty-year-old Micah and fifty-six-year-old Rachel.

Each of these stories was unique in their own way, and I thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the final novella in the collection, as I don't often read novels featuring older couples.

If you enjoy Amish fiction, or if you just love a good inspirational Christmas story, you won't want to miss An Amish Christmas Wedding!

An Amish Christmas Wedding contains four delightful and heartwarming Amish stories from Amy Clipston, Kathleen Fuller, Kelly Irvin, and Vannetta Chapman. I found all of them to be well-written with steady pacing and charming characters. There are lovely themes in each book. Love, hope, grace, faith, and second chances are just a few of them. I enjoyed reading about the Amish Christmas traditions where they focus more on God and family than on material things. Of course, I just loved the Christmas weddings. It is a magical time of year to get married. I enjoyed all four stories, but I admit that my favorite was A Christmas Prayer by Vannetta Chapman. I liked the older main characters and that sweet dog. An Amish Christmas Wedding is a lovely way to spend an afternoon. It got my mind off stressful situations. It provided me with peace and the hope that love might find me yet. We need more clean, wholesome stories like these. An Amish Christmas Wedding has put me in the mood for Christmas (I have been humming Christmas carols all day). An Amish Christmas Wedding contains four sweet Amish stories from four talented female writers.

An Amish Christmas Wedding is a compilation of four Amish stories, written by four different authors.

Evergreen Love by Amy Clipston, Ryan and Lorene were engaged to be married but broke up. Now years later their siblings are getting married and they are pulled together for the event. Ryan finally explains to Lorene the reason he did not build a house for them.

Holiday of Hope by Kelly Irvin, Henry is now caring for his friends 10 year old son, Tommy. Tommy struggles with getting along and causes trouble in school. Together Henry and the teacher, Leesa, work to help Tommy.

Wreathed in Joy by Kathleen Fuller, Mary and Jakob did not work out as a couple. Now a year later, Mary has committed to making a friends wedding cakes but when she gets injured, Jakob is there to help her.

A Christmas Prayer by Vannetta Chapman, Micah is a widower that runs an Amish Touring Company that allows the English to learn more about the Amish. Rachel’s home is on the tour. She has never married and cared for her parents until their deaths. Now she is all alone with no known extended family.

I enjoyed reading these short stories. These are all easy to read, good clean stories of second chance loves that are just the right length to read in an evening. There are good messages shared in each of the stories. In Evergreen Love, we see the importance of communication and honesty. In Holiday of Hope, we see the generosity towards a young orphaned boy. In Wreathed in Joy we see the caring between friends. In A Christmas Prayer, we see lonely people reaching out to others.

I received an ebook copy of this book from Zondervan, NetGalley and Celebrate Lit. This is my honest review.

An Amish Christmas Wedding is a collection of four novellas centered around romance and Christmas. Written by four authors,(by Amy Clipston, Kathleen Fuller, Kelly Irvin, & Vannetta Chapman) each story is different, yet they each focus on the beauty of hope, second chances, and love. Four Amish Christmas romance stories. While each was pretty predictable from the beginning, I thoroughly enjoyed each one.
Evergreen Love by Amy Cliptson: Lorene Bontrager is convinced she'll forever be single. An old maid. Five years earlier she had broken things off with Ryan Lapp. They were supposed to marry, but he never would commit to building them a house. She took that as a sign that he truly didn't want to marry her. Assumptions many times aren't always correct, as in this case. Ryan moved away, but when Lorene's sister announced she was to marry Ryan's younger brother, well, how was Lorene going to handle that situation? Ryan would obviously be around more in the wedding planning, and she and Ryan were to be in the wedding! Could she bear being around him after everything that had happened between them? Or, rather, didn't happen?
Read this story to find out.
Holiday of Hope by Kelly Irvin: Henry Lufkin is a single Amish man who suddenly finds out that his friend has passed away and left instructions for his son to be raised by Henry in such an event. Henry likes his single life. His alone time. Whatever will he do with a ten year old boy? A boy who certainly doesn't want to be with Henry. The poor boy has lost so much. His dad, and then his aunt who was raising him. Henry definitely has his work cut out for him. Oh, and did I mention, the boy doesn't believe in God? An atheist Amish as their driver said. Oh, boy.
Oh, and Tommy also doesn't like to bathe or attend school.
Leesa Yoder has inherited the job of teaching when her sister married. She doesn't believe this is what she should be doing, or wants to do. Nervous on her first day on the job, and Tommy shows up. She walks Tommy home to discuss his behavior with Henry. They agree to work together to help Tommy. Will Leesa and Henry find love together? You'll have to read this delightful story.
Wreathed in Joy by Kathleen Fuller: Mary and Jakob were friends forever, it seems. Since they were children. Older, they decided to take their relationship further, and began dating. Kathleen eventually broke things off, and Jakob agreed. It just seemed they were better as friends. But, as the saying goes, you can never go back. Or can you? It seemed the friendship they'd shared for so long was now awkward and gone.
A year later, an event pulls them together again. Will there be love for them at the Christmas season? Read to find out!
A Christmas Prayer by Vannetta Chapman: Rachel King has lost both parents and has never married. She lives alone and is often sad and feels so alone. How it would be to have family to love and share life with! No siblings, grandparents, no one.
Micah Miller, a widower, has started Amish Tour Company. It's for the Englischers to experience just a bit of the Amish lifestyle, and perhaps take a bit of it back home with them. Rachel's home is one of the tour stops. She prepares tea and snacks for the Englischers. She allows questions about the Amish way of life, and at the end of the visit, she shows them her handmade quilts that some of the ladies purchase. It is enjoyable for Rachel.
One evening, as Micah is going home, he finds a stray dog on the road, in the snow. He sees that it has an injured leg. Micah lives with his son and his family and several in the household are allergic to dogs, so he realizes he cannot possibly take the dog home with him. So, he turns around and takes it to Rachel. He has seen the sadness in her eyes, and thinks maybe a dog for company would bring her joy. She agreed to take the dog for the night.
When Micah returns the following day, they take the dog to the vet to learn it is chipped, and it's owner passed away several weeks earlier. Poor thing has no home.
Rachel decides to keep the dog, and it does bring her joy. But, the dog isn't the only one who becomes a source of joy and hope for Rachel. Is there Christmas love for Rachel?
I was given an advanced copy of this by the publisher, Zondervan and Netgalley. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review.
