First off, there's no Saitama in this volume, kinda funny, since this is the first volume of this series I've read ha! I think he was in one panel, sort of showing he was off somewhere else while his buddies are looking for him. We start this chunk of story with the S class heroes trying to strategize about how to fight the Monster Association, but there's a lot of egos getting in the way of the plans (looking at you, Tornado and Amai Mask). They finally get their act together, and head off to the battle, with A and B class heroes for support. Meanwhile, Blizzard and the new Blizzard Bunch meet up at Saitama's apartment, but he's nowhere to be found, so they start heading to the battle too. The first group arrives at the Monster Association, and all kinds of fighting ensues. We do get to see some new heroes and get a feel for their abilities, so that's cool, but the end is pretty abrupt. There's a bonus short chapter at the end that goes over the new heroes' weapons. My favorite part? King, just being King, trying to sneak off, and ending up in the middle of the action as he always does.

This wasn’t my favorite one punch man ever. There’s a lot of build up to the next novel, from the start of this novel. It didn’t feel very satisfying to read.

It's kind of hard to review an ongoing series, but if there is anyone who is interested in superhero/action manga, or the genre in general, that also pokes fun at the genre it is a part of, then this is the series for you.

Thank you Viz and Netgalley for the digital ARC.

So Volume 20 begins the planning and assault on the Monster Association headquarters. There is a lot of politics in this volume and a lot of over the top action with the introduction of a number of new hero characters. A lot of fun and quick action. And we have a lovely bit of set up for the future volumes with more Saitama, who barely appears in this volume. Can't wait to see where the series will go.

Have you ever trained so hard all your hair fell out? That's exactly what Satima had to go through to become that powerful. This book was fiction, I really enjoyed this book I thought is was very entertaining and fun. I loved all the action sequence's in this volume.

This volume ramps up the action and like some of my common issues with this series, it lacks One Punch Man. The creator feels content to leave us with the third string characters and while some are interesting, the heart of the series is fading into the background. This is not my first complaint of the series running away from the core character but this book almost did not include him.

The action of the series is still some of the highlights, those battles are insane and brutal at the same time. I have yet to commit to the Tv show but I hope they can capture these fight scenes, they are just the best. The monster confrontation are fun and some of the heroes fall to these creatures but its all fodder until One Punch enters the scene.

All in all, One-Punch Man, Vol. 20 is a wonderful continuation to a new series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
