Still not over you shares 3 novellas of f/f couple that have broken up and then been brought back together. The authors of each of the novellas present great characters and differing story lines on how the women get back together and what broke them apart in the first place. My favorite story was On the Rocks followed by my forever girl and lastly Double Jeopardy. I connected with Double Jeopardy the least and the least connection with the character but it is a great novella. I can’t wait to read more from these authors.

Still Not Over You gives us three short stories about second chance romances by three well published authors.

Let's start with my favorite - On the Rocks by Ali Vale. Preston and Hayley fell in love with each other 8 years ago during their last year in college. Hayley ran without saying goodbye. Now they meet up again when Hayley is to pitch the next advertising campaign. It is a shock to both. I think this one became my favorite because of the mains and the supporting characters. You can obviously see the love that the mains still feel and they both are likable despite the way the relationship ended years before. I just found them to be adorable and I kept rooting for them the entire time. 4 stars.

The other two stories are equal to me. My Forever Girl by Jenny Frame starts 4 years after Brayden and Faith divorced. Since this is a short story, I don't want to give away much. I will simply say that Brayden for sure is dealing with the mistakes she has made in their marriage. I can't say that she is totally at fault for it's demise, but she play a very strong part. Over Faith was my favorite in this one. Brayden just held on to a tad bit too much guilt for me to really like her character. In the end I did root for them to find love again because it was clear they were made for one another. 3.5 stars

Double Jeopardy by Carsen Taite was overall enjoyable. The mains here Katie James and Emma Reid. Katie left Emma the day before getting married several years before. A week before Katie is set to marry Ann, Emma reappears. I really did like Emma and in may ways I didn't really care for Katie that much. I didn't start to feel a connection to her until after it was revealed by Katie left Emma all those years ago. I think I would have liked her better if I new the circumstances. I guess what it boils down to is that I didn't really root for them as I did the other mains in the two stories mentioned above. Also, I wished for a little more in the ending than was given. 3.25 stars

Overall I rate Still Not Over You at 3.75 stars.

The theme of these three short stories focused on second chance romance.

The first story was written by Jenny Frame and focused on a previously married couple, Bray and Faith, whose marriage was torn apart by a gambling addition coupled with postpartum depression. Neither Bray nor Faith have moved on so their mutual friends invite each of them on a two week cruise to celebrate the mutual friend's fortieth birthday. But neither of them know that the other will be on the cruise. The story describes how they deal with their mutual grief and work their way back to each other. This was an engaging story with Frame's familiar butch/femme theme.

The second story called Double Jeopardy was by Carsen Taite. Katie James is entering a marriage of convenience in order to keep her family company above water. In the weeks leading up to her wedding she runs into Emma Reed, the former love of her life who she left at the altar several years earlier. For me this story lacked some basic character chemistry and therefore I found it the least engaging of the three short stories.

The final story by Ali Vali exuded character chemistry when whiskey distiller Preston "Max" Cinclair, meets her college sweetheart, Hayley Wyatt, again in New Orleans. The Cinclairs are hiring a marketing firm for their distillery and Hayley and a co-worker are slated to make a marketing pitch. In my opinion this was the strongest offering of the stories. It was well written, the characters were solid, and I cared about what happened to them,

We have three different short stories that start off great. I enjoyed the first story, but just went down hill from there. For the most part all the stories are good but just barely enough to have me continue reading. I really can’t give a more detailed review, the stories are somewhat lacking my enthusiasm.

If you're looking for a few nice second chance romances this is the book to grab. All three stories are written by well-known authors Jenny Frame, Carsen Taite and Ali Vali. Since it are three short stories in one book I'll state the obvious in saying that ofcourse the romance goes on a fast schedule but I don't think you would expect differently. The premise in all three stories is different; first a divorced couple with the weight of addiction and miscarriage stuck on a cruise together 4 years after their divorce. I liked how the author handled the guilt on both sides and you could understand and connect to both sides of the story.
Then there was the story about Katie who left the love of her life on the eve of their wedding just to see her again for the first time when applying for a marriage license with someone else. The first person POV made it hard for me to connect to Emma and understand her reasoning. On top of that the shortness of the story made me kind of annoyed with Katie for not having more of a backbone. Which might not have happened if you lived through to the past with her and were more emotionally involved.
Then the third about the heir to a whiskey company hiring a marketing agency and finding out that the lead on one of the companies in the running is the girl that broke her heart 8 years earlier after a year full of love. I learned a lot about whiskey in this one and it has given me an urge to try it out myself.

All three books are well written and while one or two might resonate with the reader more it depends on the reader which one(s) since they are all different with the common factor second chances. Not a book you will be sorry to pick up when sitting in a chair outside enjoying the nice weather with a good drink at hand.

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. This was a great trio of novellas. I liked two better than the other. Second chance romances are probably my favorite and this book did a wonderful job showcasing these second chances!

I’m usually not a fan of anthologies because let’s be real. The characters are usually in love by page 5, having sex b6 page 8, and married and HEA by page 20. The end. So I haven’t read one in 8 years. Bu5 I love these three authors so I was definitely willing to make an exception. And I wasn't disappointed. Jenny Frames was my favorite because her book actually read like a book and not a short story. It was well written and hot as always. Carsten Taite’s book was ok but it ended really fast. I did like that she stepped out of her normal courtroom to use as a background and Ali Vali’s book was ok as well. I gotta be honest here. I feel I like she uses the same formula in all of her books just changes faces, names and places. Overall, this is a book that I would recommend because the stories were more in depth than what you typically find in an anthology.

I was looking forward to this book, because it was written by 3 authors I really enjoy. It didn't disappoint! I won't go into a summary of each, since they do that well enough, so I'll just give my opinion about each one individually.

The first book by Jenny Frame was longer than I thought it would be, and felt complete once it ended. It was sweet and felt realistic when it comes to the notion of divorce and still not being over your ex. It was clear that they were both still very in love with each other, but sometimes that isn't enough. It was a good first book to start off the series.

The second book by Carsen Taite was the shortest one. This was the only one that felt like it was too short, since the end rushed a bit. I would have liked more of a conclusion, but it was still a fun read. I thought by the description that it could end up being a cheating story, which I avoid, but it wasn't. I don't want to give away why that is, since you find out pretty early. It's unique!

The third book by Ali Vali was worth the whole book. I loved it, and wished it was longer and also a series. Not because it felt short, but because I really liked the two main characters, and hope they pop up again. It takes awhile for them to work out their history, and I loved the chemistry that built while it was happening. It also really leaned on the notion that you can grow up and change for the better, so a second chance could really work out.

Overall, it was a great variety book. Would recommend.
